Prepare to absolutely met, Beliebers. Justin Bieber took a break from filming a holiday special in Toronto last night to sit and chat with his number-one fan: little sister Jazmyn. The singer asked the three-year old what she wanted to be when she grew up (answer: bigger), exchanged a couple “I love yous,” made the crowd gasp on more than one occasion with his sheer adorableness and then broke into a quick rendition of “Baby” on stage. You gotta hand it to Snooki. Since she first burst on the scene and out of her pants in late 2009, the girl has gotten progressively thinner , an impressive feat considering she’s a full-blown drunk. Fortunately, inhaiing Deena’s face means fairly low caloric intake. That’s gotta count for something. And working out helps too of course. She does her GTL. Take a look at Snooki pictures from last month, late 2010 and early 2010: Finally, to truly illustrate how far she’s come, take a look back to 2009, before she was famous, during the filming of Season One of Jersey Shore . Words fail us: Snooki: Would you smush it?
What happens when you put a nativity scene in the middle of an Occupy camp? This video happens. And it’s pretty ironically hilarious, to say the least. The reactions of the Occupy Wall Street protesters below speak for themselves. Seeing a guy state that “It’s offensive” while wearing a baseball hat that says “F–k the police” … so priceless. Watch the tables turn as Baby Jesus & Co. do the occupying: Occupy vs. Nativity Scene (feat. Baby Jesus)

Words By Hafeez Raji Rarely do pioneers stay relevant some twenty-five years after coming on the scene to redefine a genre as one William Griffin, aka Rakim bka The R. Over two decades ago my only knowledge of hip hop–or better yet “rap”–revolved literally on my first vinyl album, a compilation of the Sugar Hill Gang’s record label greatest hits featuring Grand Master Flash, Whodini, The Sugar Hill Gang and a cast of others not even worth mentioning. That album would take a back seat to the only album that mattered to me for years to come and still ranks on my top 10 of all time. Paid in Full by all accounts did what Nirvana’s Nevermind did to the music landscape back in 87 and is widely considered to every bit as influential and important as the Beatles Sgt. Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band . Musically it broke open the vault to every James Brown beat ever made and all but killed the common theme of sampling disco and rock albums to create the music for hip hop artists to rhyme to. Before Rakim blessed the mic, the themes of hip hop were fairly light-hearted concentrating primarily on party themes and less thought provoking rhymes. While Run DMC was screaming about being Kings of Rock , Rakim challenged our minds and challenged emcees to put more thought and emphasis on lyrics while charting his way to being labeled God Mc. “I take 7 emcees put em in line, add 7 more brothers who think they can rhyme, it will take 7 more before I go for mine and that’s 21 emcees ate up at the same time.” – “My Melody” Few other hip-hop albums have been sampled more or listed in the top ten as Paid in Full . Stetsasonic, Gang Starr, 2pac, NWA, Lord Finesse, Warren G, Smif-N-Wessun, Birdman, Lil Wayne, Girl Talk and so on have all sampled Paid in Full . Back in ‘87 hip-hop still had a negative view from the critics and was really thought to be a fad that would soon die. It was perceived as crude noise with no real background or foundation for credibility when compared to other genres, which at most had their ties to soul, jazz or rock. Like Punk Rock the previous decade you had a lot of acts and crew who just simply had no talent or business picking up a microphone hopping on the scene and further contributing to the assertion that the fad would soon die. Paid In Full ushered in a new era of rap by throwing out all the whack conventions and made emcees go back and rethink their careers. Almost 25 years later Rakim still ranks up there in every artists top list of G.O.A.T. Kanye and Jay-Z may have you watching the throne but all kings and queens ( you can decide who’s who) must answer to a higher power. Paid in Full, is the best and most influential album ever made and there’s nothing wrong with coming in second to it. Actor also gives MTV News a Les Grossman update at Dubai premiere. By Kevin P. Sullivan, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Tom Cruise at the Dubai premiere of “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol” Photo: MTV News After four “Mission: Impossible” films, Tom Cruise has seen his fair share of action sequences as special agent Ethan Hunt. So many of the series’ famous set pieces come to mind almost instantly: infiltrating Langley in “Mission: Impossible,” climbing a rock face freestyle in “M:I 2” and now the stunt outside Dubai’s Khalifa Tower in “Ghost Protocol.” When MTV News’ Josh Horowitz caught up with Cruise at the latest film’s premiere in Dubai, he asked the actor which famous action sequences he looks back on with the most fondness. “It’s hard to say, because each one has been so different, and each had different kinds of challenges,” Cruise said. But few will deny that the iconic rappel into the heart of CIA headquarters is the series’ defining moment. Cruise recalled the challenges he had filming that scene. He credits director Brian De Palma for the scene’s success. “I remember when I was doing it, my head kept hitting the floor. … I was running out of energy, and we were running out of time,” Cruise said. De Palma said if they didn’t get the stunt on the next take he would be forced to pull it off with tricky editing. “To one of the stunt guys, I said, ‘Give me your pound coins out of your pocket,’ ” Cruise said. “I put the pound coins in my shoes, the tips, so that’s what allowed me to be able to balance and keep off the floor for that whole shot. That kept my face from hitting the floor.” That wasn’t the end of it, though. Cruise needed to maintain that position for the rest of the take. “De Palma knew that we had the shot, and he just held it and held it. I was like, ‘How long can I hold off the floor?’ Brian had a fantastic laugh, and then he said, ‘All right, cut.’ ” One of the projects Cruise has been attached to for a while is the long-gestating “Tropic Thunder” spin-off for his scene-stealing character Les Grossman . There have been no signs of progress toward production, so Cruise updated us on its status. “It’s not where we all want it to be,” Cruise said, suggesting that Internet shorts may be the way to go. “[Les Grossman] is so much fun to do. There are all different kinds of things we’re thinking about.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Mission: Impossible – Ghost Protocol.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . Remember the scene in Total Recall where our foe’s eyes pop out of his head at a climactic moment? Well, your ears will perform a similar feat when you hear Arnold Schwarzenegger ‘s Total Recall DVD commentary with director Paul Verhoeven. It’s as monotone, Austrian, and filled with hearty chuckles as you imagine. It is still funny. In fact, it is the best thing I’ve heard all month.
