High School Security Guard Threatens To Shoot Up School According to Raw Story A man was arrested earlier this week for a terrorist threat against Nyack High School in New York, where he was employed as a security officer. Kenneth A. Carter, 51, was arrested May 22 without incident after a co-worker told police he made threats against the school. Carter allegedly threatened to “go home, get his guns and blow the place up” after facing disciplinary action from school officials. He was charged with making terroristic threats, a felony, and later released on $1,000 bail. Nyack Superintendent of Schools Dr. James Montesano said “at no point did we believe that our students were placed in harm’s way or there was an imminent threat of danger to them” in a statement on the school’s website. He alleged news reports of the incident did “not present an accurate representation of facts.” Montesano told Patch.com that Carter had always been “courteous and caring toward students.” He added that the media had sensationalized the incident. Maurice Jones-Drew Not Charged With Battery According to TMZ The St. Augustine PD is doing some hardcore backpedaling … admitting they ACCIDENTALLY told the media Maurice Jones-Drew was charged with battery, when in fact, he hasn’t been charged with anything … yet. Earlier today, the S.A.P.D. issued a statement to the media … which stated very clearly, “The [S.A.P.D.] has filed charges of misdemeanor battery against Jacksonville Jaguars player Maurice Jones-Drew that stemmed from an altercation at the Conch House ‘Reggae Sundays.’” Now, a rep for the S.A.P.D. tells TMZ … they screwed up and “misrepresented” the situation. According to cops … no charges have been filed against Jones-Drew, however, he IS being investigated for allegedly punching a security guard in the face … and is a “person of interest.” Cops say Jones-Drew and his attorney are being cooperative with the investigation. Courtney Love took it upon herself to tweet Amanda Bynes some advice following her Thursday, May 23 arrest. “Amanda Bynes pull it together dude,” the 48-year-old singer, who has famously struggled with substance abuse for much of her public life, wrote early in the morning on Tuesday, May 28. Though it may have been coming from a good place, Bynes, 27, wasn’t very receptive to fellow New Yorker Love’s message. “Courtney Love is the ugliest woman I’ve ever seen,” she tweeted back. “To be mentioned by her at all makes me and all my friends laugh!” Others also found Love’s tweet laughable. Actor/comedian Joel McHale tweeted, “My largest spit-take since 1988. Thank you Courtney.” Bynes was arrested in New York City on May 23 for drug possession, reckless endangerment and tampering with evidence — all of which she vehemently denies. Shortly after her arrest, an NYPD rep told Us Weekly, “Officers and building personnel went up to her apartment and she invited them in. There was a smell of drugs and a bong in the apartment, at which point Bynes picked up and threw out the window.” Bynes, however, argued in court that the alleged bong was “just a vase.” On Tuesday, TMZ posted a photo of the broken object in question, suggesting it looks like a bong. The former Nickelodeon star responded to the article on Twitter: “TMZ is being sued as we speak. That’s fake! They and NYPD is trying to frame me for a crime I didn’t commit. There was no drug paraphernalia in or around my apartment on the day I was arrested . . . I’m drug free and love talking about it!” It’s not a good look when Courtney Love is your adviser. Amanda will indefinitely self-destruct in 4, 3, 2, 1….

However, while the buildings and boardwalk of Seaside Heights can be repaired, it seems the relationship between New Jersey’s governor and the area’s most famous celebrities – the cast of MTV’s The Jersey Shore – cannot. The smallest member of the reality cast Nicole ‘Snooki’ Polizzi went head to head with Governor Chris Christie on Friday at the reopening of the Seaside Heights’ boardwalk, which featured heavily in the reality series. The pair had just filmed separate segments on the Today show when backstage the 25-year-old stopped the Governor to address why he has been critical about the show’s influence on the area in the past. The incident was caught on tape by Asbury Park Press and it was clear things were frosty between the pair. While not heard on the video, according to Snooki the politician had made his feelings clear. ‘Getting told why we are bad for jersey. Amazing,’ the star tweeted. In the video, Nicole can be heard asking the much larger man to step back from her as they talk. ‘Why are you standing so close to me,’ the mother of one asks. Leaning comically even closer to Nicole, Christie says: ‘You asked for my opinion.’ Trying to subdue the situation cast mate Deena Cortese, flanked by Jennifer ‘JWoww’ Farley, tells the politician she is from Jersey. ‘I know you are, I was talking about her,’ the governor curtly replies. Still trying to calm things down Denna said: ‘And guess what? I thought you did a good job with the hurricane.’ With the situation not getting any better, Snooki explains: ‘I just wanted to meet you, and just, hope you start to like us.’ His response isn’t audible, but as he shakes the girls’ hands as he walks away it is clear neither party is a big fan of the other. ‘He doesn’t just like us,’ Nicole then tells the cameraman. Damn, that’s cold turning your son in over Pop-Tarts. Son Arrested For Stealing Mom’s Pop-Tarts According to WBTW A North Carolina mother had her son arrested for allegedly stealing her Pop-Tarts. According to a Charlotte-Mecklenburg police report, the mother called authorities and reported her Pop-tarts were stolen by her juvenile son. Officers arrested the son and charged him with misdemeanor larceny on Monday night. A reporter for WCNC-TV in Charlotte waited more than two hours for the mother, Latasha Renee Love, age 37, to come home Wednesday evening. But she parked her car a block away and went into her house on Goldstaff Lane through the back. The TV station reported that she came out briefly to use an obscenity and then slam the door. Charlotte police valued the missing Pop-Tarts at $5, according to a police report. Love, who police say had discipline issues with her child in the past, decided to have him arrested this time. Abortion Leader Compares Rape To A Car Accident According to Raw Story Right to Life president Barbara Listing said Wednesday that women should purchase additional health insurance if they feared being raped, because the sexual crime was like a car accident. “Nobody plans to have an accident in a car accident, nobody plans to have their homes flooded. You have to buy extra insurance for those,” she told reporters. Michigan’s Board of State Canvassers on Wednesday approved a ballot petition that seeks to prohibit health insurance companies from covering abortion procedures, even in cases of rape or incest. The initiative would require abortion coverage to be purchased as a separate rider. If the activist collect signatures from 3.48 percent of all registered voters in the state, lawmakers can adopt the initiative without a signature from Gov. Rick Snyder. The Republican governor vetoed a similar proposal last year. Jessica Tramontana of Progress Michigan slammed Listing over her remark. “These extremists and religious special interests should have dropped their narrow agenda after voters rejected right-wing attacks on women last November,” she said in a statement. “Politics don’t belong in the doctor’s office. It’s time for special interest lobbyists to stop the hateful attacks on women in Michigan.” If someone would rape her and get her pregnant, maybe she would be singing a different tune.

Four pigs whose feed was supplemented with potent plant leavings during the last four months of their lives ended up 20 to 30 pounds heavier than the half-dozen other pigs from the same litter when they were all sent to slaughter in March. “They were eating more, as you can imagine,” Gross said. Giving farm animals the munchies is the latest outcome of a ballot measure passed by Washington voters in November making their state one of the first to legalize the recreational use of pot.
