Justin Timberlake ‘Cleveland Show’ Cameo To Air February 20

The singer-turned-actor, who celebrated his birthday Monday (January 31), recently hit the big screen as Boo Boo Bear in the CGI film adaptation of “Yogi Bear.” And in just a few weeks, fans will be able to catch JT voice a different kind of character in an upcoming episode of “The Cleveland Show,” airing February 20 at 9:30 p.m. on Fox. According to a press release, Timberlake’s guest-starring episode will be called “Terry Unmarried” and revolve around two big revelations in Cleveland’s personal life. Things take a turn when Cleveland discovers that his wife, Donna, never legally divorced her ex-husband, making their marriage illegitimate. Soon after, he finds out that his best friend, Terry, is gay and has been dating a man named Paul (voiced by Timberlake). With the recent developments, the foursome decides to travel to Vermont for a double wedding ceremony. The episode also will feature Theodore (T-Pain) and Bernard (will.i.am) explaining to Cleveland’s stepson Rallo why he should break a nasty habit. In October, Fox reps confirmed to MTV News that Timberlake will voice two characters : Paul, the boyfriend of Terry, and a “singing booger,” appropriately named Booger, who belongs to Rallo. Even though the episode has yet to air, the pop star has already earned himself a fan in “Cleveland” creator Rich Appel. Speaking with Us Weekly, the writer raved about the star’s voice appearance, gushing, “Justin is just hysterical!” Back in December, JT spoke about his decision to primarily focus on his long list of Hollywood projects . “They’re looking at me like, ‘Why aren’t you staying with one path?’ ” the star told the Los Angeles Times , referring to fans’ criticism to his shift in career avenues. “They look at me like I’m ungrateful for my music career because I want to do film.” Are you excited to see JT on “The Cleveland Show”? By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: Jeff Kravitz/ FilmMagic Sure, Lady Gaga’s infamous “meat dress” may have drawn the ire of PETA, but that hasn’t stopped the animal-rights organization from featuring her — along with fellow icons Pink and Mariah Carey — on a brand-new billboard, set to be unveiled Tuesday in Los Angeles. It’s part of PETA’s “Fur-Free and Fabulous” campaign, and, despite the fallout over her Video Music Awards outfit, Gaga was chosen because, as PETA puts it in a press release, “Her anti-fur stance … has been unwavering.” “Gaga’s out-there outfits never include real fur,” the statement continued. “Last year, when she wore a dress made of fluffy Kermit the Frog dolls, [she] explained, ‘I thought it was commentary on not wearing fur, ’cause I hate fur and don’t wear fur.’ ” PETA also selected Pink and Carey for the billboard — which will be raised on the corner of Sunset Boulevard and La Brea Avenue in Los Angeles — because of their longtime anti-fur stances. On Monday (January 24), McCoy announced the details of his Sgt. Schlepper’s Who Needs Hearts Club Band Tour (good name, BTW), a North American jaunt that kicks off March 17 in Toronto and crisscrosses the continent before wrapping up April 3 in Seattle. Joining him on the trek will be his good pal Pete Wentz — who will be taking his new Black Cards project out on the road for their first full-scale tour — rappers Donnis and XV, and hip-hop/funk collective Bad Rabbits. An exclusive pre-sale begins Tuesday, along with special VIP packages that include a ticket, a meet-and-greet with McCoy and, according to a press release from Atlantic Records, “a Travie piggy-bank (for all the future Billionaires).” For more information about pre-sales and VIPs, head over to the tour’s ticketing site or McCoy’s website . All remaining tickets will go on sale to the general public beginning Friday. In addition to his upcoming tour, McCoy is set to enter the studio with his group Gym Class Heroes to put the finishing touches on The Papercut Chronicles II, their first album since 2008’s The Quilt. PTC Demands Federal Investigation of MTV, Skins

MTV’s new sex-obsessed, drug-heavy show Skins is not popular with the PTC . But the Parents Television Council is doing more than firing off a press release this time. They’re calling for a federal investigation into child porn violations. The PTC wants the U.S. Department of Justice, the U.S. Senate and House Judiciary Committees to investigate Skins ‘ underage stars in graphic sex scenes. The group says besides sexual content involving stars as young as 15, there were 42 depictions and references to drugs and alcohol in the Skins premiere . “It is clear that Viacom has knowingly produced material that may well be in violation of [several anti-child pornography laws],” the PTC said in the letter. Aretha Franklin Says Halle Berry Is Her ‘Pick’ For Biopic

By Mawuse Ziegbe Halle Berry Photo: Theo Wargo/WireImage Aretha Franklin has been vocal about which leading lady she would like to portray her on the big screen, and it appears that the Queen of Soul got what she wanted. Last year, the legendary singer sent out a press release to The Associated Press stating she wanted Oscar-winning superstar Halle Berry to tackle the lead role in an upcoming biopic about the powerhouse songstress. During a recent phone interview on “The Wendy Williams Show,” Franklin said Berry is set to star in the project. “Halle Berry is my pick,” Franklin said to a swell of cheers from the daytime-TV audience. The soul veteran said Berry has been tapped to play an adult version of Franklin but added that the rest of the cast has not been firmed up. “There’s a young Aretha that has yet to be named.” A rep for Berry did not respond to MTV News’ request for comment at press time. Franklin — who is recovering from an undisclosed illness reported to be cancer — also said the film has been in the works for years but hinted that a flick could be in production soon now that all the necessary elements are coming together. “For the last four years, we’ve been talking about [the film], and I have had a number of offers. Unfortunately, they were not good offers,” she explained. “Now, we have something on the table. They have all of the financing on one project and the second project, and he’s in the process of writing things for me to approve on the tele-film.” In September, Franklin said that, in addition to Berry, she wanted Academy Award-winning actor Denzel Washington and Oscar nominee Terrence Howard to appear in the film. The “Respect” diva had apparently already been in touch with the stars, saying that the trio were “enthusiastic about the project and have agreed to take on these roles, subject to further negotiation.” The script will be based on her 1999 autobiography “Aretha: From These Roots.” How do you think Halle Berry would do in an Aretha Franklin biopic? Quentin Tarantino To Receive Special Critics’ Choice Movie Award

According to a press release , the award “was created to honor a single filmmaker who has not only inspired moviegoers with his cinematic storytelling, but has heightened the impact of film through the brilliant use of source and soundtrack music.” Maroon 5 , who will serve as the night’s house band, also will perform a musical tribute to the filmmaker as scenes from his iconic films play. “Throughout his career, [Tarantino] has truly harnessed the power of a single song and created unforgettable, heart-breaking, exhilarating and always dynamic moments that remain in the minds of his audience,” the release continues. Tarantino’s classic flicks include “Reservoir Dogs,” “Pulp Fiction,” “Kill Bill: Vol. 1 & 2” and “Inglourious Basterds.” As part of a campaign to promote this year’s Critics’ Choice Movie Awards, the guys from “Jackass” filmed parodies of “The Social Network” and some of the event’s other Best Picture nominees. “We’re spoofing four movies. We’ve never done anything like this before,” Johnny Knoxville explained. “So God knows how they’re going to turn out. Britney Spears’ ‘Hold It Against Me’: More Details Emerge

Well, according to a press release from her label, Jive Records, the song will hit radio and iTunes at midnight ET on Tuesday, days after a demo version of the club tune leaked online. The song will remain an iTunes exclusive purchase for a week, until January 18. “Hold It Against Me,” produced by Dr. Luke and Max Martin, is the lead single from Brit’s highly anticipated, yet-untitled March release . “Heard an early demo of my new single leaked. If u think that’s good, wait til you hear the real one Tuesday,” the pop star tweeted . “With her vocals on that, it’s going to be an undeniable, surefire hit,” Perez Hilton told MTV News about the demo, which features vocals from songwriter Bonnie McKee. “I loved it. My own critique is that the demo sounds a little too much like Ke$ha. I hope that the finished song feels like a Britney song. Besides that, it’s still to me a hit song.” Luke admitted that the track that has everyone talking already will really have fans hyped once the final version drops. “That version of hold it against me is really really old,” he shared. “It don’t sound like that anymore… it’s WAY better.” The “Hold It Against Me” leak is the latest in a long history of leaked Britney songs . In the past, other Spears lead singles like “Womanizer” (off 2008’s Circus ) and “Gimme More” (off 2007’s Blackout ) also hit the Net early, only gaining the singer more buzz for those releases.
