‘I really just choose things instinctually,’ the ‘Eclipse’ star tells MTV News. She’s the female lead in one of the most successful movie franchises of all time. She’s managed to continue to do work in smaller films. And she pretty much has her pick of any film she’d like to do next. But the “Eclipse” star said all she’s focused on next in her career is not having to really focus on anything. “I feel less [career pressure] because I’m in such a stellar position,” she told MTV News. “I feel really indulgent, like I feel it’s really cool to be able to say, ‘I don’t know [what I’m doing] for the next couple years.’ I’m gonna focus on being an actor. Like, I want to make movies and stuff.” Stewart does have some projects lined up, including the “Breaking Dawn” flicks and “On the Road,” but she’s not worried about her otherwise-clear docket. “I want to do other stuff, but right now, it’s really cool just being like, ‘I don’t know what I’m going to do next year, but this year I’m doing this.’ I’m doing ‘On the Road’ and ‘Breaking Dawn,’ and that’s all that I know that I’m doing.” Stewart’s next big career choices will be made the way all her other decisions are: from her gut. “I’m not good at planning out my career,” she said. “But if I was, I’d probably feel pressure, but because I don’t and I really just choose things instinctually, I’m not worried about it.” We’ll be live at the L.A. premiere of “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse” on Thursday, June 24.
