Epitome Of A Bad Mother: Port St. John Mom Murks Four Kids Before Killing Herself [Video]

This one had us in tears. Three of the kids escaped to a neighbor’s house only to be called back by their mom . A mother of four shot and killed her children — three of whom returned home after fleeing — before killing herself Tuesday morning at a Port St. John home, according to investigators. The Brevard County Sheriff’s Office said Tonya Thomas, 33, shot and killed her two daughters, 17-year-old Pebbles Johnson and 13-year-old Jazlin Johnson, and her two sons, 15-year-old Jaxs Johnson and 12-year-old Joel Johnson. Brevard County sheriff’s Lt. Tod Goodyear said three of the children went to a neighbor’s house to say their mother had shot them. The mother then called the children back to the house and shot them again, killing them, investigators said. “I’m a father and I’ve got kids. I cannot comprehend a person doing that to their child — calling them back to the slaughter,” Goodyear said. The neighbors called 911 just before 5 a.m. and deputies found Pebbles Johnson dead in the front yard of the home at 7245 Bright Avenue. Deputies then spotted someone at the door and called the SWAT team, who later entered the home and found four people dead. “We have no idea on motive right now,” said Goodyear, who added that no note or letter has been discovered. The father of the children lives elsewhere in Brevard County and was very distraught upon hearing the news, Goodyear said. A friend of Thomas told authorities that Thomas sent a text message around 3 a.m., saying she wanted to be cremated with her children. The message wasn’t received, however, until after the friend woke up, which was after the family was found dead. More than a dozen deputies and SWAT team members had converged on the home and the neighborhood was cordoned off during the investigation. Goodyear said deputies were called to the home for a domestic incident a few weeks ago, but he offered no other details. Thomas has no significant criminal history, and domestic battery charges against her were dropped in 2002. Jaxs Johnson was set to appear in juvenile court on Tuesday for a misdemeanor battery charge involving his mother, but it’s not known if the hearing played a role in the shootings. School officials issued a statement after being informed of the deaths. “Brevard Public Schools is saddened to learn of the tragic deaths of four of its students. The police have released the students’ names and crisis teams/grief counselors have been sent to the respective schools to help students, faculty and staff deal with this heartbreaking news,” school officials said. It’s a cold world but sometimes it’s not what’s outside that gets us. Just heartbreaking. Video and photos below: Source Photo Credit: Brevard County Reporter

Video: Kobe Bryant Tried to Kill a Reporter with His Eyes Following Lakers vs. Thunder Game 1

The Los Angeles Lakers were completely and thoroughly embarrassed the Oklahoma City Thunder on Monday night. Nearly everyone had picked the Thunder to win this series, but most figured things would at least be mildly competitive throughout. As you can probably tell by the 119-90 final score – there was nothing competitive about what transpired last night. After the game, Kobe Bryant was understandably… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : Opposing Views Discovery Date : 15/05/2012 07:06 Number of articles : 3

Epic Local News Reporter Fail: I’m Stupid!

A local news reporter in New Haven, Connecticut got all kinds of tongue tied during a story last week, and what resulted was this embarrassing clip. On location outside an elementary school, she began to tell viewers about how two teachers are being investigated for … sorry, it’s a lot to remember! After blanking, she uttered “I’m stupid” before the anchors cut her off. To be fair to the poor girl, it’s possible this was a pre-recorded segment she shot and the producers used the wrong tape (of the failed take) instead of the final one. Whoever was responsible for this, nice work … Local News Reporter: I’m Stupid!

In full disclosure here. The vacation habits of the President and the First Family rank somewhere about 9,000,232,834,129 on my list of things I could really give a bleep about. We’re not living in the 20’s. The “presidency” goes wherever the president goes. He could be in a brothel in Brussels and I’m certain he’d could still conference in Biden from the next room and give Bill Clinton and Vlad Putin… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : REPUBLICAN REDEFINED Discovery Date : 13/04/2012 00:20 Number of articles : 2

Rihanna Ends Interview After Love-Life Questions

Pop star halts Australian interview when she’s asked about her personal life. By Kara Warner Rihanna Photo: Jon Furniss/ WireImage If there’s one thing to admire about Rihanna , it’s the way she speaks her mind on sensitive issues. But during a recent interview with a reporter from the Australian talk show “Sunrise,” RiRi apparently didn’t appreciate the line of questioning and abruptly ended their chat. Because Rihanna was in Australia to promote her upcoming movie “Battleship,” the conversation began with a discussion about her future in films and whether she’ll put her singing career on the back burner in favor of film. “I don’t see why I can’t do both,” she said. “If I love both, then I’ll do great at both. I love music, and after my first experience with movies, I can’t wait to do more.” One of those potential future films is tackling the coveted role of the late great Whitney Houston in an upcoming biopic , which Rihanna said would be a very emotional experience. “She’s been someone that I’ve looked up to for so long,” she said. “Her music is something that I’ve been very close to, so I guess it would be fulfilling as well as … a lot of pressure.” At this point in the interview the reporter brought up Rihanna’s public persona and the pressures and frustrations associated with having all your day-to-day activities reported in the news — specifically when tabloids and gossip websites speculate about Rihanna’s love life and link her to other celebs, like Ashton Kutcher . “[It’s] very frustrating,” Rihanna said, looking annoyed. “Almost as frustrating as being asked about it.” “Yeah, you don’t like going there?” the reporter asked in a diplomatic way. “I mean, what’s the point?” Rihanna responded. “Well people are interested in you, you’re a big star,” the reporter added. “They are. And they’re interested in a lot of things — a lot of things that don’t matter,” said a visibly irritated Rihanna. “Or shouldn’t.” The reporter added in voice-over at the end of the piece that the interview abruptly ended after Rihanna’s last comment. This isn’t the first time the topic of Rihanna’s love life has halted an interview. Last month in London, Rihanna chastised a reporter at a press conference for bringing up the Ashton rumors . “Wow, how disappointing was that question?” she asked in response. “I’m happy and I’m single, if that’s what you’re really asking.” What do you think about Rihanna’s reaction to the personal line of questioning? ‘Twins’ May Find Long-Lost Triplet In Eddie Murphy

Arnold Schwarzenegger and Danny DeVito may reunite for ‘Triplets,’ the sequel to the 1988 comedy ‘Twins.’ By Gil Kaufman Eddie Murphy Photo: Getty Images Some old movie franchises never die, they just go into the deep freeze for, oh, almost a quarter century. Case in point: “Twins.” Surely you remember the hit high-concept 1988 comedy starring then-huge actor Arnold Schwarzenegger and his half-sized “brother” Danny DeVito? The goofball premise had the two stumbling through wacky adventures, with the, ahem, intellectual, physically perfect Julius (Arnold) struggling to connect with his long-lost small-time crook fraternal twin bro Vincent (DeVito) after the pair were separated at birth. Bottom line: The movie grossed more than $200 million worldwide, and now, Universal Pictures is hoping to reboot the franchise nearly 25 years later. There is, of course, a new twist: Not only would the former California governor and the “It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia” star be reprising their roles, but they would find out that the mad scientists who created them also cooked up a third brother. Cue “Triplets,” with third comedic wheel Eddie Murphy. The Hollywood Reporter said no director is connected to the flick yet, but noted that original director Ivan Reitman, would be onboard as a producer through his Montecito Picture Co. banner. The backers are still looking for writers to work up a script, and while the actors are reportedly attached to star, the studios have not yet sat down to discuss the creative aspect of the project. The film could be a boon for Murphy, who is coming off yet another box-office bomb with the long-delayed “A Thousand Words,” while Schwarzenegger is still attempting to revive his acting career after two terms as California governor and a nasty split from his wife, Maria Shriver. DeVito has continued to appear in mostly under-the-radar films for the past five to six years, but has a solid hit on his hands at the moment as the voice of “The Lorax.”
