R.I.P.: Former NFL Baller Rashaan Salaam Dead At Age 42 1994 Heisman trophy winner and former Chicago Bears running back Rashaan Salaam died on Monday . He was 42. Salaam’s body was found in the parking lot of a local park in Boulder, Colorado on Monday. No foul play is suspected, but police would not disclose if any weapons were found on or near the body that could have been used to inflict self-harm. The investigation into his cause of death is ongoing, as the University of Colorado says the community is “stunned” by his death. He will be truly missed y his family, friends, and fans.
