NCIS is about to lose another series regular. Two years after Cote de Pablo exited the highest-rated show on network television, TV Line has confirmed that Michael Weatherly will depart the series after 13 seasons. The actor will wrap up his run as Special Agent Tony DiNozzo this May. “After 13 years on NCIS, Michael Weatherly is leaving the show at the end of this season,” reads a statement from CBS. “He is a valued part of the CBS family, and the immense charm and talent he brings to the screen as ‘Very’ Special Agent Tony DiNozzo has helped make NCIS what it is today – the No. 1 drama in the world.” The statement concluded: “We thank Michael for all of his contributions to this successful franchise and look forward to continuing to develop projects him as part of our ongoing development deal.” View Slideshow: 11 TV Co-Stars Who Hated Each Other in Real Life Upon seeing the news went public, Weatherly jumped on Twitter and wrote: “DiNozzo is a wonderful, quixotic character and I couldn’t have had more fun playing him over the past 13 seasons….
