Jersey Shore Season 4: Confirmed! In Italy!

It’s official. Jersey Shore is running it back for a fourth season and this time, the gang will take their act across the Atlantic to the motherland of Italy. Well, it’s the motherland for Vinny Guadagnino , the only authentic Italian in the bunch. The rest of the self-proclaimed guidos/ettes are kind of posers. In any case, it’s so on in Italy, where some of Vinny’s relatives are even hosting the Jersey Shore crew for an authentic dinner, Guadagnino style. Uncle Nino had better be there. Just saying. MOLTO BUONA : New Jersey’s finest are heading overseas! MTV confirmed this report , and is already scouting locations in Italy, similar to the way they did it in Miami for Season 2, to find the right locales. Two months ago, Shore executives began working on getting visas for the cast and crew. No word if Snooki’s arrest record will prohibit her entry. Of course, it’s all contingent on whether the Italian government lets them in, which hopefully they will. They can also consider keeping them. Just saying. It’s a thought.

50 Cent Denies Dating Chelsea Handler

Chelsea Handler may have Tweeted a photo of herself in bed with 50 Cent , but the two are definitely not a couple, according to the rapper-turned-actor. When Access Hollywood’s Maria Menounos asked 50 to set the dating rumors straight at the Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah, he did just that. And he said the two are not involved romantically. “No, you could’ve asked Chelsea,” he said . “She made that visible for everyone to know.” Probed again by Maria, who mentioned the late night host and the rapper’s closeness of late, Mr. Cent laughed and said, “We’re just good friends.” So why has Chelsea been talking about the star so much lately? “‘Cause we’re friends,” 50 said. “That would be a good reason to talk about me.” Makes sense. But where’s the fun in that logic.

Jay-Z Joins Chicken Venture After Dropping ‘H.A.M.’

The hip-hop mogul is now an investor in his cousin’s Buffalo Boss restaurant in Brooklyn. By D.L. Chandler Jay-Z (file) Photo: Eugene Gologursky/ WireImage After amassing a huge fortune last year via record sales, book sales and several key investments, rap and entertainment mogul Jay-Z is winging it — literally. Just as his “H.A.M.” collaboration with Kanye West was dropping on Facebook, news broke that the 41-year-old Brookynite has invested in the Brooklyn-based chicken wing restaurant Buffalo Boss, teaming up with his mother, Gloria, and sister, Andrea in the new venture. Keeping things within the family, the fast food joint is currently co-owned by the rapper’s cousin Jamar White. “Yes, it’s all true,” White told MTV News confirming the news. “Jay supports us in all we do, that’s my big cousin right there.” The eatery does more than dole out saucy wings, fries, salads and soft drinks. According to TMZ , Jay-Z and Buffalo Boss recently teamed up to reward exceptional students at a nearby middle school with free eats. (However, a glance at the Buffalo Boss menu doesn’t exactly bode well for children and adults looking for healthy options.) The news that Jigga is investing in a chicken restaurant will come as a mild surprise to some fans as the rapper revealed to Oprah in 2009 that he doesn’t eat much in the way of the largely affordable meat as it reminded him of his former poverty. “We ate a lot of chicken, you know, because chicken’s cheap,” he said. “We had so much chicken — chicken backs, chicken everything … to this day, I can only eat small pieces or else I feel funny.” Related Photos Kanye West And Jay-Z: History In The Making Related Artists Jay-Z

SMH: Waka Flocka Joins Gucci Mane In The Rappers-In-Jail-Over-Dumb-Sh*t Rotation

Yup Gucci’s back in jail. And this time he took Wacka Flocka with him. This is another one we probably should have seen coming. Both men were incarcerated Monday for separate infractions — Gucci Mane, aka Radric Davis, in Fulton County, and Waka Flocka, the alias of Juaquin James Malphurs, in Henry County. Gucci Mane was ordered back to jail by Fulton Superior Court Judge John Goger for violating terms of his probation — the same offense that led to his incarceration for several months last winter. Records show he has been in the Fulton County Jail at least five times since 2005 on drug, aggravated assault and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon charges. Waka Flocka, who turned himself in Monday, is being held on charges including drug and weapons possession as well as criminal street gang activity and a probation violation, according to jail records. Henry County police arrested two people at Waka Flocka’s home for possession of a minor amount of marijuana three weeks ago. The 24-year-old rapper was not home at the time — but Gucci Mane was. He was handcuffed and then freed, according to reports, the second time in as many months that he was arrested but not charged. Gucci Mane was briefly jailed in early November after an off-duty police officer reported seeing a white Hummer being driven recklessly on Northside Drive. Dispatched officers saw the Hummer outside an auto body shop where the rapper was arguing with another man. Officers had to use pepper spray to subdue Gucci Mane, who was jailed overnight. But charges were dropped for “want of prosecution.” It appears doubtful Gucci Mane will be so lucky this time around. Goger reportedly told the rapper’s attorneys Monday that prison time is inevitable. He’s scheduled for a hearing Jan. 24. Waka Flocka has kept pace with his mentor, returning to jail for the second time in less than a year. He was arrested in Houston County last March for leaving Georgia for a concert, which violated his probation from a 2006 incident. At the time he pleaded guilty to possession of a sawed-off shotgun and received four years probation, according to the Houston County Superior Court Clerk’s office. From what TMZ reports, the charges Wacka is facing probably mean he won’t be back on the streets any time soon either. The Henry County Sheriff’s Department tells TMZ … Waka was booked for multiple charges including: – Possession of marijuana less than 1 ounce – Possession of firearm by convicted felon – Possession of hydrocodone – Possession of a firearm during the commission of a felony – Violation of probation for driving on a suspended license – Violating Georgia’s “Criminal Street Gang and Terror Prevention Act” The rapper’s mother tells TMZ, Waka surrendered on his own this afternoon “because he wanted to do the right thing and didn’t want to run.” As we first reported, cops hit Waka’s home on December 16 — and after confiscating all sorts of illegal items, issued an arrest warrant for Waka … who wasn’t home at the time. Waka’s being held on $31,950 bond — and a hearing is set for tomorrow. We have just three questions: 1) Why didn’t Waka Flocka make bond? Doesn’t dude walk around with $32k worth of jewelry on on any given day? 2) When you have a certain amount of money, shouldn’t “probation violation be the LAST thing you get popped for? And last, but certainly not least: when is Dr. Drew going to make a Celebrity Halfway House For Retarded Rappers? Source 1

DMX Moved To Mental-Health Unit Of Arizona Prison

Judge says rapper has ‘an undiagnosed mental condition.’ By Jayson Rodriguez DMX Photo: Paul Redmond/ WireImage DMX has been transferred to the mental-health unit of an Arizona prison facility, according to a report. The troubled rapper (born Earl Simmons) was arrested in November after a probation violation stemming from his most-recent supervised release. DMX served a short four-month sentence in Maricopa County Jail for a separate violation. The Yonkers, New York, native has had several run-ins with the law in that state, including six arrests. His latest violation occurred when X refused to undergo treatment after officials discovered he tested positive for cocaine in his system at least five times while he was on probation. The rapper was charged with felony probation violation and later pled guilty in a Phoenix courtroom. The judge handling his case warned the rapper that his mental state was contributing to his deviant behavior. Earlier this month, Judge Christine Mulleneaux described DMX as having “an undiagnosed mental condition.” The judge then ordered him back to prison for one year. According to the Phoenix New Times , just before the holidays, X was transferred to the Flamenco Mental Health Unit at Alhambra, a division of Arizona State Prison Complex. Records indicate the move occurred December 20, and the rapper will not be allowed visitors for 30 days. As of press time, it was unclear whether X will undergo any type of evaluation of if the former Ruff Ryders star is simply being observed while he goes through a detoxing period. Related Artists DMX

‘B.M.F’ To T.I.: The Top 10 Hip-Hop Stories Of 2010

Take a look back at what happened to Lil Wayne, Guru, Nicki Minaj and other rap stars in the past 12 months. By Jayson Rodriguez Lil Wayne Photo: John Parra/ WireImage In 2010, the biggest stories in hip-hop imbued the community with collective cheers (as new stars like Drake and Nicki Minaj began to break out) and sobs (as Guru passed and T.I. returned to prison). There were also stories we’ll probably still remember years from now, like when Eminem and Jay-Z joined forces in their hometown ballparks or when Weezy was freed from Rikers. Here, MTV News takes a look at the top 10 hip-hop stories of the year. “B.M.F.” Bawses Rick Ross’ industrial-strength anthem was hip-hop’s biggest street record of the year and transformed the Miami MC from punching bag to Teflon Don following his feud with 50 Cent. His textured voice delivered a series of massively catchy lines (“I think I’m Big Meech!”), while 2010’s breakout producer Lex Luger laced the track with a concrete-hard instrumental. “B.M.F. (Blowin’ Money Fast)” served as the soundtrack to the summer, and rappers like Lupe Fiasco (“Building Minds Faster”), Sheek Louch (“The Real New York”) and Jermaine Dupri (“I Think I’m Berry Gordy”) all took the beat for a spin. Drake Debuts Heading into 2010, the Toronto lyricist was still riding high from his breakout mixtape, 2009’s So Far Gone , and expectations were adding up like late charges. But the Lil Wayne prot

The Game Robbed While Christmas Shopping

The rapper claims that he had valuables stolen from a friend’s car while they visited an L.A.-area mall on Christmas Eve. By Jayson Rodriguez The Game Photo: Moses Robinson/ WireImage It wasn’t exactly Yuletide blessings over at The Game’s house during holidays. The Los Angeles rapper claims that he was robbed on Christmas Eve. He vented his frustrations via Twitter , saying robbers relieved him and a friend of a luxury travel bag, jewelry and cash while his associate’s car was parked in valet outside of a local mall. “So, heres my day: tried 2 do last minute shoppin 4 da kids & valet stole a Louis Duffle out @ avanterose ‘s car & we 2 chains & $75,000 short,” The Game wrote in several messages . “So police come & guess who get patted down ? Yea, US !!! then they tell us da palmtree was blocking the crime scene on the tape.” According to the rapper, he’s going to search for justice by his own means. He threatened the Topanga Mall Nordstrom valet drivers with an offer to deliver them gifts after the holiday. The Game, however, noted that he and his associate are both on probation, so they couldn’t properly voice their displeasure with the valet employees while police were present. Last month, The Game attempted to reconcile with former mentor 50 Cent once again. The Compton native reached out to the G-Unit head honcho via Twitter about rejoining the crew populated by Fif, Lloyd Banks and Tony Yayo. (Young Buck, like Game, was ousted by 50 for being disloyal.) “@50cent Aye n—a, get on twitter & let’s get this sh– movin !!! G-G-G-G- well, you know the rest,” Game’s note to 50 read. “@50cent All it take is ‘ONE PHONE CALL’! U call me, I call BUCK, tell Banks holla at Yayo & dat puts HIP HOP @ OUR MERCY! #UknowUcdisN—A. Anybody don’t like it, F— YALL!!!” 50 questioned Game’s sincerity and dismissed the olive branch, though, saying the rapper’s motive was to promote his long-delayed release, The R.E.D. Album .
