And you thought spankings were bad… Officer Shoots Son In Stomach A city correction officer’s son is recovering from a gunshot wound to the gut that his dad allegedly inflicted during a dust-up over the teen’s arrest on shoplifting charges, family and law-enforcement sources said today. Via NY Post reports: “I’m all right,” Quasaun Smalls, 17, told The Post this as he clutched his abdomen inside the pediatric ward of Elmhurst Hospital, his shell-shocked mom by his side. Father Robert Smalls, 39, faces charges including assault and weapons possession after allegedly blasting his boy with his service weapon early yesterday morning inside their Queens home. Sources said the shooting took place because Robert Smalls was irate that Quasaun had been busted for shoplifting over the weekend and released by cops after being issued a desk appearance ticket. The father had wanted his son taught a lesson by being sent through Central Booking for an arraignment, the sources said. According to a criminal court complaint, Quasaun told investigators that he and his father began fighting after the teen returned to their 59th Street home about 4:30 a.m. yesterday. Robert Smalls opened fire after blocking two punches, the complaint says. During an arraignment this morning, Queens prosecutor Robert Kwalbrun said Robert Smalls told cops the shooting was an accident, saying that he was sleeping when his son entered the home and that he mistook his offspring for an intruder. “He heard steps in his home,” Kwalbrun said. “He shouted, ‘Who is it?’ No lights were on. He said ‘Police, stop.’ He saw the person grab at his waist, he pulled his weapon and fired.” Kwalbrun said Robert Smalls told cops: “By the time I realized it was my son, the gun discharged.” Defense lawyer Robert Troxler said the case will come down who’s more credible, the six-year Department of Corrections veteran with no arrest record, or a teen with an arrest record. Taylor, watch your back. Taylor Swift’s Trespasser To Go Free For Now According to Radar Online The 55-year-old man accused of trespassing twice on the grounds of Taylor Swift‘s Rhode Island mansion is going free with no punishment — for now, at least. Joseph Bernatche appeared in court in Westerly, Rhode Island, on Friday for a pre-trial in the case that charges he willfully trespassed on the property, but the case has been rescheduled to September 6. When Bernatche appeared in court, his attorney, Michael J. Robinson of Robo Law tells RadarOnline.com exclusively, “They executed him! No, just kidding. Really, it was fine.” Robinson reveals that he presented new information to the Westerly Police Department about the case. “Generally it was information about the location of her property line,” Robinson explains. “Some photographs.” “The police department requested time to investigate that, so the case has been pushed back to September 6,” he adds. As for the final outcome, Robinson insists, “I’m confident it’s going to swing my way.” Bernatche was arrested while driving away from Taylor’s property on July 27, after he handed a note to her security guard. He also allegedly visited the property back in April. Taylor, you can’t play with these trespassers…you’ll end up coming home and finding one chilling in the crib like J. Lo.

Catch Fade: Female Fan Gets Her Jaw Broken And Wired Shut After Entourage Member On 2 Chainz’s America’s Most Wanted Tour Punches Her In The Face

Dayum . Girl Gets Jaw Broken On Tour Bus It’s never cool to hit a female. According to TMZ 12:25 PM PT — A rep for T.I. tells TMZ, the incident did NOT occur on T.I.’s bus … in fact, the rapper was not even aware of the incident. Which leaves two other possibilities. More drama for the Lil Wayne/2 Chainz/T.I. tour buses — law enforcement sources tell TMZ, a female fan says she was invited on board one of the vehicles after the show in OKC this week … and an entourage member punched her in the face, breaking her jaw. The alleged attacker isn’t named in the police report — but the victim says her jaw was broken in two places … and the damage is so bad she required surgery to repair it, and her jaw is now wired shut for six weeks while it heals. The victim says she’ll be on a liquid diet for the entire time. Here’s the story … the victim told police, the unidentified entourage member had been hitting on her during the concert … and invited her on board one of the rappers’ buses after the show. The victim says she took the guy up on his offer — but when she showed up with her girlfriend, he stuck his hand down her shirt and grabbed her breast. The victim says she slapped his hand away and he turned around and punched her in the jaw, sending her flying out of the bus door. She says she landed on her back on the pavement with blood pouring out of her mouth. According to the police report, the entourage member ran off, and the victim was taken to the hospital. A rep for the Oklahoma City PD tells TMZ, the incident is under investigation. So far, no arrests have been made. FYI, the incident allegedly occurred just hours before police searched 2 Chainz’ tour bus for drugs … and arrested the rapper. This is horrible . Teen Sues State For Forcing Her Into Legal Relationship According to Mail Online A teenage girl is suing a US state for allegedly forcing her into a legal relationship with the man who had forced sex with her. The unnamed victim from Massachusetts was aged 14 when she had forced sex at her home in 2009 by Jamie Melendez, 24, who was then 20, before she became pregnant and eventually gave birth to his child. The man who had forced sex with her met the schoolgirl at a church youth group in Norfolk in the state and was sentenced to 16 years’ probation and later ordered to pay $110 a week in child support to her by a family court. But last year Melendez filed a petition in a family court to argue that he should have visitation rights if he is forced to pay child support to the girl. She is expected to now have to fight this in family court. He also offered to no longer request these rights if the child maintenance order was made void. His victim was a middle school student at the time of the attack but recently graduated from high school. The girl’s lawyer Wendy Murphy criticised the original decision to force Melendez to pay child support as ‘outrageous’ and said it framed his behaviour as something ‘other than a serious crime’. She told ABC: ‘My client is very worried she’ll have to send her daughter off to this man she doesn’t know, and tell her she’ll be going off on visits with the man who raped her mother and created her. ‘She wants nothing to do with this guy. She doesn’t want a 16-year relationship with him.’ The attorney added that the girl is concerned about risking losing the custody of her child if she does not participate in the family court proceedings. Melendez – who had known his victim for three years before the attack – had gone to the girl’s house when he knew her mother would not be home, and pressured her into having sex with him. ‘She wants nothing to do with this guy. She doesn’t want a 16-year relationship with him’ She had asked a state criminal court judge to order Melendez to pay criminal restitution instead of child support – and free her from any legal relationship or proceedings with him. But this was refused – and an application for review to the Massachusetts Supreme Judicial Court also failed, as well as a further appeal. She is now suing the Commonwealth of Massachusetts in Federal Court and wants an annulment of the court order, reported Courthouse News. We understand he technically has rights as the father, but forcing someone into a legal relationship with the man who had forced sex with them is ridiculous.

Ty, that’s one hell of a misunderstanding. Ty Lawson And Girlfriend Say Arrest Was A Misunderstanding According to TMZ Denver Nuggets player Ty Lawson and his girlfriend say their domestic violence arrests this past weekend were a GIANT misunderstanding — and they’re still together. Ty and “Bad Girls Club” star Ashley King spent 3 days in jail after being arrested Saturday morning for domestic violence, stemming from a fight at Ty’s Denver home. Now sources close to the couple tell TMZ … they simply had a bad night and the arrest was a misunderstanding. They are back at home, still together and focused on moving forward. Ty and Ashley are due back in court Friday for their arraignment — when they’re hoping to put the entire case behind them. Sorry, ya’ll need more people.

Rutina Wesley Divorces Husband Maybe he got jealous of her being on a super successful show and his career isn’t really poppin.’ According to TMZ “True Blood” star Rutina Wesley is ending her marriage, but she’s taking steps to make sure she’s not sucked dry … TMZ has learned. The actress — who plays Tara on the show — filed divorce docs to end her 8-year-marriage to actor Jacob Fishel … citing the go-to reason — irreconcilable differences. Rutina is more successful than Fishel and presumably pulls in a lot more bank, but she’s asking the judge to reject any claim he might make for spousal support. Rutina and Jacob met at Juilliard back when they were students … and tied the knot when they graduated in June, 2005. They have no kids. Woman Dislocates Jaw While Trying To Eat Burger According to Mail Online A woman bit off more than she could chew at a burger restaurant and was left nursing a dislocated jaw. Nicola Peate’s jaw locked while she was eating the triple-patty ‘Kids in America Burger’ at Almost Famous in Liverpool. Colleagues laughed it off when the incident first happened during a work night out on and after fiance Neil finished the remainder of the burger, the pair made their way home – oblivious to the seriousness of the injury. But by the time Nicola, 25, arrived at work the next day, the pain had become unbearable. She said: ‘I didn’t think I’d dislocated it – you don’t expect it to happen eating a burger. ‘But I tried to eat it with a knife and fork and couldn’t. I couldn’t open my mouth fully. ‘It felt like I had cramp in my tongue, then I started to get an ear ache and a headache. ‘The next morning I woke up and felt really, really ill. The whole side of my head was hurting. ‘Then it started to feel like it was in my jaw and I knew I’d dislocated it.’ An x ray in the Emergency Department at the Royal Liverpool Hospital confirmed Nicola’s fears and a doctor quickly manipulated her jaw back into place using his thumbs. ‘The minute it went back in it was like turning a tap off in my head,’ Nicola remembered. ‘All the tension just went.’ Nicola has Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS), which means she has hyper-flexible joints that are unstable and therefore prone to dislocation, so she has visited many hospitals over the years. The clinical director of the Royal’s Emergency Department Kathryn Clark said: ‘Thankfully, incidents such as this are rare but our staff are very experienced in diagnosing and correcting dislocations. ‘I hope that in future, she takes more care when eating over-sized burgers. ‘If food is too large, we would recommend cutting it into more manageable chunks, particularly if you have Elhers-danlos syndrome.’ A spokeswoman for Almost Famous invited Nicola to enjoy a burger on them – complete with an emergency kit including cutlery and painkillers should she need it. She said: While it’s something that people joke about quite often, this is definitely the first instance of jaw dislocation as a result of an Almost Famous burger we’ve ever heard of.’ They should have left her jaw broke for being so stupid.

Veterinarian Faces Charges After Treating A Person Ever been treated by an animal doctor for a foot problem? No? Welp, apparently no one told this guy that it wasn’t the best idea. via Fox News A veterinarian has been charged with practicing medicine on humans without a license after a man said he had to have three toes amputated because of improper care. Greeley detectives wrote Dr. Fran Freemyer a ticket for the misdemeanor on Wednesday after the 58-year-old man told police he went to Northern Colorado Medical Center in late June and doctors said he needed the toes removed. Police Sgt. Susan West said Thursday the man went to the vet with a foot ailment, and the vet gave him ointment. The problem got worse and he went to a hospital.| Freemyer told The Associated Press on Thursday he was treating a dog for skin cancer, and a woman who owned the dog took some of the medicine home and gave it to a neighbor without his knowledge. “I don’t treat people,” Freemyer said. He said the dog, a Jack Russell terrier named “Scooter,” had lesions on his back and he rubbed it with a thick topical ointment and sent the dog home. He said the woman who owns the dog somehow got some of the medicine, and when a neighbor complained of a similar ailment on his foot, the dog owner thought the medicine would help.
