Booty Call: Sri Lankan Prisoner Hides Smuggled Cell Phone In Butt, Caught After Phone Starts Ringing

Can you hear me now? Prisoner Hides Smuggled Cell Phone In Butt Via Raw Story : A Sri Lankan prisoner who tried to hide his mobile phone during a search of his cell was caught out when guards heard ring tones from his rear-end, a hospital official said on Friday. The 58-year-old convict had to be admitted to the national hospital in Colombo where doctors later retrieved the handset from his rectum. “The man had concealed the phone inside his person,” the official said, asking not to be named. “Unfortunately for him, the phone rang at the wrong time and guards knew he had a phone at the wrong end.” He said the man was in hospital for two days but was discharged and sent back to prison Friday after the mobile phone was taken out. The prisoner is serving a 10-year term for theft at the high security Welikada jail in the capital. He should have changed the ringtone to a fart sound.

You Can’t Be Serious: White Man Enlists Help Killing Wife From Black Co-Worker “You’re Black, I Know Y’all Know People”

This ignorant fool deserves to be in jail for this isht! Stephen Perry of Carmel Indiana is currently locked up awaiting trial after enlisting his black co-worker to kill his estranged wife, which he thought would help resolve serious debt issues the couple faced. According to JCOnline reports : Last month, Perry offered a co-worker $15,000 to kill his estranged wife so he could collect the money he thought she owed him and get rid of his former lover for good, police records say. Perry, 27, faces charges of conspiracy to commit murder while he sits in Hamilton County Jail. In mid-November, while working at a Valvoline Instant Oil Change in Carmel, Perry asked a co-worker whether he knew someone who could kill another person, according to a probable cause affidavit. Perry went to the co-worker, Adrian Howard, because Howard is black, the affidavit says. “You’re black,” Howard later recalled Perry saying, according to the affidavit. “I know ya’ll know people.” Howard initially thought Perry was joking, the affidavit says, but started to believe him after Perry said he wanted his estranged wife dead to settle their divorce and gain some money. On Dec. 8, Howard recorded two conversations with Perry on a cellphone while they were alone at work. During the conversations, Perry offered Howard $15,000, and a machine to print counterfeit money, to kill — or have another black person kill — his estranged wife, the affidavit says. “I just want this to be over and done with,” Perry said, according to a five-minute recording described in the affidavit. “So if she dies, I can drop the divorce lawsuit, she’s dead and I’m free.” Howard replied, “That ain’t what you want, man.” Perry, the affidavit says, then said he wanted the woman “done.” Perry handed Howard a paper with his estranged wife’s name and address, the affidavit says, and said she was living with her grandparents. Perry allegedly told Howard: “Do you want me to draw you a map of the house, how it’s laid out so you don’t kill her grandparents, just take care of her?” Howard then took the paper and said he would call some people. Perry, according to the recording, asked that Howard keep the killer’s identity secret. “I don’t want to know who, all right?” Perry allegedly said. “And if they can make it look like an accident. I mean we live in Carmel. So, you know. Black people in Carmel?” Later that month, Howard searched online for the name of Perry’s estranged wife, Allison Mayer. Mayer is the owner of a photography shop in Carmel. Howard then texted Mayer and said it was “very important that she contact him,” the affidavit says. The two met at a Starbucks, and Howard played two recordings between him and Perry. Mayer took the recordings to Carmel police. She told a detective that she and Perry had been married since December 2009 but that he had moved out in March 2012 and filed for divorce in Marion County about two months later. Several hearings on their divorce had been delayed, causing the divorce process to stretch for more than half a year. Mayer told the detective she and Perry were $200,000 in debt and that $170,000 of it came from her living expenses and college tuition. The rest, she said, came from credit cards and a civil judgment involving an apartment where they had lived. Perry, Mayer told police, believed she owed him $15,000 and told people she had stolen it from him. This woman would probably be dead if not for that black co-worker — cuz from the sound of it Perry would have kept looking until he found a “black person” who would have carried out the job. SMH! Sad to see there are folks out there who think having a murder committed is as simple as just asking a black person to “hook it up.” Photo Credit: Hamilton County Police

“Edgy” Philadelphia Theater Company To Stage “Uncle Tom’s Cabin” With White Slaves

How many of you would go see a reverse version of the play Uncle Tom’s Cabin with white slaves instead of black??? Via Phillymag.com: When was the last time you saw Uncle Tom’s Cabin in a theater? The answer is probably never. As far as I can tell, a theatrical version of Harriet Beecher Stowe’s controversial novel hasn’t been performed in the Philadelphia area for many decades, and that also appears to be true for the rest of the country, with the exception of a couple of attempts in New York City over the years. But one Philadelphia theater company says that it’s time to bring the story back to the stage, but with a twist. EgoPo Classic Theater, a company that describes itself as “edgy, innovative, and inspiring,” is set to debut Uncle Tom in May at Delancey Place’s Plays & Players Theater. Uncle Tom was quickly transformed into a theatrical work after the novel’s 1852 publication. And although the book was immensely popular (its sales in the 1800s were only surpassed by those of the Bible), the various theatrical versions were even more so. Because copyright laws were not what they are today, the scripts strayed freely from the original text, and the show eventually became a centerpiece of minstrel performances, complete with blackface and the most exaggerated racial stereotypes possible. Plus, the book itself wound up on some “banned book” lists, and the NAACP objected to its language and characterizations. No wonder the progressive theater world sought to distance itself in later years. For the May production, EgoPo artistic director Lane Savadove and Glenn Odom, a literary studies professor at Rowan University, are creating a new script. “We’re doing a realistic, naturalistic version that will be incredibly respectful of the novel,” promises Savadove. “We’re not writing anything. We’re using the book word-for-word, cutting it just so that it works in a theatrical format. I really want the novel to speak for itself on the stage. This is not going to be some post-modern version of Uncle Tom’s Cabin.” I asked him why it was important to do Uncle Tom now, why he wants to pick it up after all these years. “The play got tagged as racist not because of the book but because of the minstrel shows,” he explains. “The book was written as an anti-racist piece, and in the last 10 years, the top African American scholars like Henry Louis Gates and Cornel West have gone back to reclaim it as an important part of racial history. And so, we wanted to go back now that it’s seen in this new light and create a new theater version.” Further complicating the matter is Savadove’s decision to swap races in the casting process. In other words, white actors will play slaves while black actors will play their owners. I talked to one white actor who plans to audition for the show, even though his concerns are “numerous.” The actor, who asked to remain anonymous, points out that many of the stereotypes commonly associated with black culture can be traced back to Uncle Tom, from the “Aunt Jemima” figure to the hyper-educated, very proper black man. “Those stereotypes were built off of white characterizations of blacks,” he says. “I don’t know how having white actors playing black characters introduces anything new to this story. I sincerely hope that there is an artistic objective beyond being edgy for the sake of being edgy.” Blame Django???? Thoughts???

Man Down: Dog Owner Killed After His Pooch Jumps In The Car, Steps On The Gas Pedal And Runs Him Over

This “man’s best friend” made a fatal mistake… Man Killed After Dog Steps On Gas Pedal And Runs Him Over A Florida man who was arriving home with his dog in the car suffered a fatal and unexpected death when  dog leaped into the car , stepped on the gas pedal, and ran over the man…… killing him on impact. via Yahoo News We’ve all seen tragic headlines about a man being killed by his best friend. But this sad story out of the Sunshine State is truly bizarre: James Campbell  died after his dog jumped into his van and landed on the vehicle’s accelerator . The Associated Press reports that Campbell, 68, has just returned home with Iris Fortner, 56, who had backed up to the driveway of their Florida Panhandle home. Campbell got out and stepped behind the vehicle to open the gate, and Fortner opened the driver’s side door to see where he was. That’s when her boxer bulldog reportedly jumped in, landing on the vehicle’s accelerator. The Florida Highway Patrol said Fortner tried to stop the van, but Campbell was already trapped underneath it. He was pronounced dead at the scene by officials. SMH. What a horrible way to lose your life.

Grief is a hell of a drug.. Man Steals His Father’ Dead Body And Tries To Resurrect Him A Michigan man may faces charges and jail time after his grieving over his late father led him to do the unthinkable and steal the 93-year-old corpse from the cemetery in an attempt to resurrect the body. via My Fox Detroit Tuesday morning, Officer George Day and his colleagues from the Detroit Police Department discovered the corpse of 93-year-old Clarence Bright at his son’s home on Eastlawn stuffed in a deep freezer in the basement. “The family members informed us that the body was in the house,” said Day. They had been searching since Monday for Bright’s corpse and his casket. His funeral was Saturday, but his body was stored in the mausoleum at Gethsemane Cemetery until weather conditions allowed for his burial on Monday. That’s when cemetery workers found the casket and the corpse missing. A van was seen driving away with Bright inside. Police were looking for Bright’s 48-year-old son, who told people he was going to do something. He had a deep freezer and, police say, planned to store his father there and pray over him to resurrect him. Losing a loved one can have you doing some crazy isht. Random Ridiculousness: Tide Detergent’s Being Used As ‘Liquid Gold’ By Drug Addicts!?!?

The hell??? Did you know Tide is one of the most commonly stolen items off of store shelves? According to The Daily Mail , folks are buying it with a five-finger discount so they can keep gettin’ high: The pricey detergent – which has been America’s number one since it was first released in 1946 – is known as ‘liquid gold’ on the streets, with a 150-ounce bottle going for either $5 cash or $10 of weed or crack cocaine. In grocery stores, it sells at upwards of $20 per 150-ounce bottle, about 50 per cent more than the average liquid detergent so is easily sold on to privately-owned retail stores for a profit. Police first reported the strange crime wave sweeping the nation in March of last year and were baffled as to the sudden surge in theft of the highly-recognizable brand. An investigation headed by Sergeant Aubrey Thompson in Maryland found some explanation as to why. The bright orange jugs became ad hoc street currency due to the fact it was such a popular house-hold name – whatever the income – and people were not prepared to forego buying the brand even in recessionary times because it was associated with quality. ‘It doesn’t matter where the clothes come from, if you wash them with Tide, they do have almost this prestige wash to them,’ said Maru Kopelowicz, a global creative director at Saatchi & Saatchi. During his investigation, Sgt Thompson found that the detergent was flying off the shelves. Speaking about one grocery store in suburban Bowie, he told New York Magazine: ‘They were losing $10,000 to $15,000 a month, with people just taking it off the shelves.’ Also, stealing the detergent garners a low penalty conviction if thieves are caught – as opposed to mugging someone in the street, for example, or breaking into someone’s home. ‘They are smart. They are creative. They want high reward and low risk,’ Sgt Thompson said. ‘Theft convictions can come with a maximum fifteen-year prison sentence, but the penalty for shoplifting is often just a small fine, with no jail time. ‘It’s the new dope. You can get richer and have less chance of doing jail time.’ Unlike other commonly-stolen items such as smartphones or electronioc devices, bottles of the cannot be traced, and they are not locked up but freely available to take off the shelves as they are so popular. From the East Coast to the West, some CVS drug stores have begun locking up their detergent while some cities have set up special task forces to tackle the recent spree. Last year, a Minnesota man was arrested after allegedly stealing more than $25,000 worth of the product. ‘We don’t have any insight as to why the phenomenon is happening, but it is certainly unfortunate,’ said Procter and Gamble spokeswoman Sarah Pasquinucci said in March. SMH. We were wondering why those bottles of Tide had security tags on them. Images via tumblr

Same Sex Matrimony-dom: ‘Kyle XY’ Actor Matt Dallas Comes Out On Twitter And Announces His Engagement At The Same Time!!!

Don’t you just love twitter ?? According to the Huffington Post , Dallas never ‘officially’ come out until he tweeted his announcement this past Sunday: Dallas came out as gay with a simple tweet on Sunday night. The former “Kyle XY” actor revealed he is happily engaged to his boyfriend, musician Blue Hamilton, according to Towleroad. The 26-year-old Dallas had not publicly come out as gay…but there had been speculation about his sexuality for years. In early 2009, he was linked to “Mean Girls” actor Jonathan Bennett, from whom he reportedly split that same year. In September 2009, Dallas and Hamilton were spotted together grabbing food in West Hollywood. Dallas’ coming-out is in line with what appears to be a trend of celebrities addressing their sexuality in remarkably subtle ways — really, nothing more than “I’ve never been in.” “White Collar” hunk Matt Bomer came out while accepting an award last February. “Star Trek” actor Zachary Quinto revealed he is gay during a profile with New York Mag in October 2011. “Gone are the days of the ‘Yep, I’m Gay’ magazine covers,” notes HuffPost Gay Voices Editor-at-Large and SiriusXM host Michelangelo Signorile, “with celebrities making a spectacle of coming out, and thus focusing on the fact that they were in the humiliating and painful gay closet… The closet isn’t going away any time soon. But one step toward dismantling it among public figures it to make it a difficult and embarrassing place to be. From the looks of the latest celebrity self-outings, that’s perhaps starting to take hold.” You think he told his Mom first??? Images via twitter

Senseless: 16-Year-Old NYC Boy Murdered After Refusing To Hand Over $600 Jacket To Gang Members

Jesus take the wheel … NYC Boy Murdered After Refusing To Hand Over $600 Jacket A 16-year-old boy is dead, after being shot Friday night on the Lower East Side. Via NYPost reports: A Lower East Side teenager by the name of Raphael Ward was senselessly slaughtered after he refused to hand over his trendy Marmot winter parka to a gang of thugs, police sources said yesterday. The gunman, described as 5-foot-6, 120 to 140 pounds, was wearing a dark wool hat and a ski mask when he walked up to Ward in the 32 degree cold and shot him just minutes after the altercation over the jacket, police sources said. After he was shot, a dying Ward — still wearing his bloodied parka — stumbled across the street to the Tearedhan convenience store and told workers there he had been approached by a group of people who had wanted his jacket, police sources said. The Marmot parkas can sell for as much as $600. Police are looking at security-camera video that may have captured the coldblooded murder. The victim’s stunned friend Cynthia Nieves, 14, said she met Ward just before he was gunned down. Although he didn’t tell her what was wrong, he warned her: “Go home!” “He knew they were coming back,” she said. Nicholas Ramos, 18, said he and Ward went to get a slice of pizza across from the church, but Ward “stopped to talk to somebody and I went across the street to the pizza place, and that’s when he got shot,” said Ramos. Ramos said he heard several shots, but waited a minute before he ran out to help Ward. The victim was later declared dead at Beth Israel Hospital. A young life cut short because of a simple piece of clothing, how sad. Keep the Ward family in your prayers. Tajanae Brown
