For Discussion: Did Obama Blast Money Mitt Too Late In The Game?

POTUS gave the confident rebuttal we all expected last night…but after the Debate’s were over. And while he came back with fighting words, many of us are still talking about his lackluster performance and wondering what the hell happened? According to The Huffington Post , Barack came back with fighting words during a post-debate rally and Robney’s campaign smacked it down as “damage control”. Looking for a quick recovery from a disappointing debate, President Barack Obama questioned the identity of the “real” Mitt Romney on Thursday, suggesting his Republican rival had not been candid about his policy positions while on stage. “Gov. Romney may dance around his positions but if you want to be president, you owe the American people the truth,” Obama said Obama said that when he reached the debate stage “I met this very spirited fellow who claimed to be Mitt Romney. But it couldn’t have been Mitt Romney,” Obama said, adding that the “real Mitt Romney has been running around the country for the last year promising $5 trillion in tax cuts that favor the wealthy. The fellow on stage last night said he didn’t know anything about that.” The president also accused Romney of misrepresenting past statements on education and outsourcing. In tough comments, the president said Romney “does not want to be held accountable … because he knows full well that we don’t want what he’s selling.” Obama panned Romney’s suggestion during the debate that one way to pare back federal spending is to cut the subsidy for PBS, which airs “Sesame Street.” Romney said he likes PBS and “I love Big Bird,” but said the country couldn’t afford to keep borrowing money from China to pay for things like that. “When he was asked what he’d actually do to cut the deficit and reduce spending, he said he’d eliminate funding for public television. That was his answer. I mean thank goodness somebody is finally getting tough on Big Bird. It’s about time,” Obama joked. “We didn’t know that Big Bird was driving the federal deficit. But that’s what we heard last night. How about that? Elmo, too?” LLS…Barack’s got jokes. Think POTUS learned his lesson with this fool and all of his shady azz personalities? We’re pretty sure that’s what threw him off last night and he’ll shut Robney down October 16th. Images via WENN

James Cameron Saves World From Honey Boo Boo On South Park

” James Cameron is who James Cameron is because James Cameron does what James Cameron does.”  At least I think that’s what James Cameron’s doppelganger said on Wednesday night’s new episode of South Park after diving into the depths to “raise the bar” and save the world from Honey Boo Boo and fat people who terrorize the world on motorized scooters. While President Obama debated Mitt Romney on the networks, Michelle Obama made a cameo appearance in a wonderfully meta episode of the Comedy Central series in which the Avatar , Titanic and Terminator director — who last spring dived to the bottom of the deepest place on earth, the Marianas Trench in the Pacific Ocean — took it upon himself to save the world from the cultural nadir established by Honey Boo Boo (whose consumption of “sketti and butter” and other craptastic food necessitates her being fitted with a pig’s heart in the episode). For those who listen to NPR and still read the New York Times , Honey Boo Boo is the nickname of ultra-zaftig child beauty pageant oddity Alana Thompson, who has her own show on TLC, which, believe it or not, stands for The Learning Channel. As South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone indicated in Wednesday night’s episode, Honey Boo Boo’s emergence in the culture has lowered the bar even farther than President Bill Clinton’s oral sexcapades with Monica Lewinsky. The good news is that after Cameron saves the dignity of our culture, he instructs the crew of Team Cameron to “Set a course for the set of Avatar 2!” Now that’s what we call N’avi-gation ! WATCH: Post-Debate Lincoln TV Spot Reminiscent Of Obama’s "I Am The President" DNC Speech

If President Obama didn’t exactly dominate Mitt Romney during their debate on Wednesday night, he got a nice subliminal boost courtesy of Steven Spielberg and Daniel Day-Lewis. Following the political wrestling match, Disney ran an extended TV spot for Lincoln that finally justified all of  the early Oscar talk the film has generated and  and not-so-subtly established Lincoln and Obama as kindred spirits. After a series of emotionally charged scenes that depict Lincoln, played by Day-Lewis, grappling with Civil War (depicted in Saving Private Ryan -style brutality) and the politically unpopular idea of abolishing slavery, the clip closes with the two-time Oscar winner declaring, “I am the President of the United States of America…clothed in immense power!” That rousing movie moment called to mind a slightly less riveting one: President Obama’s speech at the Democratic National Convention in early September in which he said, “Times have changed, and so have I. I’m no longer just a candidate. I’m the President.” The line got plenty of media pick-up and, as the New Yorker reported , evoked a scene from the Aaron Sorkin-scripted 1995 film The American President . In the movie, Michael Douglas, who plays besieged president Andrew Shepherd, addresses attacks from a political challenger by saying: “If you want to talk about character and American values, fine. Just tell me where and when, and I’ll show up. This is a time for serious people….My name is Andrew Shepherd, and I  am  the President. Sorkin’s line is cool, but the one delivered by Day-Lewis, which was written by Angels in America playwright Tony Kushner carries more force. And I much prefer the idea — purely of my own imagining — that Obama had advance intelligence about the highly anticipated  Lincoln  movie and script and was able to use it to his political advantage.  How’s that for a Left-wing Hollywood conspiracy theory?  Take a look at the spot below and tell me what you think. Update: Woman Sucker Punched By Officer During Parade Speaks About Anger And Insecurity Over Assault [Video]

We’re still shocked by this video… and now Aida Guzman is finally speaking out after the incident. We showed you the footage of Aida being brutally assaulted by a police officer for no reason at a Puerto Rican Day parade and now police say they will launch a full investigation into the actions of the 19-year veteran cop. According to the Daily News… Mother-of-three Aida Guzman, 39, from Philadelphia, has a swollen and cut lip as well as injuries to her hands and arm after the violent assault from Highway Patrol Lt Jonathan D. Josey II, 40. Speaking at her Chester home yesterday, she said she was angry at the officer’s actions and insists she had done nothing wrong and that she was merely a participant in the parade. Translating for her mother, her daughter Keysha, 19, said her mom was hit from behind and while she was on the ground the officer said: ‘That’s what you get’. She then told him,’It wasn’t me.’ She said: ‘That’s what happened. I didn’t do it. He has no right to put his hands on me. I’m 39, I don’t play games like that. ‘I feel angry, very angry. I go to someplace, got a good time and look this happen, for no reason.’ Lt Josey – a 19-year police veteran who moonlights as an actor and comedian, according to the Philadelphia Daily News-is seen in the video punching Ms Guzman violently in the back of the head after someone else in the crowd throws silly string or water at the officers. In 2006, he nominated himself to be a ‘Daily News Sexy Single’, where he listed his most outstanding feature as his ‘charm and magnetic personality’. In March 2010, Josey was cleared in the fatal shooting of an armed robber at a 7-Eleven and was later cited for bravery. He was stabbed in June 2010 when he was trying to break up a fight at a bar when he was off duty. An internal affairs investigation was launched on Monday and Josey was placed on desk duty pending the outcome of the investigation. Deputy Police Commissioner Richard Ross said of the incident: ‘We’d be remiss if we didn’t acknowledge that the video is disturbing. ‘Clearly, the one issue at hand is she does appear to be walking away. She does not appear to be facing Lt Josey at that time.’ The 39-year-old was then arrested and was issued a summary citation for disorderly conduct, on which police reported she had thrown beer at them. We hope this ‘man’ gets dropped by the PD and soon. With all of this isht caught on tape, it’d be hard to convince any of us that he wasn’t out of line! Images via facebook/youtube

For Your Information: Romney ‘Health Plan’ Would Leave 72 Mil Uninsured!

How much more can this dude openly admit his plans to take away our rights to health care? According to Politico… Mitt Romney’s health care plan wouldn’t just insure fewer people than “Obamacare” — it would make the uninsured problem worse than it would have been if the law had never passed, according to a comparison of the two plans by a research group with a history of pro-“Obamacare” studies. The analysis by the Commonwealth Fund, a New York-based health care research foundation, found that under Romney’s health care plan, the uninsured population would soar to 72 million by 2022 — 12 million higher than if nothing had been done at all. By contrast, if President Barack Obama’s health care law is fully implemented — including complete state participation in the now voluntary Medicaid expansion — the number of uninsured people would drop from 47.9 million in 2011 to about 27.1 million people in 2022, the report estimated. The number of insured Americans would rise in every age group under the Affordable Care Act and fall in every group under Romney’s plan, Sara Collins, vice president for Commonwealth’s affordable health insurance program, told reporters in a conference call Monday. The report says most of the difference is due to Romney’s plans for Medicaid, which he would turn into block grants, and the expansion of Medicaid that’s planned under the ACA. The gap between those two proposals accounts for about 80 percent of the difference in their impact on the uninsured, according to the analysis. The Romney campaign said the “flawed report” misstates Romney’s proposals and depicts “a fantasy world where Obamacare has been a success.” “Under ObamaCare, Americans have seen their insurance premiums increase, small businesses are facing massive tax increases, and seniors will have reduced access to Medicare services,” Ryan Williams, a Romney spokesman, wrote in an email to POLITICO. “The American people did not want this law, our country cannot afford this law, and when Mitt Romney becomes president he will repeal it and replace it with common-sense, patient-centered reforms that strengthen our health care system.” With all that’s at stake, we hope the extra 12 million people estimated to lose out on Robney’s health care “plan” doesn’t make it past his little soapbox he’s been preaching from. That’s Racist–‘Offensive’ Obama Pics Posted Up On Virginia GOP County Committee Facebook Page

SMH… some shady members of the Mecklenburg County, VA Republican Party aren’t apologizing for photos they posted on their Facebook page depicting President Barack Obama as a caveman and a “thug”. God Bless Freedom of Speech right?? According to The Washington Post: R. Wallace “Wally” Hudson, chairman of the Mecklenburg County Republican Committee, had vowed on Tuesday to ignore calls from the Republican Party of Virginia to take down doctored photos portraying Obama as a witch doctor, caveman and thug. He defended the images as harmless spoofs — and as a matter of free speech. State party Chairman Pat Mullins had strongly condemned the photos, saying that posting them on the unit’s Web site was “unacceptable behavior from any local unit associated with our party.” Wally’s defense… “We know our regular readers, who are good conservatives, they’re gonna get a kick out of it,” said Hudson, 55, a retired airline flight crew member who became chairman in May. “The rest of them, if they don’t want to see it, they don’t have to look at it. We don’t consider any of it racist. . . . I’m not ashamed of it. I mean, good God, you should have seen some of the images they did of George [W.] Bush. It’s freedom of speech…”If that group is that sensitive, I’m sorry, they’re just not human. It’s not American. If they’ve got a problem with it, we’re not going to change what we do.” As of today, the photos have been removed and the site was “temporarily unavailable”. We’re all for freedom of speech over here but this definitely had racist undertones. Do you think they should have been forced to remove the photos? Images via facebook

Watch Drunk State Prosecutor And Boyfriend Arrested For Biting Man’s Leg: Skulls Cracked And Screams Of “These Cuffs Are Too Tiiiight!” [Video]

This is ironic: A state prosecutor has been charged after biting a man’s leg during a drunken fracas at an adult store, authorities said. Sarah Naughton, an assistant state’s attorney for four years, was facing charges of misdemeanor battery and criminal trespass after the attack on Saturday night. Naughton and a male companion both appeared to be intoxicated, according to police, and were asked to leave shortly after they entered Taboo Tabou in Chicago. However, 31-year-old Naughton became belligerent and bit a manager. According to authorities, her friend, Bradley Gould, shoved the worker and made ‘menacing gestures’. The store owner took the manager to a nearby hospital for treatment and he was later released. Police arrived and placed the lawyer in handcuffs. She began wailing loudly that she couldn’t feel her hands because they were ‘too tight’. She rocked backwards and forwards on the curb, crying hysterically and at one point, called the arresting female police officer: ‘A f****** b**** w****.’ Her behavior was captured on video by a passer-by. After being taken away in a police van, Naughton was charged and released on bond. Taboo Tabou owner Mark Thomas told ABC: ‘My staff asked, ”Have you folks been drinking? Maybe you should come back when you’re sober.”’ Mr Thomas then said that Miss Naughton became enraged and started to tell them what she did for a living, pulling out a badge and adding: ‘You can’t do this to me…I’m a state’s attorney.’ Cook County spokesman Andy Conklin said Naughton had been placed on administrative leave during the investigation. It’s was not immediately known if Naughton and Gould had legal representation and the results of toxicology reports were unknown. Pure comedy… youtubeNewsPoliticsNow3
