GLAAD is asking for an apology from NBC after this weekend’s airing of a Saturday Night Live skit that mocked transgender women. The piece was a mock commercial for estrogen replacement therapy and featured men with facial hair wearing dresses, meant to represent transgender women. This segment cannot be defended as “just a joke” because there was no “joke” to speak of. The attempted comedy of the… Broadcasting platform : YouTube Source : Joe. My. God. Betty White Calls SAG Award Win ‘The Biggest Surprise’

‘Hot in Cleveland’ star wins for outstanding female in a comedy series. By Aly Semigran Betty White onstage during the 2011 SAG Awards Photo: Kevin Winter/Getty Images The Screen Actors Guild most certainly still has nothing but love for Betty White. Last year’s Lifetime Achievement Award recipient took to the podium once again, this time for outstanding female in a comedy series for her work in “Hot in Cleveland.” A stunned-looking White — who bested the likes of odds-on favorites like Jane Lynch (“Glee”), Tina Fey (“30 Rock”) and Sofia Vergara (“Modern Family”) — received a standing ovation from her peers as she made her way to the stage, stopping to give a peck on the cheek to this year’s Lifetime recipient, Ernest Borgnine. Presenter Jon Hamm (“Mad Men”) assisted White up the steps to the stage, to which she joked, “They had to get the old broad up those stairs and that’s not easy! “I cannot believe this,” the always-crowd-pleasing White told the audience. The first-time SAG nominee — who has enjoyed a major Hollywood comeback over the past few years thanks to “Cleveland,” a “Saturday Night Live” hosting gig and the 2009 comedy “The Proposal” — said of her win Sunday night, “This [is] the biggest surprise I’ve ever had in this business.” White said she felt very lucky and happy to still be working at the age of 89. When the audience cheered her on, White quickly cracked back, “You didn’t applaud when I turned 40!” She then turned the focus of her speech to her “Cleveland” co-stars Jane Leeves, Valerie Bertinelli and Wendie Malick: “We can’t wait to go to work every day,” she said. White, who wore a charming blue dress and sequined jacket, said of the ensemble cast, “It sounds like a clich

SNL Scorecard: Were Three Mark Zuckerbergs a Charm?

A “cocky” Jesse Eisenberg hosted last night’s edition of Saturday Night Live , though his performance was a bit lost in the excitement from the worst kept secret of the week: The actor’s first (OK, maybe second, considering that they most likely caught up during dress rehearsal) face-to-face meeting with Facebook founder Mark Zuckerberg, whom Eisenberg portrayed in The Social Network . But, stunt cameos aside, how did the recent Oscar nominee fare?

The Real Winner of the Golden Globes: Bedhead

The jury is still out on whether Ricky Gervais conquered last night’s monologue or if Glee deserved to win Best Comedy Series, but there was one group that unquestionably swept last night’s 68th Annual Golden Globes: Bedheaded celebrities. Take a look at some of the most (expertly) tousled tresses that traveled in limos to the Beverly Hilton last night and then please, let me know: Are Hollywood hair stylists on strike? Thanks.

A Brief History of the Word ‘F*ck’ on Saturday Night Live

This past weekend, Cee Lo Green, riding high on his hit song “F*ck You,” was the musical guest on Saturday Night Live . His appearance resulted in a sketch in which music executives contemplated how to promote his song with such a glaring expletive in the title, which was really a riff on SNL itself contemplating how to let Cee Lo Green sing his ever-popular ditty on live television. The word was danced around this past Saturday, but never uttered. But! During the long history of SNL , that word has made it out to the live audience on more than one occasion. Here’s a brief glimpse at the cast’s strange relationship with the F-word.

Casey Wilson’s two-season career on Saturday Night Live concluded abruptly , but since she exited Studio 8H last year, she’s proved herself a viable sitcom draw: The 30-year-old writer/actress picked up a recurring role on TV Land’s upcoming Retired at 35 and a starring role on ABC’ s newest ensemble comedy Happy Endings , which kicks off in April. We caught up with Casey last week at the TCA winter press tour in Pasadena.

Although the “How Do You Know” star has stayed mum about the pregnancy over the past few months, but an insider told Us that Wilson was looking forward to fatherhood and getting educated about becoming a dad. “[Wilson] has been doing research and learning as much as he can. He’s super into it and asks a lot of questions to make sure he knows what’s going on every step of the way,” the source said. After “Fockers,” Wilson’s next film to hit theaters is the comedy “Hall Pass,” which co-stars “Saturday Night Live” funnyman Jason Sudeikis and is slated to appear on screens on February 25. Andre 3000 Pops Up On Ke$ha’s ‘Sleazy’ Remix

Outkast MC freshens up the pop star’s Cannibal cut with rare feature. By Mawuse Ziegbe Andre 3000 Photo: Michael Buckner/Getty Images It seems the only way to find spankin’-new Andre 3000 lyrics these days is on the odd remix, and the ATLien definitely picked a left-of-center choice for his latest feature. On Friday (January 14), a remix of Ke$ha’s Cannibal track “Sleazy” hit the Web, outfitted with some brand-new bars from the elusive Outkast MC. The southern spitter uses the revamp to muse about a young kid dealing with a deadbeat dad over the song’s bouncy thump. “We start out so cute in our baby pictures/ That mama shot for our daddy so that he wouldn’t forget you/ He forgot anyway, but hey, one day he’ll remember/ If not, he’s human, I’m human, you human, we’ll forgive him,” he spits. After sounding off about daddy issues, Stacks then rhymes about his playful relationship with the glitter-friendly poptress. “I call her Keisha, she like it because it’s hood to her/ She call me Andre 6000 because I’m good to her,” he says. The remix follows a slew of random guest appearances on records by everyone from DJ Unk to Rich Boy as fans await another full-length release from ‘Dre. Back in 2008, the Love Below lyricist broke down his affinity for jumping on the occasional remix to MTV News , explaining that cooking up another quality solo record is no easy task. “I’ve been doing remixes here and there, and let me tell you, thank God for remixes. I wanna tell everybody who’s been checking out the remixes and things like the John Legend song [‘Green Light’]: In this day and age, those are the things that have kind of been keeping me alive. Because it takes me awhile to record albums,” he said. “I have to kind of build up something to say.” What do you think of Andre 3000’s verse on Ke$ha’s “Sleazy” remix? Let us know in the comments!
