Rupert Murdoch calls in Bill O’Reilly and "pollster" Frank Luntz to provide cover for yet another Palin misstep.

The first thing to address is whether or not Frank Luntz actually gathered a group of people that is representative of Obama voters. I am guessing not. And by the way WHY did they cut it off before the graph supposedly demonstrated how hateful the Obama voters were? The guy is well known for consistently skewing his data to reinforce the conclusions that Fox News pays him to reinforce. He is the guy who penned the memo that Republicans are using to try and kill the health care bill, and there is NOTHING bipartisan about his tactics. So let us get THAT out of the way right off the top. As I have addressed before the Family Guy episode was NOT aimed at Trig Palin. It contained one very slight dig at Sarah Palin, which SHE decided to capitalize on to, once again, play the victim. Only this time she was even too cowardly to do it herself, and had her daughter Bristol do the dirty work for her. Even the actress who played the part, a person with Down syndrome herself, understood the target of the joke . The only thing that is shown by this little act that Luntz and O’Reilly put on is that News Corp is still dedicated to cleaning up the messes that Sarah Palin makes in order to keep her from imploding before they have squeezed all of the potential revenue from of her appearances on Fox. After all Rupert Murdoch has made a sizable investment in Ms. Palin and, even though she is getting more batshit crazy by the day, he still stands to make a tidy sum from her in the next several months. Personally I want very much to be a fly on the wall at Fox News when we prove that Sarah did not give birth to her magical, popularity producing toddler. I wonder if MSNBC could sneak a camera in there on the big day? And as for Luntz’s ridiculous assertion that when it comes to Sarah Palin conservatives are more compassionate than liberals, I have to correct him. It is not that we are less compassionate, it is that we are less easy to fool. You see, unlike conservatives, when a woman puts a pillow under her scarf and tells us she is seven months pregnant and then produces a borrowed child to prove that she was not lying, liberals tend to be a tad skeptical. After all, as my previous post illustrates, we ARE the intelligent ones.

Bristol Palin to Guest Star on The Secret Life of the American Teenager

Levi Johnston is trying to make headway in the fields of TV and posing nude. It’s nice to see that his baby mama, Bristol Palin, has decided to follow suit. Well, at least the TV part. The daughter of Sarah Palin is coming to ABC Family as the real-life teen mom will make a cameo as herself on The Secret Life of the American Teenager . Bristol Palin will appear as one of Amy’s friends at a music program for young parents. Sarah will certainly be so proud at her girl getting more publicity. Bristol Palin during her brief, fake engagement to Levi Johnston . The casting announcement comes juts a week after Sarah and Bristol both made headlines by lashing out at Family Guy and its creator Seth MacFarlane. Its depiction of a student with Down Syndrome riled up the Palins, even if the voice actress, who has Down Syndrome herself, says they should lighten up . Is Sarah Palin being hypocritical by placing her daughter on a TV show, given that like MacFarlane, The Secret Life is just using the Palin name for ratings? Just asking .

Family Guy Actress with Down Syndrome’s Sarah Palin Smackdown Too Hot for NYT

The latest twist in the important controversy of Family Guy making fun of Trig Palin: An actress with Down syndrome said Sarah Palin “does not have a sense of humor.” She was in the offending episode. Updated with more zing! Andrea Fay Friedman played the girl with Down syndrome Chris dated in the episode. (Her IMDB says she’s been on Saving Grace , Law & Order: SVU and 7th Heaven among other shows.) She was the one who said the fateful line which incurred Sarah Palin’s facebook-based ire : “My dad’s an accountant, and my mom’s the former governor of Alaska.” (Gawker.tv has got the clip .) And she has something to say to no-fun Sarah Palin, which she said in an email to the New York Times . However! It appears that what the Times printed was just the nice portion of a much meaner email Friedman sent out to various media outlets. The blog Palingates has published the uncensored email: I guess former Governor Palin does not have a sense of humor. I thought the line “I am the daughter of the former governor of Alaska” was very funny. I think the word is “sarcasm.” In my family we think laughing is good. My parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life. My mother did not carry me around under her arm like a loaf of French bread the way former Governor Palin carries her son Trig around looking for sympathy and votes. (Emphasis mine.) How does one say in English… “Zing?” The Times , however, stops at “my parents raised me to have a sense of humor and to live a normal life.” They must have done the calculations and figured that being able to interview Sarah Palin in the future was worth more than printing Friedman’s awesome email in full. How mainstream media. It’s too bad, because the best part about Friedman’s response was also the point—such as there was one—of the Family Guy gag: Palin used Trig so blatantly as a campaign tool, and positions herself so squarely as the voice of the disabled community (see: “death panels”), that of course the one person with Down syndrome to appear in the Family Guy episode would be related to her. We can think of many, many well-meaning but possibly ‘edgy’ jokes to make right now. But we’re watching the Olympics and don’t feel like reading a bunch of pissed-off comments from people who would, like Sarah Palin, take these jokes the wrong way. So, let’s just say: Excellent work, Andrea Fay Friedman. Stop being so wimpy, New York Times . And: U-S-A! U-S-A!

Happy Birthday, Sarah Palin!

As celebrity birthdays go, this one is particularly special to us. You betcha, Sarah Palin turns 46 today! Hopefully she remembered to write a note on her hand ! Since bursting onto the scene in 2008, Sarah has been a lightning rod, becoming one of the most popular and unpopular figures in politics simultaneously. That’s a tough feat, and despite her resignation as Governor of Alaska last year, we don’t imagine we’ve seen the last from her on a major political stage. Some people want her to run for President. Others want her to run away somewhere – anywhere – and never come back. Either way, she gets people talking! Here’s a little birthday tribute of Sarah Palin pictures . Click to enlarge! Should Sarah Palin run for President?
