Robert Pattinson Eyes Future James Bond Role

There could be a new cold-blooded young buck waiting in the wings to play 007 if and when Daniel Craig is over his stint in the role. Heartthrob Robert Pattinson is eyeing the future post- Twilight and has dabbled recently with roles in Bel Ami (which didn’t do so spectacularly at the box office) and Cosmopolis which opens in the U.S. next month, but failed to whip up a frenzy in Canada where it opened last month. Still, the dashing actor packs some fan-base mojo and James Bond could be a place down the line and the actor has taken a peek. He told British paper The Sun that he’d like to play the character that the likes of Pierce Brosnan, Timothy Dalton, Roger Moore and Sean Connery have traversed before, though he said he’d have to wait until he’s in his 40s. “Yeah, I’d definitely like to go for Bond, but in more like 20 years,” said 26 year-old Pattinson. “There’d be nothing worse than, like, ‘let’s get a fresh-faced Bond.’ That would be the worst idea in the world. It would be ridiculous to reinvent it as some young posh kid.” He paid tribute to the current reigning Bond, noting, “After Daniel Craig, you have to have some baggage. I’d have to be tortured in the first few scenes. I’d have to do the first film with one arm or something.” Apparently, the actor is even looking to do a series of Bonds… But with two decades to go, Pattinson will have time to get into 007 shape, which he admitted is not quite up to par (though his loyal fans may disagree). “I’ve got to make up for 10 years of living like a degenerate. I’ve suddenly become conscious of being unhealthy,” he said. “You’ve spent every bit of free time since the age of 15 in a pub. And suddenly you’re like, ‘Oh God, I don’t want to be this grey ghost sitting there with a pot belly.’ I’ve got to get it together.” [Source: The Sun ]

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Prep for "Wedding of the Year"

The red and black roses! The gorgeous emerald ring! The In-N-Out burgers! That’s right, folks, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart are inviting A-list guests such as Katy Perry and Charlize Theron to their upcoming nuptials, which the latest issue of OK! Weekly dubs the Wedding of the Year in a cover story that can only be described as… existing. Clearly wanting to show up Miley Cyrus and Liam Hemsworth , the magazine’s totally not made up insider says Pattinson is penning a song for Stewart and “plans to perform it for her on the vintage Fender guitar she bought him for Christmas last year” during their reception. Where might the event take place? Brazil, claims the source, adding that “Rob and Kristen want their wedding to be beautiful and meaningful – but not so over planned that it chokes all the joy out of it.” Well, sure. That would ruin any imaginary wedding.

Dina Lohan to Produce Broadway-Based Reality Show

If you were thinking that a reality TV mash-up of NBC’s Smash and Disney’s High School Musical would be great … you have odd, specific taste in entertainment. Dina Lohan apparently agrees with you, though. For reasons unknown, someone signed her to produce an unsold documentary series along those very lines. Lohan’s new project promises to chronicle the real-life journey of launching a Broadway musical from “page to stage,” as well as all the behind-the-scenes drama. “There is nothing more important to me than a parent standing behind their child and helping them fulfill their dreams,” Dina told Celebuzz , apparently without irony. Production for the series begins soon and will run through the summer. It will take the audience “behind the scenes of The White Plains (N.Y.) Performing Arts Center’s theatre company,” with producers promising to take the audience “on a roller coaster adventure.” We absolutely can not wait. In other family news, Ali Lohan’s too thin and Lindsay is being sued for stiffing a tanning salon out of $40,000. The number of zeroes there is correct. [Photo: WENN.com]

Twilight Director to Robert Pattinson: Don’t Date Kristen Stewart!

If Catherine Hardwicke had her way, Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart might never have gotten together. For real! While it’s nearly impossible now to imagine R. Patt without his K. Stew – just watch this adorable video of Robsten cuddling and kissing ! – the Twilight director tells Elle Magazine that she noticed chemistry right away between the potential co-stars… and feared its consequences. “Rob and Kristen sat down at the table and did the biology scene,” Hardwicke said of Pattinson’s audition. “I felt the sparks. I could see the attraction. Kristen was very vocal – she knew she had the strongest connection with Rob. I said, ‘Let me have a day to see if it translates to the screen.'” We all know it did, of course. But Robert was 21 at the time and Kristen only 17, which led Hardwicke to warn her handsome leading man: ‘She’s underage, don’t even think about it! It’s a law in our country.'” Fortunately, Pattinson and Stewart evaded the police until the latter turned 18 and have been happily dating ever since.
