Still in rehab at Cliffside Malibu, LiLo was allowed to go online this week as a 27th birthday present, and responded to a fan who had tweeted her this message: “@lindsaylohan can you tweet me I watched I know who killed me twice last night.” Lohan obliged with a Tweet, but quipped “two times too many!” At least she’s self-aware. When I saw these pictures of Selena Gomez walking around Disneyland with her two girlfriends and some little boys from a teen boy band, I start wondering if she’s really 20 years old and if looking at these pictures of her will get me in trouble. I guess having your youth stunted by being a child actress can really damage a young person’s development. The good news, I was only a few grades shy of receiving my degree in psychology, so if Selena would like to have a sit down and discuss her issues, I’d be more than willing to listen, free of charge. Why did they have to murder and torture them? So cruel. Marines Sentenced To Death For Killing Marine And His Wife According to NBC San Diego Three former Marines found guilty by jurors of torturing and killing a fellow Marine and his wife in a 2008 execution-style slaying in Southern California were sentenced Thursday. Former Lance Cpl. Emrys John, 23, and former Lance Cpl. Tyron Miller, 25, were each sentenced to the death penalty. Former private Kevin Cox, 25, was sentenced to life without the possibility of parole. Their sentences were read at the Hall of Justice in Riverside, Calif. The sentences are linked to the murders of newlyweds Marine Sgt. Jan Pietrzak and his wife Quiana Jenkins-Pietrzak. The couple was found gagged, tied and shot in the head in their Riverside County home in October 2008. Sgt. Pietrzak, a helicopter airframe mechanic at MCAS Miramar near San Diego, was found bloody and beaten. His wife’s body was discovered naked. Officials say she had been sexually assaulted. On June 5, two separate juries convicted Cox, John and Miller of murder. John was convicted of pulling the trigger. Miller was found guilty of murder and sexually assaulting Quiana Jenkins-Pietrzak. A fourth suspect, former Lance Cpl. Kesaun Sykes of Fallbrook, had his case severed and is awaiting trial. Sykes was known as “Psycho” by fellow Marines. He’s set to be tried sometime later this summer. Earlier this month, prosecutors said robbery was the motive for the crime. Jewelry, including the couple’s wedding rings, and Pietrzak’s dress uniform were found at the suspects’ homes, authorities said. Racial slurs were spray-painted in the house, and fires had been set in an apparent attempt to destroy evidence. All three men worked with Sgt. Pietrzak at one time while stationed at Camp Pendleton. “He was not the actual killer, he was not in my opinion a major participant obviously the jury disagreed with that assessment,” Cox’s attorney Ryan Markson said on June 5. At that time, Markson hoped jurors would consider Cox’s rank at the time of the murders when deliberating his punishment. “Because it was three armed Marines, two of whom outranked him and telling him we need to knock on these people’s door,” he said earlier this month. Pietrzak, 24, who was born in Poland and raised in Brooklyn, N.Y., joined the Marines in 2003 and served in Iraq from July 2005 to February 2006. Relatives of the victims said Quiana, 26, was from San Bernardino and a 2005 graduate of San Diego State University. The couple met in San Diego through a mutual friend who also attended SDSU. Jenkins-Pietrzak was studying to become a doctor. Pietrzak served in Iraq and returned to San Diego in 2006. Attorneys for all three defendants have already asked for a new trial. Gay Therapy Ministry Designed To Cure Same-Sex Attraction Shuts Down A Christian ministry program that was put in place for the purpose of curing gay people of their sexual orientation has finally decided to close its’ door after 37 years in practice. via NBC News Former participants in a controversial program aimed at ridding people of their h*m*se*uality congratulated its leader for deciding to shut down its ministry, but other groups said there was a role for the “reparative therapy” used in the “ex-gay movement.” The Christian ministry, Exodus International, was founded in 1976 and claims more than 200 branches, churches and counselors in the United States and Canada. It insisted that people could overcome same-sex attraction through prayer and therapy. But mainstream psychiatric and medical groups have said that program, also known as “reparative therapy,” is not founded in science and can be harmful. The American Psychiatric Association said 15 years ago that it could cause depression, anxiety and self-depressive behavior in patients. In a statement, Exodus International, which describes itself as the oldest and largest group of its kind, said that its board of directors had decided to close down after a year of talking and praying about its place in a changing culture. This one with the regrettable tattoo and hint of sideboob is Carly Chaikin , apparently she’s on Suburgatory , and her tattoo is lyrics from a Bob Dylan song. Trust me, it’s better as a song than as a tattoo. But still, I think Carly’s hot in a psycho way. The irony of hosting a self help show and then offing yourselves. SMH. Couple Who Hosted Self Help Show Commits Suicide According to The NY Post They were the ones who needed help. A Brooklyn couple famous for hosting a self-help radio show committed suicide by suffocating themselves with plastic bags in Park Slope, police sources and witnesses said. Psychotherapist Lynne Rosen, 46, and her motivational speaker husband John Littig, 48 — who appeared on WBAI-FM’s “The Pursuit of Happiness” — were found dead in the living room of their President Street and Eighth Avenue apartment, sources said. On the monthly show, the couple offered callers advice on how to live a happier life, sometimes tossing in inspirational quotes from Albert Einstein and Eleanor Roosevelt. Neighbors living on the couple’s quiet brownstone-lined street called news of the double suicide sad — and painfully ironic. “Everyone is shocked… Everyone is wondering why,” said one neighbor. “That’s really distressing that they were life coaches, handing out advice to people,” she added. Another neighbor noted the couple, who had been together 20 years, was very private. “John was a very nice person. Lynne kept to herself… She was always putting on a lot of weight and taking it off,” the neighbor said. Littig was also a drummer who used the performance name “Jadex.” The pair was sometimes spotted on the tree-lined street walking their dog. At one point, on the radio show, Rosen encouraged her fans to fight depression with a positive attitude. “Push yourself when there’s nothing left to go on,” she said.”Remember, positivity is precious.” The couple was found dead on Monday morning. A couple grisly details have come out regarding Paris Jackson’s suicide attempt this morning. As previously reported, the 15-year old daughter of Michael was rushed to the hospital around 2 a.m. following a 911 call that TMZ confirms was made as a result of Paris dialing the suicide hotline. The operator was reportedly so shaken by the conversation that she called the authorities. When they arrived, EMTs found a suicide note at the scene and also saw that Paris used a meat cleaver on her arm. She had also taken a significant number of Motrin pills. Paris received “numerous stitches” for the wound and was then placed under a 5150 psychiatric hold for 72 hours. In a statement, Jackie, Marlon and Tito Jackson have said: “Thank you for the outpouring of concern and support for Paris. She is safe and doing fine. We truly appreciate you respecting our family privacy at this time.”
Amanda Bynes was arrested Thursday night in New York City, to the shock of no one. Police were called to her Midtown Manhattan apartment building on suspicion of disorderly conduct. When officers arrived at the scene, they witnessed Bynes throw a bong out of her 36th floor window. Bynes was taken to Roosevelt Hospital for a psychiatric evaluation, before getting booked at a Midtown police station. She’s been charged with reckless endangerment, marijuana possession, and felony tampering with evidence. The troubled starlet has been exhibiting bizarre behavior for the past few months and is already serving three years probation for driving with a suspended license.Bynes is also still facing a DUI charge from April 2012.
