Last night was not a positive experience for Sean Lowe , as the former Bachelor was given the boot on this week’s Dancing with the Stars results show. After the standard Week 1 reprieve, and the surprise exit of Dorothy Hamill last week due to injury, Dancing With the Stars finally cut someone tonight. The contestants seemed to fall into upper, middle and lower tiers, but as always, the voters have the final word and can really throw you for a loop. With that said, let’s get down to the results, shall we? Andy Dick, Wynonna Judd and DL Hughley appeared to be the most vulnerable heading into the results show … but were they they actual bottom three? The dancer exiting stage left this week is … Wynonna. Who lost the most on the The Biggest Loser, in order to become this season’s winner? This NBC reality competition aired its finale last night, with Danni Allen going up against Jeff Nichols and Jackson Carter. Which finalist came out on top… of the scale, with the most pounds shed? Danni Allen! This advertising account coordinator and Illinois native lost an incredible 121 pounds overall, going from 258 pounds to 121 pounds. That’s 46.9 percent of her body weight gone! Gushing over her appearance even before the final weigh-in (“At the end of the day, look at me,” she beamed), Allen hugged trainer Jillian Michaels as confetti poured down after the results were announced. Elsewhere, Carter – the first openly gay contestant in Biggest Loser history – finished third, while Gina McDonald earned $100,000 by losing a bigger percentage than any of the other eliminated contestants this season. Less than 11 hours after creator Rob Thomas and star Kristen Bell asked fans to donate to Kickstarter in order to fund a Veronica Mars movie , the project has reached its 30-day goal of $2 million… in under 11 hours! “My mind is blown,” Thomas tells EW of the results. “I’ve been fantasizing about this taking big and had to tell myself, ‘Stop it, Rob, you’re being silly. You’re setting yourself up for disappointment.’ “And now today has exceeded the wildest pipe dream I let myself entertain. Holy cow. We better make a good movie. These amazing fans have stepped up. We better deliver.” Veronica Mars was canceled by UPN in 2007 and starred Bell as a high school student/amateur private investigator. The film will go into production this summer and be released some time in 2014, with Warner Bros. Digital Distribution having agreed to pick up the tab for marketing, promotion and distribution.
LeAnn Rimes is opening up about her feud with Eddie Cibrian’s ex, The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills’ Brandi Glanville, calling it ridiculous and one-sided. “It’s a very one-sided war,” she told Entertainment Tonight . “Actually, it’s funny. I write things sometimes that I end up erasing because I just need to write it to get it out. And then I’m like, ‘I really should not post that.’ At least I have a filter.” LeAnn Rimes on Brandi Glanville, Eddie Cibrian The feud between the two women, which began with Rimes and Cibrian’s affair that broke up both of their marriages in 2009, has been in overdrive lately. Things heated up in November when Rimes referred to Eddie’s two sons with Cibrian as “[my] boys.” The next day, Brandi Glanville came back at her, tweeting: “Someone is trying 2 get under my skin by calling MY children ‘her boys’ Sooo transparent! They R MY boys, Eddie’s Boys and ur step-sons … 4 now.” LeAnn’s response was similar to what she expressed at the time. Calling it “pretty ridiculous” and explaining that she was just expressing how much she cares. “My heart overflows with love for those two boys,” she said. Mason, 9, and Jake, 5, are “with us half the time. I am never going to let a child walk into my house and not feel the love that they feel at their mom’s house.” While that’s perfectly reasonable and almost certainly true, did she also publicize it on Twitter to get in a dig at Brandi? That we will never truly know. In any case, it’s been a wild couple of years for Rimes. LeAnn and Eddie met in 2009 and had an affair while they were both married to other people (Cibrian to Glanville and Rimes to Dean Sheremet). Rimes and Cibrian wed in April 2011. According to The New York Post : The latest edition of the a research journal has challenged the stereotype that adult film actresses have poor self-images and a history of sexual abuse. A report suggests that the stars have higher self-esteem, a better quality of life and body image, and are more spiritual than their non-adult entertainment counterparts. Researchers at Pennsylvania’s Shippensburg University, Texas Woman’s University and the Adult Industry Medical Healthcare Foundation compared 177 porn actresses to a sample of women matched on age, ethnicity, and marital status. Comparisons were based on intimate behaviors and attitudes, self-esteem, quality of life and drug use. Sun News reports that the actresses in the study had all been paid to work on at least one adult film movie and ranged in age from 18 to 50. Their average career in the industry was 3.5 years. Results showed that the adult film actresses were more likely to say they enjoyed intercourse — no surprise there — but perhaps contrary to popular notions, adult film stars weren’t any more likely to have had endured abuse than those in the control group. However, some of the results confirmed popular stereotypes. For example, the actresses reported using more drugs than the control group while they also reported having intercourse for the first time at a younger age (15) than the control group (17). “Stereotypes of those involved in adult entertainment have been used to support or condemn the industry and to justify political views on adult films, although the actual characteristics of actresses are unknown because no study on this group of women has been conducted,” the report said. The study has been dismissed by feminist commentator Dawn Foster, however, who says the results have disregarded some of the adult industry’s seedier aspects. “It is dangerous to generalize about a huge industry: women who are successful and in control of their careers in one pocket don’t speak for women in the less scrutinized parts,” Foster said in the Independent. “The study’s main objective seems to be to prove that not all women in adult films are exploited: no one has argued that.
