Jesus take the wheel… Mother And Infant Child Bleed To Death On Roadside As Drivers Pass By A wife and mother of two young children has sadly lost her life along with her infant son after they were struck by a truck while riding on a family motorcycle inside of a highway tunnel in Jaipur, India. via  Hindustan Times In a shocking case of public apathy, a man lay on the road crying for help inside a tunnel next to the bodies of his wife and infant daughter with nobody stopping by for around 40 minutes after a speeding truck hit his motorcycle. The 26-year-old woman and the eight-month-old infant who were run over by the truck died inside the newly opened Ghat Ki Guni tunnel in Jaipur on Sunday while the man and his son escaped with minor injuries. Police said the injured husband kept crying for help for around 40 minutes but the motorists ignored their cries and every vehicle passed by without stopping delaying prompt medical treatment. CCTV footages showed that the woman’s husband and his four-year-old son beseeched passers-by for help for almost 10 minutes. However, no one stopped to help them, police said. The accident victims were attended to only when a staffer of a toll booth noticed the crying husband and his son inside the tunnel on a CCTV monitor. “Kanhaiya Lal along with his 26-year old wife Guddi, four-year- old son Tanish and eight-month-old Arushi was on his way to in-laws’ house in Luniawas village from their house in Thikariya village yesterday when a speeding truck hit their motorcycle 300 metres inside the tunnel,” police said on Monday. Apparently, it’s common for a family of four to travel on a two-wheeler in this country, although travel through this particular tunnel is banned. Our thoughts and prayers go out to this family.

Krystle Campbell: Boston Bombing Victim Identified, Mourned

A second victim in Monday’s tragic Boston Marathon bombings has been identified: Krystle Campbell, a 29-year-old originally from Medford, Mass. Her father, William A. Campbell Jr., told Yahoo News: “My daughter was the most lovable girl. She helped everybody, and I’m just so shocked right now. We’re just devastated. She was a wonderful, wonderful girl.” “Always willing to lend a hand.” Krystle Campbell was at the finish line with a friend, Karen Rand, to cheer on her boyfriend, who was running the race at the time the bombs went off. Karen Rand survived, but was in surgery for her serious injuries. Krystle was then declared missing, and the family found out on Tuesday she was among the dead. More than 170 people were wounded in the attack. Campbell attended the University of Massachusetts-Boston and Medford High School. The other identified victim is 8-year-old Martin Richard,  below: Our thoughts and prayers go out to the victims’ families.

Somebody has got some ‘splainin’ to do… Via NYDailyNews 2nd Victim In Boston Marathon Blast Misidentified As Survivor Friend A heartbroken dad whose daughter was killed in the Boston Marathon bombings had to endure a second shockwave of terror: doctors initially confused his daughter’s identity with a friend who survived. “We had the doctors come out and tell us everything they did (on the survivor) — and it wasn’t our daughter,” said William Campbell Jr. 56. The tragic turn of events began Monday when Krystle Campbell, 29, of Medford, Mass. was watching the marathon with the friend, Karen Rand, to cheer on Rand’s boyfriend. The pair were caught in the first blast at 2:20 p.m., and for hours, William Campbell and his wife believed doctors were operating on their daughter’s leg at Massachusetts General Hospital. Frantic tweets indicate that for hours after the blasts people believed it was Karen who was missing. The Campbells, however, believed their daughter was alive. So when nurses let the Campbells into an intensive care room at around 2 a.m. to visit their “daughter,” the family was stunned to see the recuperating patient was, in fact, Karen. Oopsie-daisy… “I said, ‘That’s not my daughter, that’s Karen! Where’s my daughter?’ The doctors were as shocked as we were,” Campbell said. Within an hour a Boston detective arrived and showed them a photo of their daughter — one of three killed in the terror attack. “I almost passed out on the floor, Campbell recalled Tuesday, moments before leaving for a viewing of his daughter’s body. The devastated dad said Krystle, a manager at Jimmy’s Steer House, was “a dream.” “She was the best person you’d ever meet. She helped everybody,” Campbell said. “I don’t who care you were, she was always there.” His grief mixed with rage. “I’m very angry. I hope they catch the bastard and fry him,” Campbell said. Jenelle Evans’ former boss James Duffy is apparently not a big fan. He posted excerpts from the Teen Mom 2 star’s private journal online earlier this week, which follows his previous Tweeting of various Jenelle Evans nude photos. Memories … According to a friend of Jenelle’s, who spoke to Hollywood Life, it all started when her old roommate stole that journal and handed it over to Duffy. Now Jenelle is steaming mad, and pressing charges. “Jenelle’s journal was in her bedroom for two weeks while she was living [with her mom], who has been in and out of the hospital for almost having a stroke,” Kristin Raeon says. ”Her sister has cancer, and it was Easter, so Jenelle moved back home.” “Julia, her old roommate, got so mad before she even came and got all of her stuff, that she went into Jenelle’s room and took her journal that she had from rehab.” “Charges are being pressed against Julia for that and stealing Jenelle’s radio.” Julia never published the journal, however, so that’s on James Duffy, who sources close to the reality star say has been harassing Jenelle Evans for years. “The guy has no life,” Kristin says. “He even came at me and attacked me because of my friendship with her. He claims Jenelle was sleeping with him. “Jenelle doesn’t send him anything. Anything [James] gets of Jenelle is all from other people, ex-boyfriends, or fake. He [lies] to all of his Facebook ‘fans.’” Wait wait wait, hold on … James Duffy has Facebook fans? In any case, Kristin does have some good news to report: “Jenelle’s [ heroin issue ] is in the past … She and Courtland [Rogers] aren’t involving themselves in nearly half as much of the drama as they used to be in.” That’s good at least … but can she stay clean?   Yes. Pat Summerall Dies; NFL Star, Broadcaster Was 82

Pat Summerall has passed away, according to reports. The former NFL star and longtime broadcaster with CBS and Fox Sports was 82 years old. His cause of death has not been revealed. Before becoming known to generations of fans as one of football’s best known TV personalities, Pat was a star kicker with the Lions, Cardinals and Giants. Partnering with John Madden, Summerall called the Super Bowl in 1982, the highest rated game of all time, along with 15 other Super Bowl contests. His final game was Super Bowl XXXVI on February 3, 2002, when the Patriots stunned the Rams on a last-second field goal by Adam Vinatieri. Watch and listen to Pat on the call below! Pat Summerall is the voice of football and always will be.” Summerall, who also called 27 Masters (golf) and 21 U.S. Opens (tennis) for CBS, had been in steadily declining health since a 2004 liver transplant. The giant of broadcasting was honored as such as a living legend, being inducted into the American Sportscasters Association Hall of Fame in 1999. R.I.P.

If you’re thinking it’s all paradise south of the border, you’re dead wrong . Another alarming attack went down in Cancun this Sunday. Via NYDailyNews reports : Six people were strangled to death and one decapitated in the southern Mexican tourist resort of Cancun on Sunday, the state’s deputy attorney general said, in the latest mass killing to strike the city in the last few weeks. Police found the bodies of the five men and two women in a shack in the outskirts of Cancun, a major tourist destination on Mexico’s Caribbean coast, that has largely escaped the drug-related violence that has racked Acapulco, a faded tourist destination on the Pacific coast. “It looks like the victims were independent drug dealers without any links to any specific cartel,” said Juan Ignacio Hernandez, deputy attorney general of Quintana Roo state. Last month six people died and five were injured after two men opened fire in a bar on the outskirts of Cancun. In a separate incident, police on Sunday found the body of another man in Cancun who had been gagged, bound and wrapped in sheets. Police have made some arrests in this case, but it seems like there’s been no end in sight for the violence in Mexico, where some 70,000 people have been killed in the last six years! Shutterstock

GTFOHWTBS! If you believe George Zimmerman’s mom he’s just some innocent man who was defending his home. Are you buying it? Via Daily Mail : Gladys Zimmerman published an open letter today, the one year anniversary of prosecutors arresting George Zimmerman for second-degree murder. In it, she thanks supporters who helped the family when they were forced into hiding after receiving numerous death threats. She writes that Zimmerman’s June 10 trial will ‘confirm’ the truth about the February 26, 2012 shooting that left the unarmed 17-year-old Martin dead. ‘April 11 2012 will be forever remembered by the Zimmerman family as the day the justice system failed us as Americans, and as a consequence an innocent man was arrested for a crime he did not commit, solely to placate the masses,’ she said. She later adds: ‘There was absolutely no justifiable reason my son should have been charged for a crime he didn’t commit and there was no just reason he should find himself incarcerated either.’ Zimmerman’s family has long said he is a victim of media manipulation and spin. They say the evidence has been clear all along that Zimmerman acted in self defense when he shot Martin once in the chest, killing him during a struggle. Gladys Zimmerman, who worked nearly three decades as a court clerk in Virginia, has never appeared publicly to speak about her son. She told News 13 in Orlando in a phone interview that she still has faith in the justice system, despite the charges against her son. Still, she warned that her son must be judged by an impartial jury. ‘It is imperative now more than ever that George receive fair treatment by the judicial system, as this is the quintessential birthright of every American,’ she wrote. She blamed news media for spinning the story about the Martin shooting and convincing the public that her son was a murderer. ‘The media, with the help of social media made it their prerogative to judge and sentence George before and after his arrest,’ she wrote. You cannot possibly be serious… Phoenix Man Kills Wife And Son Because He Thought He Gave Them AIDS Via PhoenixNewTimes Eugene Maraventano, a 64-year-old Goodyear resident, told police this weekend that he stabbed his wife and son to death and failed to kill himself after multiple tries over the course of the next four days. “I killed my wife and I killed my son; I can’t kill myself,” Maraventano told a 911 dispatcher, according to court documents obtained by New Times. Maraventano told the dispatcher that he stabbed them both to death and added that his wife had cancer, according to the documents. Police arrived at the house and found Maraventano covered with blood and with wounds to his chest. He was taken to a hospital, and police found the bodies of his wife and son in different rooms of the house. Maraventano was interviewed at the hospital, where he started by saying he used to live in New York, where he “frequented with prostitutes.” He thought he may have contracted HIV or another disease and passed it on to his wife, Janet. Janet started to get sick recently, so Maraventano thought his wife might have had cancer or possibly something he gave her. Since tests showed she didn’t have cancer, that only left one option, in Maraventano’s mind — though it’s not clear why he told the dispatcher that his wife had cancer. Of course that is the only logical answer…SMH Maraventano said he made the decision to kill his wife about two weeks ago. He’d debated using a knife or buying a gun. He settled on the knife, even though, he said, he’s “not a violent person,” according to court documents. Four days earlier, while his wife was sleeping, he finally acted, stabbing her twice, he said. Maraventano also decided to kill his son, Bryan, because he “plays video games all day, has no girlfriend, and must be handicap[ped] because he can’t get a job.” Maraventano went down the hallway and knocked on Bryan’s door. Bode Miller Brother Dies of Seizure at 29

Chelone Miller, the brother of Olympic Gold Medal skiier Bode Miller, died on April 7 of a seizure. He was 29 years old. The sad news was announced today, as U.S. Ski and Snowboard Association President Bill Marolt confirmed the passing was a result of a motorcycle accident in 2005 that left Chelone in a coma for 11 days. “Chelone Miller was an aspiring elite athlete who had made great progress as a snowboardcross rider this past season,” Marolt said in a statement. “We are all deeply saddened at the news of his death and extend our condolences to the entire Miller family.” Miller had been focusing on snowboardcross in an effort to qualify for the 2014 Winter Olympics. Just last month he won the Rahlves Banzai Tour overall title with a victory in Sugar Bowl, California. Bode, meanwhile, was crowned the overall World Cup champion in 2005 and 2008 and earned a gold medal in the super combined at the 2010 Vancouver Olympics. Our thoughts go out to the Miller family.
