Meadow Walker has returned to Instagram. The 15-year old daughter of late actor Paul Walker posted a photo of herself in a bikini yesterday, writing as a simple caption on the social media service: “Glad to be back.” And followers were glad to have Meadow back with fans posting messages to Meadow that told her she looks “great” and should “stay strong.” “Your daddy is always around with you. Stay strong meadow, you’re a warrior,” one user wrote in supportive response. Paul Walker died in a high-speed car crash in November. In addition to losing her dad, Meadow has been at the forefront of a heated custody battle between her mother, Rebecca Soteros, and her grandmother on her father’s side, Cheryl Walker, because she’s the beneficiary of her dad’s $16 million estate. There had been talk initially that Meadow actually witnessed her father’s tragic accident, but those reports were quickly shot down. The Miley Cyrus: Bangerz Tour special that aired on NBC Sunday night flopped in the ratings, garnering only two million overall viewers and a 0.7 rating among adults 18-49. Was it a holiday weekend? Yes. But was Miley’s program – which included backstage footage, along with performances of tracks such as “We Can’t Stop” – the lowest-rated of the night? Yes. Still, Cyrus enjoyed her weekend regardless of the bomb. She spent part of it getting a tattoo her her dead dog and part of it hosting a Fourth of July party at her house. One of the judges at the Scripps National Spelling Bee, which aired last night on ESPN, is apparently a huge fan of rapper Kelis and/or milkshakes. He randomly quoted her classic track when asked to use a word in a sentence … while not using the word in question. It was pretty outstanding: Spelling Bee Judge LOVES Kelis, Quotes Milkshake The judge, Dr. Jacques Bailly (1980 National Spelling Bee champion!) was supposed to be using “feijoada” in a sentence, by request from the finalist. Instead, he BROKE IT DOWN, saying “While Tabitha discovered that her milkshake brought all the boys to the yard …” and then cut himself off. Cue the confused, awkward quasi-laughter. The contestant went on to spell the word, which apparently is a Brazilian stew, correctly before the big event ran out of words and ended in a tie . Lil Wayne might want Scooter Braun dead , but Justin Bieber’s manager still has plenty of fans within the music industry. Lady Gaga, for example, apparently admires what Braun has been able to do with Bieber’s career so much that she wants the 32-year-old mogul to help her recover from recent popularity slump. “If anyone can help Gaga now, it’s Scooter,” a source tells Huffington Post. “He’s one of the smartest blokes in the music industry and made Bieber the biggest pop star on the planet. There are few options for her right now, but Scooter is one of them.” While still one of the most recognized singers on the planet, Gaga’s album and concert ticket sales over the past year have been lower than expected. Gaga’s latest single “G.U.Y.” failed to crack the top 40 on American charts – a first for the Mother Monster. “Gaga’s next album will be make or break,” says the insider. “At the moment she’s still to decide who will manage her.” Gaga fired manager Troy Carter late last year, citing “creative differences” as the cause for their terminated partnership. A shocking video of Ohio kindergarten teacher Barb Williams picking a student up by his shirt and slamming him against a wall has gone viral this week. Not surprisingly, it has enraged many parents – particularly Autumn and Anthony Nelson, whose 6-year-old son Ian is seen in the clip with Williams … Teacher Slams Student Against Wall This video is almost hard to stomach as it begins with Ian walking to the bathroom alone. When he leaves the bathroom, Williams is waiting for him in the hall. There is no sound, but she is PISSED, picking him up by his shirt and slamming him against the wall not once, but twice with no hero cat – or other adult – in sight. All kidding aside, it gets even worse. One moment also shows her grabbing the boy by the face and tilting his head back in a borderline scary scene. Parents Autumn and Anthony Nelson of Wharton, Oh., actually received a letter from Eric Hoffman, the superintendent of the Riverdale School system. The letter alerted them of the incident that occurred between their son and his teacher, claiming that she was being disciplined with a 10-day unpaid suspension. The following day they were provided with the video. They were floored. “He was in the other room, and I watched it out in the kitchen and I just started crying. I burst out into tears,” Autumn told their local FOX affiliate. “He’s scared of her, even going to the school next year, even the year after he’ll still have to see her if she’s in the building. That’s probably going to scare him.” Now, and not surprisingly, Ian’s parents are demanding Williams’ firing. “We thought it was a little incident … that’s what the school made it sound like . All of a sudden, we get this video today and this is just outrageous,” Anthony said. The Justin Bieber deposition has provided us with some of the funniest video clips in recent memory, so we were disappointed to learn today that Bieber’s manager Scooter Braun skipped his own sit-down with attorneys scheduled for today. TMZ reports that Braun bailed on the deposition in order to avoid being humiliated by the same hard-nosed lawyer that questioned Justin. Specifically, Scooter is concerned that lawyers for the photographer who was allegedly assaulted by Bieber’s bodyguard last year will ask Braun if he’s ever seen Justin use steroids. Reportedly fearing that video of his deposition would be leaked to TMZ (as it almost certainly would) Braun was a no-show for today’s proceedings, and he instead sent his lawyer, who delivered documents requesting a guarantee that the footage be kept under wraps. Smart move from a smart guy. Braun and Bieber’s partnership dates back to 2006 when the then-unknown music producer and talent agent discovered the Canadian crooner on YouTube. Whether you love the Biebs or hate him, you’ve gotta give Braun props for recognizing a goldmine when he saw one. Even if it was an incredibly douchey goldmine with a penchant for egging its neighbors houses. The lawsuit against Bieber’s bodyguard is unlikely to be settled any time soon, but hopefully in the meantime it’ll give us more humorous antics and maybe even some insight into this Bieber on roids rumor.
