Study Shows That The Chicago ATF Is Targeting Minorities In Drug Stings After what we heard about the “ War On Drugs ” this comes as absolutely no shock to us… Via USAToday A new report has found “strong, consistent and statistically significant” evidence that federal gun agents singled out minorities for controversial drug stings in Chicago. The stings had been a centerpiece of efforts by the Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms and Explosives to target violent crime. Agents lured suspects with the promise of a huge payday for robbing a drug “stash house” that did not actually exist, then left them facing long prison sentences for plotting to resell the imaginary drugs. An investigation by USA TODAY in 2014 found that the stings overwhelmingly targeted minorities. At least 91% of the people agents charged nationwide were racial or ethnic minorities. The ATF stings are particularly sensitive because they seek to enlist suspected criminals in new crimes, rather than merely solving old ones, giving agents unusually wide latitude to select who will be targeted. “They” want as many of us in prison as possible. ATF agents operating around Chicago have arrested 94 people in the undercover stings since 2006; 91% were either black or Hispanic. The new report, prepared by Columbia Law School professor Jeffrey Fagan, found only a 0.1% chance that agents could have selected so many minorities by chance, even if they were targeting only people with criminal records that suggested they were likely to be part of a robbery crew, as ATF policies require. Those results, Fagan wrote, show that “the ATF is discriminating on the basis of race” in choosing targets for the stings. The report was filed alongside motions by a University of Chicago legal clinic to dismiss federal charges in three ATF sting cases because agents intentionally targeted minorities. That request also accuses the agency of violating its internal rules for conducting the sting when agents targeted black and Hispanic suspects, but not when they targeted whites. But “they” want us standing for the flag… Image via Shutterstock

Charlotte Protester Justin Carr Dies From Gunshot Wound The protester that was shot in the head during last night’s Charlotte protest has died in the hospital. 26-year-old Justin Carr passed away late Thursday evening, after being shot by an unknown assailant. Many witnesses on the ground claim that Carr was gunned down by a Charlotte PD officer during a police ambush on the peaceful protest…a claim which the city still denies. Via MailOnline : The demonstrator who was shot in the head during Wednesday night’s riots in Charlotte has died. Justin Carr, 26, died on Thursday after being critically wounded during the unrest over the shooting of Keith Lamont Scott by a police officer. Carr was shot as protesters clashed with police in riot gear lined arm-in-arm protecting the Omni Hotel at about 8.30pm. City officials say Carr was not shot by an officer, but some protesters have claimed that he was wounded by a cop. No arrests have been made in Carr’s death, but a homicide investigation has been launched. Police Chief Kerr Putney says the detectives are determined to find who fired the fatal shots. Among those who question the city’s account of Carr’s shooting is the Charlotte Clergy Coalition for Justice. Several coalition members were just 10 feet from the victim when he was shot, according to the Charlotte Observer. ‘I saw the man go down on the pavement,’ Minister Steve Knight of Mission gathering Christian Church in Charlotte said. ‘It was an ambush. The victim was shot while he stood between two ministers, and we believe he was shot by police.’ SMH. We pray that everyone in the city of Charlotte can stay safe as protests roll into their third night tonight. Rest in peace, Justin. We hope that the TRUTH behind his death can be discovered and made public very soon… Twitter/Facebook

Homeowners Association Suing To Foreclose Ex-Athlete’s Home Ex-NFL star Chad “Ochocinco” Johnson said he’s struggling to keep up on his bills and cannot afford the $2,600 owed to his homeowners association over his Miami home. Johnson filed a letter to the court Sept. 9 in response to the foreclosure lawsuit from the Coconut Cay Homeowner’s Association, but he says he plans to pay the debt off next month in hopes he can save the pad from being foreclosed. Coconut Cay Homeowners Association sued Johnson last month , and wants to foreclose on his Miami home because he stopped paying the association fees. The former NFL star purchased the 3,410 sq. ft. six-bedroom, four-bathroom home for $265,000 back in 2012. The association explained Johnson purchased the home knowing he had to pay the monthly and quarterly association fees and other costs. Despite numerous invoices and demands for payment, they accuse him of failing to pay his assessments from September 1st, 2015 until now. The association slapped him with a lien back in June. The lien states he owes a grand total of $2,643.20 in fees, interest and attorney fees. Now, they have filed suit demanding that Johnson be ordered to pay the $2,643 in unpaid fees and if he doesn’t do it quick they want his home taken from him ASAP. Then on September 9th, Chad filed a letter to the court in the case explaining he is struggling financially but has every plan to pay the association the money owed. He said, ”I apologize for the delinquency in paying the monthly HOA fees on the property. I am currently dealing with financial hardships that made it very difficult to pay in the past few months.” Chad continued, “I expect that I should be able to (pay) the current amount of $2,242.36 no later than October 1st. He then asked who he should make the check payable to and where to send it. Neither the association nor the judge have responded to Chad’s letter in the case. Chad is currently selling his other Florida home in Davie, Florida for $2 million dollars. He narrowly avoided having that property foreclosed on, when he settled debt with the homeowners association at the last minute. The scheduled auction was cancelled only days before it was set to go live.
