B.o.B Is Living The Dream In ‘Magic’ Video — Watch It Here!

Upstart VMA-nominee is joined by Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo at raging house party in new clip. By Jayson Rodriguez Rivers Cuomo and B.o.B Photo: Tim Mosenfelder/ Getty Images You can’t blame B.o.B if he wanted to pinch himself. The VMA-nominated newcomer is riding an enormous wave via his debut album, The Adventures of Bobby Ray, which has spawned three consecutive top 10 singles, “Nothin’ on You,” “Airplanes” and his latest, “Magic.” And for his “Magic” clip, the Atlanta rapper recruited director Sanaa Hamri (Jay-Z, Christina Aguilera) who put B.o.B in the middle of a raucous house party. But in the video, which premiered Thursday (September 2) at midnight on MTV.com, Bobby Ray can’t seem to believe his good fortune, As he and his “Magic” collaborator, Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo , jam in the backyard, B.o.B mentally traces back to earlier in the day when the young rapper first wakes up. B.o.B tries to shake awake a sleeping version of himself but to no avail. The girls, the party, all the happenings do seem to be going on — and all for him. Partygoers run through the house and Bobby Ray snaps pictures with the girl of his dreams. But in an instant — as quick as he’s been clicking Polaroid pictures — the party is over and B.o.B awakens. Turns out he was dreaming. The sleep-eyed MC, however, takes a look around his bedroom and notices two photos on the ground: two snapshots of him and his leading lady. He’s got the magic, indeed. Last week, “Magic” landed on the Billboard Hot 100 at the #10 position. The track follows “Nothin’ on You,” which went to the top of the chart, and “Airplanes,” a top 5 hit. Also on Thursday, B.o.B opened for Eminem and Jay-Z during the superstar MCs’ Home and Home concert series in Detroit; he’s scheduled to open for the pair again on Friday (September 3), and later this month in New York. Weezer’s ‘Memories’ Video: Watch Exclusive On-Set Footage!

‘Jackass’ guys guest-star in the nostalgic clip. By James Montgomery Weezer’s Rivers Cuomo Photo: MTV News It’s somewhat fitting that Weezer recruited the “Jackass” guys to guest-star in their upcoming “Memories” video. After all, it’s very much a song about looking back on the good ol’ days — back when Audioslave was still Rage and, strangely enough, Johnny Knoxville and company used to run almost exclusively with Rivers Cuomo’s crew. “Yeah, Weezer and ‘Jackass,’ in a way, we go back a long way, since before any of us were successful,” Cuomo told MTV News on the set of the video. “[In] ’91, ’92, we were hanging out together in Hollywood, Johnny Knoxville was known as ‘PJ’ back then, and I remember playing basketball with him a lot back then. He was like this good-looking, aspiring-actor guy, but for some reason, he was super sweet and nice to me, which I thought was interesting. He had nice manners.” “I used to play tennis with Johnny Knoxville,” Weezer drummer Pat Wilson added. “He nicknamed me ‘the Albatross’ because I had the long wingspan. I would always get to the ball. He wasn’t very good.” Luckily, there was no basketball — or tennis — being played last month in Sun Valley, California, where Weezer and the “Jackass” guys got together to film the “Memories” clip. But there was a whole lot of skateboarding (and screwing around), as Knoxville, Ryan Dunn, Chris Pontius, Wee-Man, Steve-O and the rest of the maniacs gave it their all: skating in an empty pool, wiping out, nearly killing themselves and — in one key scene — actually subbing for the guys in Weezer during a performance of the song. Filmed by “Jackass” vet Jeff Tremaine (on what appear to be Super 8 cameras), the video has a lo-fi, reckless vibe, recalling the old skate videos where Knoxville and his cohorts first rose to fame. It was all pretty amazing, to be honest. And now, thanks to the good folks at Weezer’s brand-new home, Epitaph Records, you can check out some behind-the-scenes footage from the making of the “Memories” video, right now. It’s fairly high-impact, so make sure you’re wearing your helmet. Safety first, after all. Does the behind-the-scenes footage have you amped for the “Memories” video? Let us know in the comments! Like a Good Neighbor, the Clean Air Act is There

Since 1970, the Clean Air Act has been the EPA’s most effective tool for combating air pollution. When it was first enacted, the Clean Air Act only covered five pollutants. But over the last 40 years it has been amended to protect the public from dozens of additional dangerous pollutants. But air pollution doesn’t stop at state lines, and as a result people throughout the country are forced to breathe unhealthy air. EPA’s proposed Good Neighbor Rule will help states be good neigh… Read the full story on TreeHugger

Lindsay Lohan Tweets For First Time Since Rehab

Actress blasts paparazzi in her return to Twitter. By Mawuse Ziegbe Lindsay Lohan Photo: Dave McNew/ Getty Images After a fairly rough summer, Lindsay Lohan is getting back into the swing of things. The actress, who left rehab Tuesday after spending 23 days in court-ordered treatment, has returned to Twitter . In her first tweet as a free woman, Lohan targeted some familiar foes: paparazzi. “Clearly.. Paparazzi shouldn’t be allowed to take pictures or video while someone’s driving or at a stop light. 4every1’s sake #trafficpolice,” the starlet tweeted Thursday (August 26). Just like her constantly changing hair color and shenanigans behind the wheel, Lohan’s run-ins with photogs have marked her years in an unrelenting spotlight. A car crash that Lohan claimed was the fault of an overzealous snapper partly inspired a California law aimed at cracking down on eager paparazzi. In her return to the social-networking site, Lohan appears to have revisited her tradition of oversharing and antagonizing others via the Web. The actress’ turbulent relationship with ex-girlfriend Samantha Ronson played out in front of millions of viral fans, with both ladies typing swipes at each other. More recently, bawdy comedienne Joan Rivers went after Lohan on Twitter before the actress began her stint in jail. Lohan has also blasted her publicity-hungry father, Michael, on the site as well. Even if Lohan has taken up her viral antics once again, many have hope the actress can bounce back from her recent troubles. “I feel like people in the film industry are rooting for her,” film critic Ryan Gilbey recently told MTV News . “[Director Quentin] Tarantino has been saying great, supportive things about her and how brilliant she’s in this movie he’s produced [‘Machete’].” Indeed, her “Machete” co-stars have been beaming about Lohan’s performance in the flick. “I wish her all the best. I mean, she’s a talented young actress,” Cheech Marin told MTV News at the film’s premiere. “Hopefully, she won’t let her personal life overwhelm her professional life. … At some point, you gotta be responsible.” “She’s so good in this movie,” Jessica Alba added of “Machete.” “I can’t wait for people to see [her in] it.” Are you happy Lindsay Lohan is tweeting again? Canada’s Lost Salmon Return in Droves

Image credit: Hemera/Thinkstock Every year, sockeye salmon return to the rivers of western Canada to make their arduous upstream journey to calmer spawning grounds. It is a seasonal touchstone that signifies the approaching end of summer, one that has been observed for centuries. The only problem is that some years, like in 2009, the salmon don’t return….
