LL Cool J Says He Was ‘Misrepresented’ In Ads For Sarah Palin’s New Show

‘Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else,’ LL tweets about commercials for ‘Real American Stories.’ By Shaheem Reid LL Cool J Photo: Johnny Nunez/ WireImage LL Cool J took to his Twitter account to make it clear that despite the advertisements that make it seem otherwise, he is not going to appear on Sarah Palin’s “Real American Stories” show, set to debut on the Fox News Channel on Thursday (April 1). “Fox lifted an old interview I gave in 2008 to someone else & are misrepresenting to the public in order to promote Sarah Palin’s Show. WOW,” Uncle L tweeted . LL and Toby Keith were among the celebrities appearing in an advertisement for the new show that highlights individuals who have triumphed over adversity. On Wednesday, Cool J’s camp released a statement to MTV News further clarifying the rap legend’s stance. “Contrary to what was reported, LL Cool J was never scheduled to be a guest on ‘Real American Stories’ with Sarah Palin this week. The show had planned to use an interview from 2008 that was being repurposed without LL’s permission. This statement is not a reflection of any feelings LL has toward Fox News or Ms. Palin, whom he has never met, rather a clarification of what we have seen published in the media.” In a statement sent to the New York Times , Fox News said they decided to edit LL out of the show. “‘Real American Stories’ features uplifting tales about overcoming adversity and we believe Mr. Smith’s interview fit that criteria,” Fox said in the statement. “However, as it appears that Mr. Smith does not want to be associated with a program that could serve as an inspiration to others, we are cutting his interview from the special and wish him the best with his fledgling acting career.” Will you watch Sarah Palin’s new show? Levi Johnston Still Taunting Sarah Palin

Sarah Palin’s nemesis, nude model and her daughter’s former fake fiance Levi Johnston does not hold back when it comes to Alaska’s most famous family. Recently, he weighed in on the former Vice Presidential candidate’s new reality show, saying it’s going to flop … compared to his own unnamed TV plans. “Good for her but mine (show) is gonna beat it,” Johnston said at Perez Hilton’s birthday bash at LA’s Paramount lot. What is “his” show exactly? Unclear. And unimportant, for the most part, since as long as Sarah Palin does anything, and someone asks Levi Johnston for comment, we will get funny clips … I’MMA SMACK YOU : That’s what Sarah Palin’s thinking now, anyway … Sarah Palin’s Alaska is about to make her the newest star of Discovery’s TLC network, joining the ranks of Jon Gosselin, Kat Von D, the Duggars, etc. The “travelogue” about our 49th state is being executive produced by the former Alaska Governor herself along with reality TV kingpin Mark Burnett. Whatever. Now if someone got Levi Johnston and Sarah Palin in the ring for some celebrity boxing on pay per view, that would be worth tuning in for. Same goes for a Sarah Palin- Elisabeth Hasselbeck throwdown. For the time being, we’ll have to live with clips like this of Levi sort of taunting her … Levi Taunts Sarah

Elisabeth Hasselbeck Goes Off on Sarah Palin

In never-thought-you’d-see-the-day news, staunch conservative Elisabeth Hasselbeck went off on The View yesterday, railing against none other than Sarah Palin. Why? Because Palin, for whom she campaigned during the 2008 election, released an ad that put 20 Democratic members of the U.S. Congress literally in the crosshairs. Palin’s call to kill Democrats grass roots action came in response to the Dems’ big f*%king deal overhaul of the health care system, which she’s very opposed to. The former Alaska Governor’s Facebook page features her political action committee’s ad targeting the 20 Democratic incumbents, with a “SarahPac map” marking, with guns, the districts where Democrats voted “yes” for health care reform. Elisabeth would like a mulligan on this campaign rally. Hasselbeck also opposes health reform, but she’s actually far more upset about how people on her own side of the political spectrum are handling themselves. “I think the way some Republicans are handling this is nothing more than purely despicable,” she said in response to Palin’s ad. “It’s disappointing to see this come from the Party, and I would hope that leaders like Sarah Palin would end this.” No word if Sarah also plugged Bristol Palin on there somehow. Liberal-leaning co-host Joy Behar got Elisabeth going by saying the map looked “like an Al Qaeda Christmas card.” We were surprised to watch Elisabeth concur. Check out them going off on the professional celebrity below … Hasselbeck Calls Out Palin

Sarah Palin’s extravagant rock star demands cause further infighting among Teabaggers.

Palin’s contract, according to Shreeve, who had a look at it, called for her to be paid $100,000 for the event. It also included $18,000 for private jet travel for her and her entourage. Shreeve told me Palin’s contract — standard among political stars who make the speaking-circuit rounds — specified what type of private jet she requested for the trip to Nashville. “It was like, she had to have this or that size plane,” Shreeve recalls. “It was like when a rock star comes to town, the contract was that detailed.”
