Joan Rivers Bashes Lindsay Lohan, Samantha Ronson Sticks Up For Troubled Ex on Twitter

When veteran comedian Joan Rivers took to Twitter to go off on Lindsay Lohan, the star’s ex-girlfriend, Samantha Ronson, came to her defense. The 77-year-old had joked: “Lindsay Lohan said she wouldn’t mind being under oath because she thought Oath was a Norwegian ski instructor.” “Lindsay Lohan is so dumb. Her idea of being sworn in is cursing at the judge. I was reading about the Lindsay Lohan diet … all liquid. 80 Proof.” Those were pretty good. But SamRo was not pleased. “Hey Joan Rivers you have collagen older than Lindsay, pick on someone your own age, oh wait, I guess people that old can’t hear,” she Tweeted. Lindsay Lohan, who dated Sam for over a year, thanked her ex for defending her, tweeting: ‘@samantharonson thank you 😉 I love yams x’. The alleged actress was recently sentenced to 90 days in jail by a judge in Beverly Hills for violating her probation and must surrender July 20. Since the judge laid the smack down last week, Lindsay has been seen out and about with mom Dina, sister Ali and “close friend” Eilat Anschel . Lohan appeared relatively upbeat, saying “thank you” when a passer-by gave her some words of encouragement, but Dina admits she’s scared. Sources say she plans to appeal the sentence, but given her track record with probation and the fact that she’s totally guilty, that’s a stretch. It looks like the whiner is headed to jail for at least part of the 90-day term, and shouldn’t expect a lot of sympathy from Rivers, who writes: “Lindsay Lohan had “F**k You” painted on her nails . What people don’t know is that the judge had ‘Eat me you party skank’ painted on hers.” NOTE : Click here to follow THG on Twitter ! We promise we won’t start a feud with you … unless you really want us to, in which case it is so on.

Lindsay Lohan’s Profane Nail Art Sends Mixed Message In Court

Photos show the actress had the words ‘F— U’ written on the nail of her middle finger. By Gil Kaufman Lindsay Lohan at her court hearing on July 6 Photo: David McNew/ Getty Images As Lindsay Lohan tearfully, humbly pleaded with Judge Marsha Revel in a Beverly Hills, California, courtroom on Tuesday, the actress was subtly sending a somewhat different message with her nail. Lohan, 24, who was sentenced to 90 days in jail to be followed by 90 days in rehab for violating her probation from a 2007 DUI case by missing weekly alcohol-education classes . Close-ups of photos taken by The Associated Press revealed that Lohan had the message “F— U” written on the airbrushed nail of the middle finger on her left hand, which she frequently pressed to her lips and cheek during Tuesday’s hearing. At press time, it was unclear if Lohan entered the courtroom with the profane nail art or if she scribbled it on during the course of the nearly day-long hearing. It was also unclear for whom the message was intended. Lohan’s lawyer could not be reached for comment. “As far as I knew, I was in compliance with my programs. … I wasn’t trying to get special treatment,” said Lohan, whose crying jag instantly became a ubiquitous image on the Internet within minutes of the sentencing. “I have to provide for myself. I have to work. Having said that, I did everything to balance my jobs and showing up. … I’m not taking this as a joke; it’s my life and career. … I take responsibility for my actions. I’ve tried to do the best I can. It’s been such a long haul. I don’t want you to think I don’t respect you and your terms.” A legal analyst for the “Today” show, Dan Abrams, said on Wednesday morning that the sentence handed down was a “very stiff” one that was most likely meant to send a message to Lohan, as well as to the rest of the community looking on. “If she’d been anyone else, she’d be serving less time than anyone else in this case,” Abrams said. Lohan is scheduled to surrender on July 20 to begin serving her jail term and is likely to only serve a quarter of her sentence due to jail overcrowding, meaning she could be out after serving less than 25 days. Lindsay Lohan Likely To Serve A Fraction Of Her Sentence

L.A. County Sheriff spokesman says nonviolent female offenders generally only serve 25 percent or less of their sentences. By Kelley L. Carter Lindsay Lohan in court Tuesday Photo: Dave McNew/ Getty Images Right after Lindsay Lohan was sentenced to 90 days in jail for violating probation, a Los Angeles County Sheriff spokesman said she likely will only serve a fraction of the time. Steve Whitmore talked to reporters outside of the court Tuesday (July 6) and said that, because of overcrowding, women sent to jail for nonviolent crimes generally only serve 25 percent or less of their sentence. The exact time will depend on the wording of the judge’s order and the level of overcrowding, reports the Los Angeles Times. “A person [of] such notoriety will be kept away from the general population,” Whitmore added. Lohan, 24, also was sentenced to 90 days of inpatient rehab. The actress was tearful earlier in court before Judge Marsha N. Revel’s sentencing. “I wasn’t trying to get special treatment,” Lohan said in court. “I have to provide for myself. I have to work. Having said that, I did everything to balance my jobs and showing up. I’m not taking this as a joke. It’s my life. It’s my career. … I take responsibility for my actions. I’ve tried to do the best I can. It’s been such a long haul. I don’t want you to think that I don’t respect you.” Her plea wasn’t enough. Lohan had failed to attend alcohol-education classes , and the judge also cited several instances from over the past few years, saying the actress lied about drinking and taking drugs. “It’s like someone who cheats but doesn’t think it’s cheating if they don’t get caught,” Revel said in court. Lohan will serve her time in Century Regional Detention Facility in Lynwood. She is scheduled to begin her sentence July 20. Max B Talks From Jail About Appealing 75-Year Sentence: ‘I’ll Be Home’

‘I’m not worried about the sentence, because I’m not doing that time,’ he tells MTV News. By Shaheem Reid Max B and French Montana Photo: MTV News As it stands right now, Max B is facing 75 years in prison after he was convicted of manslaughter, aggravated assault, robbery, kidnapping, possession of a weapon and conspiracy in 2009. But the New York MC said he’s staying as positive as possible and operating under the radar. When MTV News got him on the phone Monday (June 28) from New Jersey State Penitentiary in Trenton, he explained why he recently fired his trial lawyer, Gerald M. Saluti. “Anytime you lose trial, most of the times, on most occasions, people will fire their trial lawyer,” he said. “You would need to do something like that. For those who’s not familiar with legal terms, it’s called ineffective assistance of counsel. You would have to do that. That’s when your lawyer fails to do his obligated duties. I ain’t supposed to be in here in the first place. My charges were excessive. I was never at the scene of the crime. It’s very insufficient. Just off that alone, I’ll be back. It ain’t about me being convicted. It’s about: Can this conviction stand up in an appellate court? If they deny me on this one, then I’mma do an interview and tell the people, ‘Don’t wait up on me.’ It’s gonna be about four, five, six years later than that.” Max (born Charlie Wingate) was convicted of masterminding the robbery of David Taylor and Allan Plowden. The pair was set up by Max’s former girlfriend Gina Conway, who testified for the prosecution in the trial in exchange for a lighter sentence. Jurors felt that there was enough evidence to convict Max’s stepbrother Kelvin Leerdam of being the gunman and murderer of Taylor. Although Max wasn’t at the scene, jurors handed down a guilty verdict to him as well. Max was sentenced to 75 years in prison in September, but he said the term was reduced to 40. The prosecutor in the case had not returned MTV News’ calls for comment as of press time. “The sentence wasn’t really nothing,” Max said. “It was the ‘guilty’ that was more effective. The part when the jurors say ‘guilty.’ That hurts more than the sentence itself. At that time, I’m coming to court every day. I got the cameras on me. I got my girls waiting outside. I got French [Montana] and them n—as in the parking lot. My Beamer is parked in the lot. My jewelry is on. But now, when they say I’m guilty, I gotta take off my watch. I gotta take off my chain. I gotta pass it off. I pass off my car keys, my apartment keys, and I gotta walk to the back. I can’t walk out that gate. I gotta walk to the back and get locked up. That’s the part that hurt me the most. The sentence, by the time I got to that point, I didn’t hear none of that. I was already deaf to that sh–. My focus was already, ‘All right, we trying to get back.’ I’m not worried about the sentence, because I’m not doing that time. That’s not a number to me. They could’ve gave me a billion years, that sh– is not gonna stand up. That has to stand up in an appellate court. Now if [an appeals court] say, ‘Charlie Wingate, we found no error, you can’t come home’ — once I exhaust all my remedies, that’s different. But it’s still early. I’m on my direct appeal. I’ll be home.” It could be quite some time. Max said, realistically, he’ll have to do at least another year and a half in jail. “They should feel grateful. They should be thankful they got another chance,” Max said of his peers, such as Lil Wayne, Gucci Mane and T.I., who were all sentenced to around a year in prison. “Even though I got another chance, it might not come as easy and quick. My sh– might take up to three years for me to get outta here. It might be 18 months. But that’s just the worst-case scenario. The only person I felt really caught a rough deal was Remy [Ma] . Our situations was similar, as far as the lawyer and stuff go. [Remy] was working and not really focusing on the case at hand. Same thing with me. I was working, not focusing on the case at hand that mattered. And the end, when I had to go in that courtroom, I wasn’t prepared. I just let my lawyer do whatever. That’s a lesson. You got be on top of lawyers, you gotta do your own studying when you get situations like that. You can’t put your faith in his hands. They’re only human. Humans disappoint people. You gotta put your faith in God. You gotta work hard. It’s gonna be all right.” In the meantime, Max’s work will be heard. He recorded dozens of tracks before going to prison, and the music will be brought to the fans by the label Amalgam Digital. The company just put out the Mixtape A Wave Called Yes, which features Max and his rap accomplice Young Riot. Max’s next solo LP, Vigilante Season, is set to drop later this fall. Look for more of Max as he expounds on both projects Tuesday in Mixtape Daily. Related Artists Max B.
