Bella Swan’s Breaking Dawn Wedding Dress: Revealed!

Last Friday, leaked Breaking Dawn sex pics caused a major stir. Today, another set of images from the upcoming film are making news – G-rated, less controversial news. Bella’s wedding dress has been revealed! EW scored pics from Stephenie Meyer’s new book, The Twilight Saga: The Official Illustrated Guide , which goes on sale April 12. Below, you can see an artist’s conceptualization as Bella as a vampire and Bella as a bride … Can you imagine K-Stew rocking that piece? The book’s illustrator, Young Kim, has done a great job bringing Meyer’s characters to life thus far. We imagine the forthcoming, two-part film will be no different.

Pia Toscano: The Most Shocking American Idol Elimination Ever?

The stunning elimination of Pia Toscano on American Idol Thursday night will no doubt go down as one of the show’s most controversial in 10 seasons. Despite her lackluster stage presence, her talent outclassed much of the field, with many predicting she would make it all the way to the May 25 finale. No one understood why Pia was in the bottom three to begin with. As the results were revealed, the judges and her fellow hopefuls were dumbstruck. When the show ended, no one in the studio audience moved. In past eliminations, it’s been an easy transition off the stage, but this was no ordinary elimination. Crushed, Pia buried her head in Jacob Lusk’s chest. Haley Reinhardt wiped away tears and prompted the crowd to cheer for Pia. Stefano Langone looked destroyed and guilty that he kept a spot over Pia. Randy Jackson, Jennifer Lopez and Steven Tyler surrounded her to show their support, as if she’d just lost a loved one. It was that kind of shocker. But the votes don’t lie, and this wasn’t the first such shocker on Idol . Still, it’s gotta be top five, right? Here are four that ranked up there with it: Chris Daughtry. The presumptive winner of season five was ousted before Taylor Hicks (winner), Katharine McPhee AND Elliott Yamin. Wow. Melinda Dolittle. The veteran backup singer was on a collision course for a finale with Jordin Sparks (winner), but Blake Lewis beat her out. Michael Johns and Carly Smithson. They finished eighth and sixth in Season 7 (David Cook and David Archuleta finished 1-2) Far too low. Jennifer Hudson. The future Oscar winner finished 7th in Season 3. Fantasia (winner) has had a nice career, but finalists 2-? Unknowns. What do you think? Was Pia Toscano the most shocking elimination of all? Something to ponder as you watch her swan song last night, “I’ll Stand By You.” Some of the first words: “Why you look so sad …” Pia Toscano – I’ll Stand By You (American Idol) [Photo: Fox]

James Durbin Soars With Paul McCartney Cover On ‘American Idol’

‘Dangerous’ Durbin surprises judges with his rendition of the Wings staple ‘Maybe I’m Amazed.’ By Adam Graham James Durbin performs on “American Idol” Wednesday Photo: FOX James Durbin has one of those big, overpowering voices that can be difficult to rein in. But on Wednesday’s (March 9) episode of “American Idol,” he was able to keep it in check, and turned in one of the evening’s standout performances. After tearing through Judas Priest’s heavy metal classic “You’ve Got Another Thing Comin’ ” on last week’s show, one may have expected Durbin to go back to the metal playbook this week, when contestants were asked to sing a song by one of their personal idols. Instead, Durbin threw a curveball and opted to sing Paul McCartney’s “Maybe I’m Amazed,” which was recorded by Wings in 1976 (and may be familiar to fans of “The O.C.” as the song played at Julie Cooper’s wedding in the season-one finale). Durbin said he admired McCartney for his versatility and for being one of the best musicians, writers and singers in rock history, and said he one day also hopes to be remembered in those terms. In the studio, Durbin teamed up with producer Jim Jonsin (Lil Wayne’s “Lollipop,” T.I.’s “Whatever You Like”) to work on the song’s arrangement, and Jonsin pumped up the song with a bit of a hip-hop backbeat. Interscope Records head honcho Jimmy Iovine praised Durbin’s mighty pipes, saying “Idol” is a perfect vehicle for a voice like Durbin ‘s to be discovered. “You don’t hear many voices like that,” he said. “I didn’t even know kids were out there singin’ like that!” On the “Idol” stage, Durbin — flaunting a fresh haircut, a clean-shaven face and without the scarf “tail” he wore last week — did justice to “Amazed,” and didn’t drive it over a cliff with his over-the-top vocal wails. Instead, he held back and showed a more reserved side of himself, and displayed a range, both vocally and emotionally, that proved he was more than the one-trick-pony/ Adam Lambert clone as his detractors had him pegged. The judges dug the way he changed things up and managed to “slay” it, in Randy Jackson’s words. “I was like, ‘Yo, this dude can do anything, man!” the Dawg told him. “James Durbin is dangerous, America. This guy can sing!” Steven Tyler followed suit, saying Durbin took everything he ever felt and “kicked it into the middle of next week” — apparently that’s a good thing — and Jennifer Lopez complimented his vocal skills. “The truth is you have what the greatest rock singers have, which is a melodic quality to your voice,” she said. And it appears as though we’re going to hear plenty more of that voice in the weeks to come. What did you think of James Durbin’s performance? Let us know in the comments! Mariah Carey & Nick Cannon’s Baby Shower Details Revealed [PHOTO]

See the original post here:

Mariah Carey and Nick Cannon recently held their baby shower with a small group of friends and family at the rooftop Conservatory Grill at the Montage hotel. Their twin boy and girl are due in late April or early May. Life & Style got the private details. The shower was decorated in pink and blue, from the balloons and flowers to the servers’ aprons and the napkins. Guests, including “American Idol” judge Randy Jackson, snacked on gourmet pizzas and appetizers and enjoyed Mariah’s very own champagne, Angel. A 6-foot-long gift table was filled with tiny outfits, books and stuffed animals but possibly the best gift she was given came from her fans. “I’d never been to a baby shower. This was my first one — it was so festive! … There was a lot of love in the room, and to top it off, fans from more than 50 countries sent well-wishes and stories in a book they made for our twins titled ‘Always Be My Babies,’ which was the sweetest gesture in the world. It was a night I will never forget.” Mariah Carey’s Sister Is An “Adult Escort” With HIV Mariah Carey Shows Off Her Baby Bump [PHOTOS] Guess What Nick Cannon Bought Mariah Carey For Christmas [PHOTO]
