New death threats made against Chris Brown have prompted Los Angeles Police Department officials to open an investigation, according to reports. Multiple death threats were called in to the office of Brown’s attorney, Mark Geragos, took them seriously enough to contact the LAPD about this. The caller(s) threatened Chris’ life. It’s unclear how specifically. Geragos turned over all the information he had on the calls. He filled out a report and the LAPD is on the case, but there are no suspects at this time. It’s unclear who would want to kill Chris Brown, though Ricky Romance and Raz B once threatened to, and there is the whole house graffiti situation. Then there’s the list of people who may have a bone to pick with him. Jenny Johnson, Miranda Lambert, Drake, Meek Mill, Frank Ocean, that valet at the bowling alley, Rihanna, Karrueche … we could go on and on. We’re just kidding. Mostly. Who do you think is behind it?

Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have broken up, according to a new report. People confirmed the split today, though reps for the two could not be reached. The news comes amid myriad reports that they’ve been having “difficulties.” Guess that was true, to say the least. “Priorities” were said to be the issue. Whatever that means. Still, all hope may not be lost for the duo. Insiders say they are still “in love” and may eventually get back together again. Prior to Rob’s 27th birthday this week, during which he allegedly ditched out on plans with Kristen, the pair appeared to be still on and going strong. They were seen at NYC’s MET Gala, and then flew back to L.A. May 8. They recently celebrated K-Stew’s 23rd birthday and held hands at Coachella. Following last summer’s ordeal – her cheating with Rupert Sanders and issuing a public apology – Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart worked things out. With the exception of Stewart’s admission of her fling, the two never publicly addressed their romance, and things appeared to be totally back to normal. So much for that. Now the most buzzed-about and clicked-on couple in sports is official in a way that only a joint red carpet appearance can make you official. Take a look: Lindsey Vonn and Tiger Woods were guests of Vogue at the high-fashion NYC soiree. It is known in the couture industry as the “night of nights” or something along those lines. In any case, the world’s #1 golfer looked happy to be there, and with his new girlfriend. Understandable, as she was the second hottest SI cover girl there after Kate Upton .
After Midnight , anyone? The Richard Linklater -directed Before Midnight doesn’t premiere at the Tribeca Film Festival until 6 pm. on Monday, but an hour before curtain time the filmmaker hinted that a fourth film in a sequence that began with Before Sunrise in 1995 and Before Sunset in 2004, was not out of the question. Linklater joined the co-stars of the latest installment of his realistic romance, Ethan Hawke and Julie Delpy , at the Tribeca Talks Directors series , and one of the final questions asked of the director was whether the third film was intended to tie up the romance between the American Jesse (Hawke) and the French Céline (Delpy) 18 years after they met on a train traveling to Vienna. In the third film, Jesse and Celine are not just together they have two daughters in tow as they vacation and bicker in romantic Greece. Watch the trailer and then I’ll get to Linklater’s response: Ode to a Grecian Yearn Linklater answered the festival goer’s question by responding that Before Midnight was about capturing “that moment” in Céline and Jesse’s lives. “It wasn’t a summation. It’s definitely not a final vibe,” he said, before adding his own twist on a spoiler: “They’re both still alive at the end of the movie…There might be another one. Who knows?” But, he concluded that he and his cast didn’t have to think about it for at least another five years or so. This could be good news for fans of the film series, which has a die-hard following thanks to its warts-and-all approach to romance and relationships. If the film is as good as the early buzz indicates, the sequel could be inevitable and not take nine years to come out. Oddly enough, although a nine-year time span separates the first and second and then the second and third movies, Linklater told festival goers that Before Midnight was scheduled to shoot this coming summer but production was moved up when the three collaborators realized that they each had openings in their schedules last summer. The symmetrical nine-year space between the movies “was kind of a coincidence,” Linklater said. The ratings may not be there on American Idol Season 12. But the talent is very much present. With Janelle Arthur being eliminated this week, we are down to the final four – and any one of Candice Glover, Amber Holcomb, Kree Harrison and Angie Miller could take the grand prize next week. Who do we think deserves it? Once again, THG presents our American Idol Power Poll below, ranking the finalists from fourth to first… 4. Amber Holcomb. While her performance of ” What Are You Doing For The Rest of Your Life ” was technically flawless, it was old and a sleepy way to end the night. Amber struggles with the up-tempo numbers and isn’t as versatile as the other girls. 3. Kree Harrison . Kree falls to three this week after seeming disengaged during “She Talks To Angels.” Something just seemed off about her this week and we can’t quite put our finger on what it was. 2. Angie Miller . Angie behind the piano is a can’t-lose and her cover of Beyonce’s ” Halo ” had everything that Amber’s (from the previous week) didn’t. Energy, emotion, and excellence. This was a great week for Angie. 1. Candice Glover . Her arrangement of “Straight Up” made the song fresh and cool and ” When You Believe “? Well, after that performance the song should be retired from the Idol catalog. It’s unlikely anyone else will ever do it any better than Candice did. Unless we’re talking about Mariah herself, of course.
Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, the 19-year-old suspect in the Boston Marathon bombing suspect captured last night, remains in serious condition as of this morning. He is being treated Beth Israel Deaconess Hospital in Boston after being taken into custody in Watertown, Mass., and being transported via ambulance. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev was found hiding in a boat in the driveway of David Henneberry, who grew suspicious after he saw its tarp flapping in the wind. Henneberry went out to investigate when frustrated police lifted the town’s lockdown order around 6 p.m., and he noticed that the tarp had been cut. A closer inspection revealed it was stained with blood. Henneberry investigated further and, according to his stepson, “basically stuck his head under the tarp (and) noticed a pool of blood,” then called 911. Boston Bombing Suspect Shootout in Watertown That’s when law enforcement helicopters, cars and agents swarmed the property and cautiously approached Tsarnaev, who was taken alive around 9 p.m. Authorities reportedly fired on the boat (see video above), but likely only used “flash-bang” rounds in order to disorient the potentially armed suspect. Tsarnaev was not read his Miranda rights because the authorities invoked – or plan to invoke – the “public safety exception” to question him extensively. It’s unclear the extent to which this has occurred yet, but the U.S. Attorney’s Office wants to know about any potential explosive devices or accomplices. Dzhokhar Tsarnaev’s brother, Tamerlan Tsarnaev, 26, died in a gunfight with police early Friday morning, after which his younger sibling escaped. Story developing …
It started with a flight to Norway . Then there was a Selena Gomez sighting backstage at a Justin Bieber concert in Oslo this week. And now comes confirmation that these two lovebirds really are back together: They were just spotted kissing in Norway!!! “They were holding hands, hugging and they kissed on the lips ,” an insider tells People of the pair overseas. “They looked really in love, like no fights ever happened before. It definitely looked like they were back together.” Justin and Selena broke up in late 2012, but those in the know have said they’ve been keeping in touch. Some have even claimed Gomez was torturing Bieber with constant phone calls and texts, despite her unwillingness to actually be his lady again. But now that appears to have changed. We’ll have plenty more on the rekindling of this romance when more news breaks, but in the meantime: EEEK!
It’s The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills “Finale” where one marriage ends while another is celebrated. We recap all of the obstacles to romance in our THG +/- review. We’re back to the Ken and Lisa’s vow renewal party where Faye can’t seem to keep her big mouth shut. Minus 20 because I’m still wondering why Faye’s even here. Did she crash? Did Kyle invite her? Did Bravo sneak her an invitation to make sure there’d be more drama? All I wanted to see was Lisa kick Faye out on her rear but I never got my wish. Minus 15. Lisa said she considered it but didn’t because Faye was Kyle’s friend. Which was pretty clear considering Kyle couldn’t stop defending the nasty Housewife wannabe. Plus 12 to Yolanda who pegged Faye right away. She keeps complaining about Brandi spreading malicious gossip…while Faye herself makes it her duty to spread malicious gossip. But let’s get back to the romance….oh wait. Not quite yet. Because in the middle of it all Adrienne Maloof shows up, teary eyed, sans makeup and looking for attention. Minus 18. I had to disagree with Ken on this one. With the ladies descending on Adrienne the moment she walked in the door and the tear fest beginning, I really couldn’t blame her for not seeking out Lisa. On the flip side I couldn’t blame Lisa for not heading straight to Adrienne’s side considering she was hosting an entire party at the time and she would have gotten sucked into the drama…and killed the romantic mood. Minus 10. I couldn’t fault Adrienne for the waterworks but when she said “The kids want me to be there.” all I could think was then why are you at this party? Shocker of the night…that Paul was the one that filed for separation. Who saw that coming? And plus 25 to Taylor for the line of the night. “He was dressed like a tree last time I looked so maybe he’s lost his marbles.” With the romantic mood completely blown to bits, Lisa retreats to her bedroom and Brandi proves what a good friend she really is. Plus 20 for reminding Lisa that this party is about her and Ken and their family and how lucky they are. Besides, Ken would be heartbroken if Lisa bailed now. Did you see the wedding pictures from 30 years ago? Lisa’s dress was all 1980s poof while Ken looked exactly the same. Did the man find the fountain of youth? His hair certainly did. Ken renewed his vow to obey his wife. Good man. Plus 30. And when he told Lisa, “I’ve always loved you but probably never deserved you.” there wasn’t a dry eye in the house. Then Lisa countered with, “I am the woman I am today because I’ve grown up with you” reminding us all that she was only 21 when she married her husband. With one marriage ending, it was nice to see that true love can win out. At the finale’s end we learned that…. -Yolanda’s battling Lyme disease. -Kyle’s fashion sense gets worse with every season. -Taylor’s dating her already married attorney. What could go wrong there? -Adrienne’s dating Rod Stewart’s 32 year old son but Paul can beat that. He’s dating a 27 year old former Miss Nevada. -Brandi’s celebrated her 40th birthday at SUR. For some reason Paul was invited. No surprise that Adrienne was not. And now on to the brawl….er make that the reunion show next. Episode total = +24! Season total = -246!
The Bachelor’s Sean Lowe and Catherine Giudici are not only convinced they’ve found everlasting love on ABC, they’re planning on getting married fast! They’re also planning on tying the knot Bachelor style. Televised. “It’s just fitting,” Sean Lowe says of fast-tracking a TV wedding. We’re sure it is, but that it’s also motivated by two factors: ABC paying them an ass ton of money to do so. His unwillingness to get it in before marriage. That will light a fire under them for sure! In any case, Catherine Giudici, 26, says she can’t wait to wed ASAP: “Everything in our relationship has been documented so far. It’s right for us!” Sean, 29, actually proposed in Thailand four months ago. Now that they can now finally proclaim their love after The Bachelor finale , expect it to grow even stronger as they both bask in the bliss, they say. Said Sean last night on the After the Final Rose special: “We’ve been harboring this secret for so long. We just want some normalcy, to go out to eat, hold hands and do all the things that couples do!” “We don’t have a wedding date yet,” he adds, “But we’ve kicked around a lot of ideas , most of which are silly and fun. We just want it to be a big party.” Silly and fun, as fans know, were two traits that won Cat the final rose over Lindsay Yenter, AshLee Frazier and Bachelorette-to-be Desiree Hartsock . “I just love being around her,” The Bachelor gushes. “We had the friendship as well as the romance. I love her so much. I know this is meant to be.” Following the proposal, Lowe and Giudici kept up communication through text messages, phone calls and Skype, and a few incognito rendezvous. “Every one or two weekends we would get to meet up and be locked up in a house somewhere,” says Lowe, 29. “We loved every minute of it!” Man.
