Talk is cheap. Or, at least, not as illuminating as actual photos. Soon after Kristen Stewart and co-stars spoke to Comic-Con fans about their roles in next year’s Snow White and the Huntsman , Universal has released a few promotional shots of various cast members taking in various iconic fairy tale characters. It looks like Stewart is leaving Bella Swan far behind, for example: Check out a photo of Theron as The Evil Queen NOW and let us know: Will you go see Snow White and the Huntsman ?
The agency Production baobab announced on Friday that voice actress Tomoko Kawakami passed away on Thursday, June 9 at 4:45 p.m. after a long bout with illness. She was 41. Let’s hear it for Jonah Hill! The newly thin comedy star has taken to his official Twitter account like a duck to water — or like an impostor to Twitter , as the case may sometimes be — offering fans a peek behind the curtain at the making of 21 Jump Street . On Tuesday’s docket: The firing range. “Let’s shoot some bad guys, motherf***er!” Hill wrote . Click ahead to see the slightly NSFW picture of Hill, post-bad guys-shooting. (This is assuming that flipping someone the bird is not suitable for your office.)
While his castmates Amy Adams, Christian Bale, and Melissa Leo got Oscar nominations for their roles in The Fighter (out this week in a Blu-Ray/DVD combo pack from Paramount Home Entertainment) — with the latter two winning the trophy — Mark Wahlberg’s performance went unheralded. (He did, however, share in the film’s Best Picture nod as one of its producers.) But given the larger-than-life quality that Bale and Leo, in particular, brought to their roles, it seemed like an intentional call on the part of Wahlberg and director David O. Russell to let Wahlberg’s on-screen personality recede a bit so the spotlight could shine elsewhere. Still, he’s just fine in the film, and it inspired me to think of the sublime (and the ridiculous) turns he’s had elsewhere — and no, we’re not counting The Marky Mark Workout in either category.

For a Hollywood actress, the ultimate double shot is being nominated for two acting Oscars in the same year (unless you’re Lindsay Lohan , in which case the ultimate double shot is lifting two bottles of tequila at Discount Liquor Mart). Here’s a sampling of our favorite ladies who’ve received this rare honor: Ravishing redhead Julianne Moore is the most recent nominee on our list, nominated in 2002 for her roles in Far from Heaven and The Hours . But you have to go back all the way to 1993 for a glimpse of her famous firecrotch (and buns) in Short Cuts . Also in 1993, Holly Hunter received two nominations for her roles in The Firm and The Piano . We get firm thinking about tinkling Holly’s ivories, shown here in glorious rear view in The Piano . Icy British beauty Emma Thompson was nominated the same year for her roles in The Remains of the Day and In the Name of the Father . Mr. Skin will spend the remains of this day reminiscing about Emma’s rack in The Tall Guy (1989) . 5’10” glamazon Sigourney Weaver was nominated in 1988 for her roles in Gorillas in the Mist and Working Girl . Sigourney didn’t show her beaver in those films, though she played a lady of the night in Working Girl , but she graciously compensated by flashing full frontal in A Map of the World (2000) . Mr. Skin’s favorite pair still comes in mammary form, but we’re willing to be flexible for you, ladies! Stay tuned for more Academy-Award winning nudity all this week on the Mr. Skin blog !
Of all the roles that Christian Slater has played in his 30-year career, one of his most beloved remains Clarence Worley, the comic book store clerk who falls for a cute call girl in True Romance . So it is ironic that when Movieline asked the actor — who stars in Fox’s upcoming workplace comedy Breaking In — to play a round of Movieline’s go-to parlor game last week, Slater described the big screen romance that rang truest to him. Hint: There ain’t gonna be no re-match for this very special round of My Favorite Scene.
