During their panel discussion at yesterday’s Television Critics Association winter press tour session, judges Jennifer Lopez, Randy Jackson and Steven Tyler left little doubt that they don’t care much for NBC’s singing competition, which gets underway on February 5. Among the disses lobbed at The Voice by this trio and/or Fox executives: “It’s a compliment to Idol. Labeled an “artistic genius” by Tony Bennett, Lady Gaga took over ABC for 90 minutes last night, airing a unique special that featured eight songs; a dish of fried waffles; a visit to the singer’s Manhattan alma mater; an interview with Katie Couric; and a reunion with an influential nun. On the upcoming Under the Mistletoe, JB also teams up with Busta Rhymes for a ‘genius’ take on ‘Little Drummer Boy.’ By James Montgomery Justin Bieber Photo: MTV News Justin Bieber ‘s upcoming Under the Mistletoe album — you know, the one powered by Christmas cookies and promoted by the first single, “Mistletoe” — also features more than its fair share of eye-opening collaborations. That’s counting Bieber’s mentor Usher (who appears on a version of “Chestnuts Roasting on an Open Fire”), Boyz II Men, the Band Perry and, rather amazingly, Busta Rhymes , who teams up with JB on an updated take of “Little Drummer Boy.” As Bieber told MTV News during the live stream that followed the premiere of his “Mistletoe” video , the Busta collaboration is one he’ll always remember … mostly because he considers it to be quite brilliant. “If you really think about it, it’s genius, because it’s rapping on a Christmas album … and, like, I’m rapping on it. And then it’s singing,” he explained. “It’s cool. [Busta’s] got, like, a percussive voice to him [and] the beat was so crazy. I’m actually playing drums on that song, playing the snare.” And then, of course, there’s his collabo with none other than Mariah Carey , on a version of her instant-classic “All I Want for Christmas Is You.” If you thought he was blown away by his Busta team-up, well, you haven’t heard anything yet. And he owes it all to none other than Randy Jackson. “Mariah Carey is doing it with me! It’s incredible. So excited,” he said of “All I Want.” “We wanted Mariah from the beginning, but we kind of thought it was really hard, so we didn’t really push the idea. But she’s on my label, so we reached out to some people, she got in contact with us, and Randy Jackson was actually at the studio with us, and I was like, ‘Yo, you think you can help get Mariah on the Christmas album?’ And he was like, ‘I’m actually going to see her in New York on Monday,’ and I was like ‘Yo, go do that!’ ” Which Bieber Christmas collabo are you most looking forward to? Michael Jackson’s kids are planning on attending the upcoming MJ Tribute Concert in person. This in spite of objections from two of their uncles. Prince, Paris and Blanket have all decided that they want to fly to Wales for the event, regardless of what Jermaine and Randy Jackson think. An Jackson family rep tells TMZ: “Paris, Blanket and Prince have been asked to attend the MJ Tribute in Wales and they have decided to go.” The rep adds that the kids are “extremely excited and they’re hoping they will have the opportunity to contribute in some way by making a speech.” “Nothing has been set in stone, but they really hope they can.” Jermaine and Randy are fighting their attendance, as well as the concert itself, which they consider “inappropriate,” given that the event is due to take place in October during the involuntary manslaughter trial of Dr. Conrad Murray . The Survivor host is the latest big name to land his own talk show, as he confirmed a deal with CBS today that will have the untitled gabfest on the air in 2012. “I’m fascinated with human nature and thrilled that this show will allow me the opportunity to connect with real people and explore their stories on a personal level,” says Probst, who isn’t leaving the reality show that made him famous. “As I continue with Survivor , I am excited to extend my relationship with CBS with this new adventure in the world of daytime.” Probst has stepped in before on Regis and Kelly and on Larry King Live . The new show will cover everything from current events to extraordinary tales. Will you watch?

Bella’s wedding dress has been revealed! EW scored pics from Stephenie Meyer’s new book, The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide , which goes on sale April 12. Below, you can see an artist’s conceptualization as Bella as a vampire and Bella as a bride … Can you imagine K-Stew rocking that piece? The book’s illustrator, Young Kim, has done a great job bringing Meyer’s characters to life thus far. We imagine the forthcoming, two-part film will be no different.
