Let us now pause from debating Kate Middleton baby bump photos to discuss the simple, undisputed and unrelated fact that Prince William is the man. Not only is he rich, smart, handsome, married to a beautiful girl and a future monarch, but he’s on his way to becoming a decorated serviceman! Two years after joining the Royal Air Force Search and Rescue Force, the Duke of Cambridge has officially qualified to be an operational captain. William can now lead missions in RAF Sea King helicopters by himself. The 29-year-old recently helped save the lives of Russian seamen whose cargo vessel sank in the Irish Sea last November, co-piloting the aircraft. William’s advancement comes after two years of flying experience and study with C Flight, 22 Squadron at RAF Valley in Anglesey, Wales. Flight Lieutenant Wales, as he is known in the RAF, “demonstrated the required standards needed for the award of operation captaincy,” his commanding officer said. “Due to the nature of search and rescue operations, the required standards are always set at a very high level. Operational captaincy carries the overarching responsibility for the continued safety of the aircraft, its crew and any casualties.” Wills – way to go man!

Friday, they took a romantic trip to Calabasas, Calif., where they decided to exchange I-dos once more. “We renewed our vows today….it’s incredible to thank each other for the past year as husband and wife,” Rimes tweeted. “Here’s to another great year!” LeAnn and Eddie, who were married to Dean Sheremet and Brandi Glanvllle , respectively, when they first got together, have come a long way since then. Prince William and Kate Middleton, now the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge, are headed back to the balcony that saw the kiss seen ’round the world. When they stepped out onto the balcony of Buckingham Palace last April 29 as husband and wife and kissed for the first time, it was a magic moment. Soon, the royals are set to return to that location in honor of Queen Elizabeth II’s Diamond Jubilee anniversary marking her 60-year reign, on June 5. Royal Wedding Kiss and Highlights Prior, the family will attend a service at St Paul’s Cathedral followed by two receptions, a lunch at Westminster Hall and a carriage procession to Buckingham Palace. Somehow we doubt William and Kate will upstage his grandmother with another kiss, but the royal wedding was a day many in the UK will remember. Taking the moment up a notch, after the much-anticipated public display of affection, a Royal Air Force flyover took to the skies to seal the spectacle. The Queen at least deserves that.

Attending a preview of Lucian Freud paintings at the National Portrait Gallery in London, Kate donned an affordable gray Jesire dress and four-inch heels.
