First, Anderson Cooper . Then, Frank Ocean . Now… Megan Rapinoe. In the latest issue of Out , the U.S. soccer star says she’s never hidden her sexuality, but she’s never made it official, either. Until now. Simply put, Rapinoe tells the publication : “For the record: I am gay.” A midfielder for the Seattle Sounders Women, Rapinoe is preparing for the Summer Olympics in London and makes it clear she understands her responsibility now as a role model. “I feel like sports in general are still homophobic, in the sense that not a lot of people are out. I feel everyone is really craving [for] people to come out. People want – they need – to see that there are people like me playing soccer for the good ol’ U.S. of A.” Rapinoe has been dating an Australian soccer player for about three years.

Big Brother and Scientology are watching Via TMZ reports : Katie Holmes believes Scientology now views her as a threat to the organization and has put a team on her tail … sources close to the actress tell TMZ. We’re told Katie believes in recent weeks — as the discord between her and Tom Cruise grew — Scientology has been following her moves, especially in New York City. This does not appear to be the mind of a paranoid person. People who have photographed Katie multiple times tell TMZ there have been several “mysterious” men and vehicles around Katie’s apartment and following her when she’s out. Specifically … a white Cadillac Escalade and black Mercedes SUV (see above) have been seen near Katie’s NYC apartment for the past week. FYI — there is a publication that has put a tail on Katie, but the people doing that are separate from the people Katie believes have been dispatched from Scientology. It is unclear if the two vehicles that have been constantly spotted near Holmes’ pad are from Scientology or from the publication. If Katie is able to keep the divorce in New York — where courts generally like to award sole legal custody to one parent or the other when there is conflict — proof that she’s being tailed could help her case. We put in a call to Scientology … so far, no word back. Poor Katie, Xenu doesn’t want her to escape.
She’s been number-one on the Billboard music chart , so it’s only nature that Carly Rae Jepsen would now be featured on the cover of Billboard magazine. In the publication’s latest issue, the wildly successful singer – she sings “Call Me Maybe,” perhaps you’ve of it? – opens up about her recent professional journey – from struggling artist… to Justin Bieber record label signee… to top of the music world in a matter of months – and expresses nothing but shock. “Pretty much every day, there’s a moment where I’m having to pinch myself and think, ‘When did this happen to my life?’” Carly says. But it doesn’t sound like Jepsen has let her tidal wave of fame and fortune go to her head. She adds that she still appreciates the nuances of song writing. “What I really love about [music] is that, despite all this craziness the creative process remains the same. No, it’s not Ryan Seacrest Songstress, Frenchie Davis has come out the closet. The “ American Idol ” and “Voice” alum has revealed to the St. Louis Post-Dispatch that she’s been dating a woman for the past year, though she offers no other details on the relationship. “I wasn’t out before the relationship, but I wasn’t in,” she told the publication. “I dated men and women, though lesbians weren’t feeling the bisexual thing. Now I’m in love with a woman I think I can be with forever.” The singer, who performed in Broadway’s “Rent” and toured with a production of “Dreamgirls,” also professes her love of gay men in the interview. “I love the gays,” she says. “I love the gay boys. They have that awesome, masculine energy, but there’s also something else going on as well.” It’s shaping up to be a banner year for Davis, who performs this weekend at the Chicago Pride Fest and is also working a new album, which she described as dance-oriented. “I love coming to Chicago for Pride,” Davis told GoPride, noting that she plans to perform her new single during her concert there. “I’m so excited!” Good for her! Gary Giordano, the suspect in travel companion Robyn Gardner’s disappearance in August, is suing to collect on an insurance policy he took out on her. Giordano, 51, filled the lawsuit last week against American Express for $3.5 million for failing to pay him the death benefit he says he is entitled to. Gardner presumably died after her August 2 disappearance but has not been found. Giordano says the accidental death policy was part of regular travel insurance that not only gave him coverage, but covered his traveling partner as well. Robyn Gardner’s policy is worth $1.5 million. “When somebody takes out a policy and there is no body, they are required to wait 365 days before making a claim,” American Express told ABC News. That means Giordano won’t be eligible to collect until August 2012. Giordano tried to collect on the policy two days after he notified authorities about Gardner’s disappearance , for which he was detained for months in Aruba . “My lawyer at the time, Michael Lopez, said you need to call insurance immediately,” Giordano said, claiming he was just following the standard protocol. “I’ve purchased it [travel insurance] many times before. I have children. If I go traveling and I disappear, I want them to be covered, OK?” An American Express employee who spoke to Giordano, however, later told police: “[Giordano] sounded excited, like he was about to win something.” Richard Forester, Gardner’s boyfriend at the time of her disappearance, says the new lawsuit only makes him more suspicious of Gary Giordano. On an unrelated note, he was arrested for indecent exposure last month.

God revealed my heart to him like nobody else.” Approximately 400 guests attended the ceremony, which featured the star a custom R-Mine gown with a purple train.
