Roseanne: The Classic Sitcom is Finally Getting a Revival!!!

It’s been a good few years for TV revivals, huh? Netflix has brought back shows like Arrested Development and Full House, as well as the limited run of Gilmore Girls, and various television networks are reviving The X-Files , Twin Peaks, and Will & Grace. Considering all that, it’s easy to look back at some of the best TV shows of yesteryear and think about which ones deserve another shot, you know? And few shows could use another go-round as much as Roseanne. Roseanne, the blue collar sitcom created by legendary comedian Roseanne Barr, ran for nine seasons, from 1988 to 1997. It was full of great moments, great actors … all in all, it really was a wonderful show. And that’s why, joy of all joys, a revival is in the works ! The new series will last for eight episodes, with Roseanne and Sara Gilbert, who played Roseanne’s daughter Darlene, signed on as executive producers. Roseanne, Sara, and John Goodman are the only actors signed onto the project so far, with other stars like Laurie Metcalf and Johnny Galecki still in negotiations. Right now there’s no official deal, but networks like ABC and Netflix are bidding on the rights to the revival. It’s all so exciting, right? And honestly, it’s a little confusing, too. For one, John Goodman is returning, but — spoiler alert — his character died in the series finale. Or, well, actually he died in the season 8 finale, but in the series finale Roseanne revealed that the entire final season had been a figment of her imagination, which went into overdrive as she mourned the loss of her husband. She also explained that several elements of the series weren’t actually true: her sister, Jackie, was a lesbian, and her daughters had really ended up with each other’s spouses. See what we mean about it being confusing? To add another element of confusion, in a 2009 blog post, Roseanne gave an update on where she felt the characters would be today. In the post, she said that the Roseanne character, along with Jackie, opened up Landford, Illinois’ first medical marijuana dispensary, saving the house from foreclosure (remember, they never won the lottery). She wrote that “David leaves Darlene for a woman half his age,” then “Darlene meets a woman and they have a test tube baby,” which doesn’t take into account that in the finale she said that David actually ended up with Becky. (And also David would never .) Becky “works at Walmart,” and Mark “dies in Iraq,” which is especially tragic since the actor that played Mark, Glenn Quinn, died from a heroin overdose in 2002. DJ “gets published,” and Dan, who supposedly died of a heart attack at Darlene’s wedding? He “shows up alive after faking his death.” It would be bizarre if the revival followed this storyline, but Roseanne is the show’s creator, and it would explain how John Goodman is signed on to return. But really, whatever happens, we’re definitely looking forward to a return of Roseanne. Especially if it somehow eases the pain and confusion of that last season. The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 Episode 12 Recap: Feeding a Need

Did Lisa Rinna get her revenge on Eden Sassoon? That was addressed on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 Episode 12 when she realized that Eden had been talking smack about her.  When the episode got underway, Kim and Kyle Richards were out shopping for gifts for Kim’s daughter, who was due to give birth to her first child.  Watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills Season 7 Episode 12 Online Kim revealed that she thought Eden acted pretty crazily about the whole thing and that she would struggle to trust her going forward because of it.  Kim did say that Rinna had been nice to her, but Kyle burst that bubble when she dropped the bomb that Rinna had been part of it all along.  Kyle noted that both women were on thin ice and should get themselves together before commenting on other people’s lives.  While all of that was going down, Rinna met up with Eden to confront her about all the stuff she was saying behind her back.  “I cannot remember having a conversation saying things about Kim,” Rinna revealed to her new nemesis before adding, “I’m not happy.” If you watch The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills online , you will already know that Lisa Rinna did say all of the things.  Lisa was mostly upset about being ambushed in Mexico and being made to feel silly in front of everyone. Eden was not pulling any punches when she said she only recounted the truth.  View Slideshow: Real Housewives All Stars: Who Should Be Cast? Lisa continued to claim she did not remember saying it, but she did.  After the meeting with Lisa, Eden went to Dorit’s house to recap the whole conversation. That’s when the two women touched on the idea of Rinna having a pill problem.  Later, Dorit told Kyle that Eden was still sticking to her story, but Kyle was still not a fan of the heiress.  While the ladies were continuing to bicker, Erika escaped to have a lunch date with her husband. They got talking about her latest music video.  Erika revealed that some don’t understand her marriage, but it worked for them, and that was all that mattered. They never really get to see each other.  While all of this was going down, Kyle was on the set of her scripted drama about her childhood. She dropped the bomb that Kim and Kathy were not impressed with the project.  However, she was concerned at just how much work a producer had to put into a series, and it made her question whether she was cut out for it.  Finally, Lisa Rinna got a humanitarian award for her work with Project Angelfood. The ladies were in disbelief at the validity of the award, but it did not stop them preparing a meal.  Lisa Vanderpump did not show up because she was too busy finding new clothes for her dogs. Kidding aside, we don’t know why she was not there.  Eden started talking about her new relationship, but Kyle was quick to chime in and say it was a disaster.  Is a new feud on the horizon? Celebrity Apprentice Recap: Who Made It To The Finale?

Changes were afoot on the latest episode of Celebrity Apprentice.  That change came in the form of Boy George being moved over to Team Prima. As you probably already know, Prima has struggled over the course of the season.  They have had a lot of failed competitions, resulting in the team pretty much being annihilated earlier in the season.  The main task was for the groups to demonstrate The Honest Company products with the aim or attracting some new customers.  Boy George was revealed to be the project manager for Team Prima. The team decided to go with the hand sanitizer, stain remover and glass cleaning products.  Brooke made it clear that if Boy should sing during the challenge because it would set them apart from the other team. However, he wanted to do something considerably different.  This worried Brooke because she felt like singing would definitely put them above the competition. Boy felt like Brooke was taking things way too seriously and that she needed to back off.  Brooke then took it one step further by telling Patrick that she was the one who organized the whole process. This rubbed Boy the wrong way because he felt like she was trying to throw him under the bus.  On Team Arete, Laila was the project manager. She thought she had an advantage because she actually used the projects she was trying to add value to. They chose to pitch the multi-surface cleaner, organic healing balm and dish soap.  The team opted to take on a more personal story as Laila was not exactly the most creative person in the process. View Slideshow: Reality TV Star Salaries: Who Makes the Most? Matt worried about Laila’s lack of creativity and voiced his concerns.  Laila kept going off the script which did nothing to help matters.  Team Prima’s presentation was all over the place and you could tell the other team was shocked by the way Boy George was talking about Buddhism.  Jessica revealed that while she liked Team Arete’s showcase, their presentation seemed like more of an infomercial and was not entirely what the client was looking for.  Unsurprisingly, Team Prima took the win and Boy George was handed $50,000 for his favorite charity.  Laila was quick to point the finger at Matt for the loss. She felt Matt undermined her every step of the way and if he had a little faith in her ideas, it could have been a better result.  However, Matt made a solid case for him to stay in the competition. This was his first time being in the bottom, so Arnold decided that Laila’s time was up and sent her packing.  View Slideshow: 27 Reality Stars Who Should Never Be On TV Again Arnie then decided there would be one more elimination and Brooke was sent home because Boy and Matt had more wins over her.  The final challenge found Matt and Boy getting ready to showcase the Carnival cruise experience by creating an ad campaign, hosting a party and producing a 15-minute show.  Matt was told he would have Carnie Wilson, Carrie Keagan and Kyle Richards to help him out, while Boy got to work with Laila, Carson Kressley and Porsha Williams.  The heat was on, but which one of them won? Find out next week on the season/series finale of Celebrity Apprentice.  View Slideshow: Celebrity Apprentice Cast: REVEALED!
