Katy Perry Talks ‘Gorgeous’ Video For ‘Teenage Dream’

‘I got to cast all my friends,’ writes singer, who shot the sexy clip in her California hometown. By Jocelyn Vena Josh Kloss and Katy Perry on the set of her “Teenage Dream” music video Photo: Eric Ford/Danny Mayer/ On Location News Katy Perry has made it known that she wants to be “one of those … teenage wet dreams,” and her “California Gurls” video has certainly set the bar high for the singer, who is set to release her new album, Teenage Dream, next month. So for “Teenage Dream,” the album’s second single, Perry headed to the beach. In photos taken from the video shoot for the title track, Perry is seen canoodling with a hot guy in a hotel pool in her hometown of Santa Barbara, California. The guy is rumored to be actor Josh Kloss. In another still, leaked online , a bikini-clad Perry is kneeling in the sand, looking up at a scantily clad man, presumably Kloss. Perry tweeted about the clip as well, writing , “Cut, copy, print, moving on! That’s a wrap for Teenage Dream! So gorgeous, I really can’t wait to see what [director] Yoann Lemoine makes of it all!!! In my hometown. I got to cast all my friends in the new music vid for Teenage Dream = amazing insanity.” Previewed at a listening party last month, the radio-friendly title track picks up right where “California Gurls” leaves off. With a strong beat to back her up, Perry sings about a boy who makes her feel like a teenager again. “I wrote that song in Santa Barbara and it was a very pure moment for me, because that’s where I’m from,” she told MTV News in early June. “And it was, like, where I started my creative juices. And also it kind of exudes this euphoric feeling because everybody remembers what their teenage dreams were — all the girls that were on your poster walls.” Are you excited to see the new video from Katy Perry? Justin Bieber Beats Lady Gaga In YouTube Video Popularity — For Now …

‘Baby’ has surpassed ‘Bad Romance’ in views, but the battle continues. By Gil Kaufman Justin Bieber Photo: Mark Von Holden/ WireImage Lady Gaga has been on an epic, record-setting tear, packing ’em in at concerts, selling millions of records and recently smashing previous marks for downloads, Facebook fans and total online video views . But a girl can’t have it all, right? After a heated battle, Gaga went down in rare defeat on Thursday, when Justin Bieber surpassed her to set a record for the most-watched music video in YouTube history. At press time, Bieber’s “Baby” collabo with Ludacris had logged 245,746,720 views, pushing past Gaga’s epic “Bad Romance” clip, which was not far behind with 245,596,709. Now, given Gaga’s rabid fanbase of little monsters, there’s no doubt this pitched battle will continue and perhaps see a few more lead changes, but for now, the Biebs has emerged victorious. Bieber, in the midst of doctor-imposed vocal rest while on tour, reacted to the news with delight, tweeting on Thursday, “what is goin on with the ‘Baby’ video on YouTube is crazy … I started on YouTube so the support … well I just need to say thank u.” Showing he was raised right and is a good sport, he followed that tweet with a flip of his bowl cut to his rival, writing, “someone just showed me and I just need to say that @ladygaga is an incredible artist who have great respect 4. And her vid is incredible … so it doesn’t matter who has more views, what matters is that we have incredible fans that support us … that I’m sure we are both grateful 4.” Then again, winning feels kinda sweet, so he did do a bit of Twitter victory lap. “So thanks … like I said, I started on YouTube so … WOW!! Love u and wish u all the best in each and every one of ur lives. Thanks Beliebers!” And in case the race got close again, his next post was a link to the video. Trailing way behind on the list of most-watched music videos on YouTube are: Miley Cyrus’ “Party in the U.S.A.” (138.6 million), Pitbull’s “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” (131.8 million), Miley Cyrus’ “7 Things” (125.2 million), Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” (117 million), Shakira’s “Waka Waka (This Time for Africa)” (101.7 million), Miley Cyrus’ “The Climb” (100.1 million), Vanessa Hudgens’ “Say OK” (89.1 million) and Timbaland and OneRepublic’s “Apologize” (87.4 million). Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin: No Sex Until Marriage!

Most of the time, when a couple vows to remain abstinent until marriage, the guy hasn’t already knocked up the girl, broken up with her, trashed her mom in the media, posed nude in Playgirl, then rekindled the romance during custody negotiations. But hey, whatever works for Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin ! America’s favorite unwed, single teen mom and her once-estranged baby daddy surprised us by getting back together last month, then flat-out floored us with news that they are now engaged, and planning on tying the knot soon. Like real soon. By the end of August! Levi and Bristol say they hope to get married in the next six weeks, and due to her abstinence pledge , won’t be having sex again until after they say “I do.” No word if there will be protection involved at that time, or if they simply don’t believe in that. Tripp is really cute, he’d probably be an awesome big brother. The best part, aside from the abstinence thing, is that they say they didn’t tell her mom, Republican political heavyweight Sarah Palin, about the engagement. Instead, they told Us Weekly, who broke the story earlier this morning, hoping that it was one of the “variety of sources” the former Alaska Governor reads. As for the wedding, they’ll be getting married in Alaska , natch. According to sources, she wants Levi to wear a camouflage vest, too. That may not be a joke. Regarding those nude Playgirl photos that sparked so much controversy … Bristol Palin claims she hasn’t seen them and chalks it up to “Levi’s old life.” It ran in February. Just saying.

‘The Hills’ Stars Lauren Conrad, Brody Jenner Recall ‘Amazing’ Moments

‘I think it was Paris,’ LC tells MTV News of her second-chance trip to France in season three. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Tim Kash Lauren Conrad Photo: John Shearer/WireImage The cast of “The Hills” shed countless tears over boys and broken friendships during the six seasons the hit show aired on MTV. But it wasn’t all downs for the reality-TV stars; they had plenty of ups too, including the trips they got to take. When Lauren Conrad returned to the aftershow party to celebrate the “Hills” finale Tuesday night, she said one getaway in particular had become her favorite moment. “I think it was Paris,” LC told MTV News about the season-three trip she took with fellow Teen Vogue intern Whitney Port. It was an opportunity that she’d previously passed on to spend more time with her then-boyfriend Jason Wahler. “It was just this amazing moment that we got to get dressed up in gowns and attend a ball and take a motorcycle ride around Paris. “And it was just this crazy experience for the both of us,” she added. “I think that that I will always remember as my favorite moment on ‘The Hills.’ ” While Conrad remembered the romance of Paris, another onetime beau of LC’s, Brody Jenner fondly recalled his own (many, many, many) romances. “Fondest memory? Kissing all the girls, man. Why not?” he laughed. After all was said and done though, LC was happy with how the show came to an end. “I think it’s sad, but I think they had a great run,” she said. “They went on for so long. I think it’s nice they wrapped up everyone’s story. It was a happy ending.” What was your favorite “Hills” moment? Tell us in the comments! ‘The Hills’ Finale: Kristin And Audrina Move On, Lo Moves In

Meanwhile, the show’s “fake” farewell scene gives a wink to the audience. By Amy Wilkinson Audrina Patridge and Kristin Cavallari Photo: Matthias Clamer Four years, six seasons, two leading ladies and plenty of drama later, the trials and tribulations of a group of L.A. 20-somethings — or our chance to watch them, anyway — came to a rather surreal end on Tuesday night’s series finale of “The Hills.” The episode began with Audrina, Lo, Stephanie and Kristin contemplating their futures , realizing that each was setting out on her own path. For Audrina, that path led away from Hollywood and the drama of Justin Bobby and his ilk. Lo decided she’s ready to settle down. “I want little babies,” she squealed. Seeing her friends’ certain destinies and the big question mark looming in her future made Kristin decide it was time to shake things up. “I just need a change,” she said. Meanwhile, Stephanie wondered if she should make her romance official with Josh, Brody’s motocross-racing friend. She decided to visit him at the race track to see how he felt. “You’re like the manliest guy I’ve ever dated,” she said. “But at the same time, the sweetest too. I like hanging out with you a lot.” And there really wasn’t much to say after that, as the two declared they hadn’t seen anyone else since they started dating, and didn’t want to. Stephanie finally had someone she could call her boyfriend. Kristin caught up with Stacie to dish about her Brody drama and discuss her plans for the future. “It needs to be a big change,” she told Stacie of the shakeup she was planning. “I need to be completely uncomfortable, and I need to be scared again. The only place I can think of is somewhere in Europe.” Where? She wasn’t terribly specific on that point, but she knew what she didn’t want happening. “I don’t want to wake up in 10 years still looking for that guy,” Kristin lamented. “Brody found his girl, so I have to go find what I want.” Telling Brody, though, would prove a bit trickier. When she went to his condo to tell him about her plans, he couldn’t help but ask (rightfully so) if her decision to move abroad had anything to do with him. She denied it did and invited him to her going-away party. “I’m not going to celebrate you leaving,” he said. “I don’t want to see you leave.” But in the end, Brody showed up at Kristin’s party, trying again to dissuade her. But Kristin wasn’t budging. “I need to go somewhere to figure out who I am and what I want in life,” she explained. “Don’t leave,” Brody pleaded again, bringing Kristin and himself to tears as they hugged. Lo finally decided it was OK to break her rule about moving in with a guy she’s not engaged to, but it sounded as though she wouldn’t have to wait long for Scott to put a ring on it. “I want this to be a long- term deal,” he said. “I want to spend the rest of my life with you. I’d marry you right now.” As Kristin grabbed her luggage and cast a final wistful glance across her home, Brody pulled up just in time to say one final goodbye. “If I were to know that if I were to go and see someone else, you were to leave town because of that, I probably wouldn’t have done it,” he said. “I don’t want you leaving.” “I can’t believe this is really goodbye,” she said, and the former couple hugged a final time in front of the Hollywood sign before Kristin departed in a black town car. But then, as the camera focused on the abandoned Brody, the backdrop was wheeled away revealing a soundstage — a sly wink to the viewers of this La-La Land reality show. Bristol Palin And Levi Johnston Get Engaged Again

Young couple said they hadn’t yet told Sarah Palin about engagement. By Gil Kaufman Bristol Palin and Levi Johnston Photo: New York Daily News More than a year and a half after calling off their first engagement, Playgirl model Levi Johnston and Bristol Palin are ready to give marriage another try. The couple first got engaged after Bristol became pregnant with their now 18-month-old son, Tripp, and took the stage together with Palin’s mother, former vice presidential candidate and half-term Alaska Governor Sarah Palin, at the 2008 Republican National Convention . They broke up just weeks after Tripp’s birth in December 2008, but the couple told Us Weekly in this week’s cover story that they are ready to get hitched. “We got engaged two weeks ago,” abstinence advocate Bristol, 19, told the magazine. “It felt right, even though we don’t have the approval of our parents.” That might be the sticky part. Johnston, 20, recently offered a public apology to the Palins, especially to Sarah, for the harsh comments he made about the family in the fallout from his breakup with Bristol. Despite agreeing to pose with Tripp on the cover of the magazine and announcing their second engagement on the cover, they admitted that they hadn’t yet told Sarah Palin about their plans. The couple said they reconnected three months ago while working on a custody plan for Tripp and unexpectedly rekindled their romance. “I really thought we were over,” Johnston said. “So when I went, I had no hope. I think we both just started talking — and then we took Tripp for a walk.” Bristol added, “When he left that night, we didn’t hug or kiss, but I was thinking how different it was. He texted me: ‘I miss you. I love you. I want to be with you again.’ … I was in shock.” Sarah Palin has been very outspoken about her feelings about Johnston in the past, lashing out at him when he claimed last fall that she referred to her infant song Trig — who has Down Syndrome — as “retarded,” slamming the aspiring model/actor and high school dropout by referring to him as “Ricky Hollywood” during an Oprah Winfrey interview and mocking his “aspiring porn” career. That contentious relationship has Bristol a bit worried about how her mother will react to their engagement. “It is intimidating and scary just to think about what her reaction is going to be,” she said of the outspoken Fox News contributor, who had not yet weighed in on the news at press time. “Hopefully, she will jump onboard.”

Lady Gaga Remix Album Due In The U.S. Next Month

The LP — which has already sold 500,000 copies internationally — features 10 tracks, including a Passion Pit collabo. By Mawuse Ziegbe Lady Gaga in “Telephone” Photo: Interscope Lady Gaga’s fans in the U.S. will finally be able to pick up the pop star’s collection of revamped hits, Lady Gaga — The Remix when the album hits stores Stateside on August 3. The album — which features reworked hits from production stars such as Madonna collaborator Stuart Price and artists like dance-pop band Passion Pit — has already sold more than 500,000 units internationally. The album features 10 tracks from Gaga’s albums The Fame and The Fame Monster. Gaga’s Little Monsters can bump remixed versions of hits like “Alejandro,” “Bad Romance,” “Just Dance,” “LoveGame,” “Paparazzi,” “Poker Face” and “Telephone.” Lady Gaga — The Remix should allow fans to experience the ubiquitous singer’s major hits in a new way. Mother Monster is already cementing her superstar status by becoming the first living person to collect more than 10 million Facebook fans , a staggering figure that even bests President Barack Obama (Gaga also has more Twitter followers and YouTube subscribers than the prez). The album should tide over Gaga’s fans until the pop star unleashes her follow-up to The Fame Monster. However, there is a light at the end of the tunnel: The star recently revealed that she has finished recording her next album . “I’ve been working on it for months now, and I feel very strongly that it’s finished right now,” Gaga told Rolling Stone. “It came so quickly. Some artists take years; I don’t. I write music every day.” Will you pick up Gaga’s remix album when hits the States? Let us know in the comments! Related Artists Lady Gaga

Lady Gaga Fans Want Nicki Minaj, Marilyn Manson Duets On Next Album

But some fans hope she flies solo: ‘I want to see her work with no one but herself right now, because Gaga’s Gaga.’ By James Montgomery Lady Gaga Photo: Matt Harper/ MTV News These days, Lady Gaga will tell anyone who will listen that her new album is 100 percent finished, but that she won’t be putting it out until next year. In fact, earlier this week at the kickoff of the North American leg of her Monster Ball Tour in Montreal , she told her “little monsters” that she’s been listening to the new songs before taking the stage, and that she’s simply dying to let her fans hear them. Of course, she followed that statement up by unveiling “You and I,” a song that had leaked to YouTube a few days earlier, which only further whetted fans’ appetites. With so much brand-new Lady Gaga music so tantalizingly close to being released, we decided to ask LG’s fans what they’re expecting to hear on the album — and who, if anyone, they would like to see their Mother Monster collaborate with on the record. We heard a whole lot of the usual suspects — Britney Spears, Katy Perry (though we sort of doubt that will happen anytime soon ), Madonna, etc. — but the fans in Montreal also had some rather, uh, less-than-traditional suggestions, some of which would be positively amazing if they every came to fruition. “I would like to see Marilyn Manson with her,” Nicholas Vansorto said. “She has made a remix with him , but I would like to hear a song with Marilyn Manson and Lady Gaga. It would be amazing.” “Nicki Minaj!” Shareejah Daley suggested. “Nicki Minaj and Lady Gaga would be crazy.” Of course, there are still those out there who think that Gaga’s at her best when she’s flying solo — and that’s exactly what they want to hear on her new album. “I know she’s not going to work with anybody — she’s not going to do any duets,” Genevieve Plante said. “I would like if she would continue on the way of ‘Telephone,’ or ‘Dance in the Dark,’ ‘Bad Romance,’ I would love that.” “I want to see her work with no one but herself right now, because Gaga’s Gaga,” Danik Renaud added. “So there shouldn’t be anyone [else] — other than Beyonc

Kellan Lutz Says ‘Eclipse’ Has ‘A Great Mix Of Romance And Action’

‘It’s great when Emmett’s in there, and he’s there to fight,’ Lutz tells MTV News. By Jocelyn Vena, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Nikki Reed and Kellan Lutz in “Eclipse” Photo: Summit Kellan Lutz definitely has the build to pull off the most intense action scenes in “Eclipse,” and the actor knows that the third “Twilight Saga” flick is Emmett Cullen’s time to shine. “I just love doing my own stunts,” he told MTV News. “I love stunt work. It sucks that I can’t rewrite the books and add more dialogue for Emmett, because I really do have more action scenes than dialogue. So it’s great when ‘Eclipse’ came around, ’cause I do love the book the best, and I think it just had such a great mix of the romance and the action and the collaboration of the two. “I love to work, so it’s great when Emmett’s in there, and he’s there to fight,” he added. “So I really just loved doing stunts.” When ideas were brewing about how to make the stunts happen in “Eclipse,” Lutz was the go-to guy for experimentation. “The producers know I like doing the stunts so much, to the point where they make me the guinea pig,” he laughed. “So we were doing this treadmill running sequence, so you’re wearing these contacts and you’re breathing in exhaust from the truck, and it’s cold as hell up there, and you’re trying to run and not pant, ’cause I’m a vampire.” The cast has been quite vocal about upping the action ante in “Eclipse.” Taylor Lautner recently revealed that it’s the most “guy-friendly” of the “Twilight” flicks. “It’s my favorite, because it’s the most guy-friendly by far,” Lautner explained. “It’s dangerous. There’s a lot of action. The romance is still there, but the action level is stepped up way more. It’s great.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Eclipse.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com .
