Star Wars The Force Awakens: NEW FOOTAGE!

We don't want to get overly excited. We want to remain calm and keep perspective and not prove that this Honest Trailer has us pegged perfectly, but… well.. we can't help it: NEW FOOTAGE FROM STAR WARS: THE FORCE AWAKENS IS HERE!!!!!!! That feels worthy of all capital letters, don't you think? This Japanese preview begins in the same way as a previous Star Wars: The Force Awakens trailer , with Daisy Ridley’s Rey on the plant of Jakku. Unlike earlier sneak peeks at the film, however, the focus in this case is on Rey’s companionship with the droid BB-8, who we see and here doing plenty of endearing R2D2-esque beeping and chirping. My, how we've missed those sounds. Via narration, we then hear the pirate Maz Kanata (played by the amazing Lupita Nyong’o, who we’re yet to see in any trailer) asking Rey questions about her identity, one of which prompts a fascinating response: “I know all about waiting. For my family.” Hmmm… sounds a bit like Rey – long speculated by fans to be the daughter of Luke Skywalker or Princess Leia – was abandoned on Jakku for some reason. But what's the reason? Who is she, exactly? Oh, and is it December 18 yet?!? Check out the new preview to also see John Boyega’s controversial Stormtrooper Finn watching the horizon as TIE fighters come in, seemingly intent on destroying Rey's home planet. But enough from us, right? Watch the trailer now and begin to formulate your own theories.

Carrie Fisher Back as Princess Leia in Star Wars: The Force Awakens

It’s been 32 years since Carrie Fisher #blessed us with her out-of-this-world body in Star Wars: Return of the Jedi , but this beautiful brunette is back in Star Wars Episode VII: The Force Awakens , which lands in theaters this December. She awakened more than the force during the last episode, and this time around, Carrie is bringing along a few new surprises. Many trilogies, there are Episode VII begins the sequel trilogy to the Star Wars series, beginning 30 years after the last events in Return of the Jedi . In case you haven’t been binge-watching the movies throughout the last three decades, here’s a brief recap of what happened last: The evil emperor is finally taken down, thanks to Vader, who dies and is cremated by Luke. Princess Leia and Han Solo were in lurrrrvvv , and everything is right in the universe. This also happened: There’s already a teaser for the trailer for the next installment, but the trailer itself won’t come out until Monday, October 19, during Monday Night Football. Word on the street is that pre-sale tickets will be available at this time as well, but there hasn’t been an official confirmation yet. Might we suggest setting a Google alert? Besides Carrie Fisher, Harrison Ford and Mark Hamill will also be back in their original roles. There’s a surprise among new cast members though, and if you’ve kept up with any of the shows on Fox this fall, you probably know who she is. Like mother, like daughter Leave it to Carrie Fisher, the daughter of actress Debbie Reynolds, to continue the familial fame tradition. Her daughter, blossoming 23 year-old actress Billie Lourd, is making her big-screen debut in The Force Awakens . Billie is keeping her role in the film a secret, but she has revealed this much: She will not be playing Princess Leia’s daughter. Bummer. Billie recently made her small screen debut as well, starring in Ryan Murphy’s hilarious horror Scream Queens as Chanel #3. And yes, Billie’s character wears earmuffs in Scream Queens as a tribute to her mother’s iconic Princess Leia buns. Go figure. We haven’t seen any skin from Carrie Jr. yet, but one thing is for sure: Her career is just taking off. Patience, young padawan.

Olivia Munn Needs To Show More Skin

I know I’ve been ragging on Olivia Munn for dressing too classy lately now that she’s become an “actress,” but I think she misunderstood me. See, I meant she should go back to wearing those dumb, sexy nerd costumes again, like a half-naked Princess Leia or Wonder Woman or some crap like that. I don’t really care which as long as it involves Olivia and a whole lot of skin. And I’m sure you nerds will agree. Photos: PacificCoastNews

Cooper On De Niro In ‘Silver Linings Playbook’: Calling Him Dad Came ‘From A Real Place’

Bradley Cooper  says it wasn’t a stretch to call Robert De Niro “Dad” in Silver Linings Playbook . The Hangover actor plays Pat Solitano, the bipolar son of De Niro’s extremely OCD Pat Solitano, Sr. in the film, and at the New York premiere party ,  Cooper told us that his prior working relationship with De Niro on Limitless , which blossomed into a friendship, made it easy to channel that familial bond with the Taxi Driver actor.  At a press conference for the movie earlier that day,  Cooper, who lost his actual father in 2011,  told the gathered media that he had trepidations about playing the role of a Philadelphia area man struggling with bipolar disorder. “He really did champion me” to get the part, Cooper said of De Niro, adding that he decided to take the role, in part, because, “I knew that I could say ‘Dad’ and look at him and it would come from a real place.” During the party at the Royalton hotel in midtown Manhattan, I asked Cooper to elaborate upon that comment, and he replied that because of his work with De Niro on their last movie,  “We sort of became great friends,” adding: “I love him.”  That relationship, he explained, became “a real bonus” when it came to the onscreen dynamic of the two actors in Silver Linings Playbook .  With any movie role, Cooper explained, “You need certain anchors, and when I would say say the word ‘Dad’ to him, it just felt very deep and grounded.” In the David O. Russell -directed movie, De Niro gives his most authentic performance as a father since he directed himself in the 1993 picture A Bronx Tale .  He even weeps in the movie — an unscripted moment that was caught on the last take of a highly charged scene shot in the attic of the Solitano family home.  Russell, who, during the press conference, repeatedly referred to the veteran actor as “Mr. De Niro,” said the emotional moment caught him completely off-guard. “I was behind him in the attic going, ‘What’s happening?'” the director recalled. Russell’s son, Matthew, who plays a nosy teen-aged neighbor with a video camera, struggled with a different emotion while shooting a confrontational scene with De Niro: nervous laughter. The director recalled at the press conference that his son said to him that acting opposite De Niro ” was like waking up in Raging Bull . ”  Russell said that he chided his son for the inappropriate outburst, telling him,  “You’ve got to stop laughing.”  But De Niro, he added, figured out a way to work with Matthew’s anxious laughter to ratchet up tension in the scene. Friends Fans Out Of Luck With Movie Reunion

Definitely not taking a cue from Sex and the City , fans of long-time NBC sitcom will have to settle for re-runs, a new Blu-ray and their imaginations about what happened next to Rachel, Monica, Chandler, Phoebe and Ross. Some fans of the decade-long running show had clamored for a reunion, but Friends ‘ co-executive producer/director Kevin S. Bright said that another round is not in the works. “There is absolutely, 100 percent no talk about a reunion … there will be no ‘Friends’ movie,” Bright told TV Guide “It was made to be an intimate show in your living room. It wasn’t a broader show like many of the comedies today that are shot single-camera. It’s wonderful the way it is.” Running from 1994 – 2004, the popular show helped launch Jennifer Aniston (Rachel), Courtney Cox (Monica), Matthew Perry (Chandler), Matt LeBlanc (Joey) Lisa Kudrow (Phoebe) and David Schwimmer (Ross) who have also moved on to the big and small screens. “I don’t want to see old Joey,” LeBlanc told EW. “Everyone’s going to have different vision of what those characters are like, so to have that materialize is going to disappoint most people. A couple of people will go, ‘That’s what I thought!’ but for the most part it’s going to let people down. It’s better to let them just think.” But while a movie or some kind of reunion won’t spell out what happened to the Friends friends – though who can really ever say never as long as people are alive? – Bright did offer up what he imagines may have been the fates of some of the characters. “I’m hoping that Ross and Rachel, and Monica and Chandler, and Phoebe and Mike are still married and living happily ever after,” he said. “Monica and Chandler would be living in Westchester with three kids — twins via surrogate and one on their own – and Chandler would be the owner of his own number-crunching business…a WENUS organization, if you will. Rachel and Ross had another baby, a sibling for Emma; Joey’s a star after getting his big break; and Phoebe opened a chain of holistic spas across the country.” Friends: The Complete Series Blu-ray comes out Tuesday featuring all 236 episodes for the first time completely remastered. Ho-Leia Mo-Leia! Is AnnaLynne McCord Secretly Auditioning For ‘Star Wars Episode VII’?

The desire to dress up in skimpy sci-fi costumes is strong in AnnaLynne McCord.   The Insider.com posted a curious photo gallery of the 90210 actress in a number of odd get-ups from the show, including a shot from next week’s episode in which she dresses up in a replica of the famous metallic bikini that Carrie Fisher wore in Return of the Jedi .  According to the site, McCord, who plays Naomi,  dons the costume for a trip to a comic convention where her nerd husband Max is selling a video game. It’s good timing for McCord and the producers given that fanboys and girls and the media are all atwitter over Disney’s plans to bring Star Wars Episode VII to the big screen in 2015. Who knows, if the right person is watching, McCord could land a walk-on as a Twi’lek Jedi or  some other role that calls for a barely-there costume and a toothy smile. Apparently, it’s not the first time that McCord has channeled her inner geek.  In another gallery photo, she appears to be dressed as an Avatar Na’vi, sporting blue skin and a tale and a similarly hued cut-out dress. Harrison Ford Might Return As Han Solo − And Die Happy

Yes, Mara Jade, it’s possible for Harrison Ford to be “open to the idea” of reprising his role as Han Solo in Disney’s  Star Wars Episode VII  and still hate the character, as Movieline noted back in 2010 . The key here is that the actor may finally get the opportunity to kill off the character that has bedeviled him throughout his auspicious career, which is something he wanted back in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.   A “highly placed source” told EW.com  that  “Harrison is open to the idea of doing the movie and he’s upbeat about it,” but the story also notes, “don’t be surprised if his contract includes a mandatory death scene for the sly old space smuggler.” Now, there’s a reason to be upbeat!  Ford gets to chew some scenery in a death scene and   cut his ties — symbolically, psychically, joyously — to the role he can’t seem to shake, or love. Even though, two of the video clips seemed to have suddenly been pulled from Movieline’s 2010 post,  Ford’s not-so-fond feelings for the space cowboy character that made him a box-office boss have  been pretty apparent over the years. As EW also reported, Ford said in a 2010 ABC interview that Han Solo “was not so interesting to me” and that  “I thought he should have died in [Episode VI] to give it some bottom.” I also would have much preferred a Solo death scene instead of watching Ewoks dance. So, I hope Ford gets his wish. Then, the next time a talk-show host asks him about his iconic role, he can finally say:  “Han Solo — he’s dead.” Related Stories: Harrison Ford’s Long History of Hating Star Wars Luke Skywalker & Princess Leia Knew Of More Star Wars Stories; Surprised By LucasFilm Sale Disney Buying LucasFilm For $4.05 Billion, Promises New Star Wars in 2015 (UPDATED) Follow Frank DiGiacomo on Twitter. Olivia Munn Classes Up The Cleavage

I thought that Olivia Munn was clear on the fact that I don’t really like when she gets all dressed up, it just doesn’t seem to suit her, she’s the kind of woman you want to see in some short shorts and a tank top washing a car. Or in a nerdy sexy Princess Leia costume washing a car or a catwoman body suit washing a car or a bikini washing a car…. Pretty much anything that gets her wet and all soaped up is what I’m saying. Next time. I will also accepted soaking herself with a garden hose.
