Shame on them! News broke earlier today when an unedited seven-page report conducted by the Chief Medical Examiner announced the “cause of death” in the Chavis Carter investigation. According to the report by Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Stephen A. Erickson of the Arkansas State Crime Lab, the bullet that killed Carter entered his skull near his right temple, four inches from the top of his head. “At the time of discharge, the muzzle of the gun was placed against the right temporal scalp,” wrote Erickson. He went on to state that, “The manner of death is based on both autopsy findings and the investigative conclusions of the Jonesboro Police Department.” Last week, Jonesboro police released video of a police officer approximately the same size as Carter reenacting what may have happened the back of the police car on the night of July 28, when Carter and two other men were pulled over in a traffic stop. Police searched Carter twice but have said they did not find a gun. The reenactment video shows the officer being cuffed, then sitting in the back seat, retrieving a fake gun from his pants, and bringing the barrel to his right temple. The video also shows still photographs of other officers handcuffed in the backseat of a car, with the fake gun pressed to their temple. Deputy Chief Medical Examiner Stephen A. Country singer Hank Williams Jr. threw out some pretty ridiculous comments during a show on Friday. No surprise that the musician got cheers from the white crowd after he announced on-stage that Obama’s an America-hating Muslim. The country star, who caused a stir last year by comparing President Barack Obama to Hitler, unleashed more sensational criticism of the Commander in Chief at the Iowa State Fair. According to the Des Moines Register Williams told the crowd: “We’ve got a Muslim president who hates farming, hates the military, hates the U.S. and we hate him!” The controversial comments went over well with the crowd, which responded with cheers. Williams has a history of speaking his mind about Obama. Last year, ESPN dropped Williams’ “All My Rowdy Friends” from its Monday Night Football broadcast after he appeared on Fox & Friends and criticized House Speaker John Boehner for playing golf with the president, calling it “one of the biggest political mistakes ever.” “It’s like Hitler playing golf with [Israel Prime Minister Benjamin] Netanyahu,” he said. This past week has seen a lot of different musicians speak out for and against the Presidential candidates and we respect everyone’s opinion. Black folks want reality show love too! Over the years, one of the most commonly asked questions about “ The Bachelor ” has been why are there not more African-American men and women on the show. If you believe a new lawsuit that has been filed, then the responsible parties may well be the people working behind the scenes at the popular reality show. Via TMZ reports : “The Bachelor” and “The Bachelorette” are about to get a thorny rose — in the form of a lawsuit. We’re told the 2 plaintiffs — both African Americans — went to a Nashville hotel to audition for the role of bachelor. Christopher Johnson — an aspiring NFL player — claims when he arrived a producer asked him what he was doing there. Johnson and the other plaintiff, Nathaniel Claybrooks, both say they were taken to the side of the room and left out of the normal audition process. Neither was called back, and they believe it’s because of their race. They will be filing a class action lawsuit in federal court Wednesday AM. We’re told ABC, Warner Horizon Television, Next Entertainment, NZK Productions and creator Mike Fleiss, will all be sued. Maybe she got tired of getting poked SMH A woman in Taiwan killed herself by inhaling poisonous fumes while chatting with friends on Facebook and none of them alerted authorities, police said Tuesday: Claire Lin killed herself on her 31st birthday, March 18, and family members who reported her suicide were unaware of the Facebook conversations that accompanied it, Taipei police officer Hsieh Ku-ming said. Lin’s last Facebook entries show her chatting with nine friends, alerting them to her gradual asphyxiation. One picture uploaded from her mobile phone depicts a charcoal barbecue burning next to two stuffed animals. Another shows the room filled with fumes. One friend identified as Chung Hsin, told Lin, “Be calm, open the window, put out the charcoal fire, please, I beg you.” Lin replied: “The fumes are suffocating. They fill my eyes with tears. Don’t write me anymore.” A few of the Facebook friends chatting with her tried to stop her and track her down on their own, but none called police. Chung did not respond to attempts to reach him for comment. Lin’s last words, in Chinese, were: “Too late. My room is filled with fumes. I just posted another picture. SMH@This movie maker: Andrew Breitbart’s promised video of Barack Obama’s college days at Harvard University was released in full on Sean Hannity’s Fox News show on Wednesday night—and unlike the late conservative provocateur’s other video hits, this one appears to be a bit of a dud. The video—which sent some conservatives into a frenzy when Breitbart told an audience at the Conservative Political Action Conference (CPAC) last month that he had the footage—shows Obama, then a Harvard law student, introducing former Harvard Law Professor Derrick Bell, who Breitbart.com editor-in-chief Joel Pollak called the “Jeremiah Wright of academia.” Harvard law professor Charles Ogletree had the footage from 1990 and is shown presenting it to an audience after the 2008 election. “We hid this during the 2008 campaign,” Ogletree can be heard saying. “I don’t care if they find it now.” Pollak and conservatives contend that the video is another example of Obama’s history of chumminess with radicals, and the proof of the left’s continuing efforts to cover it up. But as PBS’ Andrew Golis noted, “there’s nothing new about the clip or Obama’s role in the controversy at Harvard Law School.” “In 2008, as a part of our quadrennial election special The Choice 2008,” Golis wrote, “Frontline ran the same footage of the speech as a part of an exploration of Obama’s time at Harvard Law School, where he graduated in 1991. It’s been online at our site and on YouTube since then.” Golis added that Frontline obtained the footage from the archives of WGBH, PBS’ Boston affiliate. (More on the back story.) “Is that it?” Soledad O’Brien asked Pollak in an interview on Thursday morning. “What part of that was the bombshell? Because I missed it.” Pollack responded: “The bombshell is the revelation of the relationship between Obama and Derrick Bell … [Derrick Bell] passed away last year, but during his lifetime he developed a theory called critical race theory, which holds that the Civil Rights movement was a sham and that white supremacy is the order and it must be overthrown.” The interview quickly devolved into an argument over the definition of critical race theory, with Jay Thomas, a Sirius radio host and a panelist on O’Brien’s show, jumping into the fray. “Can I say something as a white person?” Thomas asked Pollak. “What are you frightened of? Are you frightened that some black people are going to do something to you? … What do you think Barack Obama’s going to do? Is there a secret black movement that’s going to start killing white people?” The conversation got worse from there. “I’m glad you played the racism card,” Pollak fired back. “You’ve accused me of being a racist. You’ve accused me of being afraid of black people. And it doesn’t deserve a response. But let me respond anyway. I’m not afraid black people are going to be violent and take over the country. What I’m pointing out is that there’s a pattern in Barack Obama’s associations with Derrick Bell, with Reverend Wright, and it carries over into his governance because his Justice Department won’t treat black civil rights violators the same way it treats white civil rights violators.” Journalists took to Twitter to poke fun at the controversy. “Breitbart’s CPAC speech = Lana Del Ray’s ‘Video Games’ video,” Slate’s Dave Weigel wrote on Twitter. “Actual Obama tape = Lana Del Ray on ‘SNL.’” On CNN, Pollak promised more footage and more bombshells from Breitbart’s archives. “This is the beginning of a vetting process that begins with Andrew Breitbart’s probe into Barack Obama’s time in Chicago and will continue,” he said. Not only did Time put an Asian guy on the cover of their “Yo Decido” cover about Latino voters, but the Asian guy in question is actually a member of the press. OC Weekly ‘s Michelle Woo reports: A friend of mine, Michael Schennum, is the short-haired gentleman in the top row, center, behind the letter “M.” He is half Chinese and half white. Not Latino. Not even a little bit. Not even one of those Chinese-Mexicans from Mexicali that OC’s own Robert Chao Romero likes to write about. At least as far as Schennum knows. Schennum, who is a staff photographer for The Arizona Republic, wrote on his Facebook page, “They never told me what it was for or [asked] if I was Latino.” A Time spokesperson sent OC Weekly this response. Over the course of three days TIME photographed 151 people for the current cover. We took steps to ensure that everyone self-identified as Latino, that they are registered voters and that they would be willing to answer our questions. If there was a misunderstanding with one of our subjects, we apologize. Vanity Fair magazine has released its annual Hollywood issue, profiling a dozen or so up-and-coming actresses, and – just like every other year – all the actresses of any color were pushed to the side. Literally. The cover is tri-fold, featuring one “power” panel – the one you’ll actually see on newsstands – and two foldout panels. Rooney Mara (of Girl With The Dragon Tattoo ), Mia Wasikowska, Jennifer Lawrence and Jessica Chastain landed the coveted “power” panel. Black actress Adepero Oduye (of Pariah ) is featured on the second foldout alongside Elizabeth Olsen (the third famous sister) and Shailene Woodley. And finally, on the last foldout is Mission: Impossible star Paula Patton next to Felicity Jones, Lily Collins and Brit Marling. The magazine has done this almost every year. In the past, Zoe Saldana, Rashida Jones, Rosario Dawson, Kerry Washington, Jada Pinkett Smith, Jennifer Lopez, Angela Bassett, Will Smith, Samuel L. Jackson and Don Cheadle have all been pushed “to the right” so as not to be seen on newsstands, probably in hopes that a “white-washed” cover will result in more sales. See ‘em all here. Whoopi Goldberg and Sherri Shepherd were highly upset on The View when they discussed the recent controversy of a Norcross elementary school giving 3rd graders slavery themed multiplication and division problems. The Norcross school is Beaver Ridge Elementary. One of the questions wanted the 3rd graders to figure out how many beatings “Frederick” would get if he was beaten twice a day for a week.
