Slaughterhouse’s Joe Budden Explains Delay In Signing With Eminem’s Shady Records

‘Very early on, the four of us agreed that Shady would be the best place for the group to be,’ Budden says. By Paul Cantor Joe Budden Photo: Johnny Nunez/ WireImage On the heels of the announcement on Wednesday that Eminem has signed Slaughterhouse to his Shady Records imprint, members of the group are beginning to speak out about the deal. Crooked I has already alluded to Shady giving the group a “bigger stage,” and Royce Da 5’9 summed up their collective feelings in two words: “We’re excited.” And now, in a video interview with rap website Real Talk NY on Thursday, group member Joe Budden weighed in. “This group was put together for a reason, and we had a lot of things in common,” said the Jersey City-bred MC, poised in front of a mixing console in an undisclosed recording studio. “And we were passionate about a lot of things that it just so happened that Eminem [was] just as passionate about.” According to Budden, the deal with Shady Records took “a little over a year.” Typically, recording contracts don’t take nearly that long to hammer out. He attributed the length of the process to members of Slaughterhouse already being industry veterans with separate careers, and the fact that their 2009 self-titled LP sold well, perhaps giving the group leverage in negotiating their contract. “We didn’t send a demo in,” he said. “We was four pretty much established artists that have been around for a little bit so … we put out an album that did well, that sold 85 percent of what we shipped.” Despite how long the deal took, Budden said Shady was the label Slaughterhouse wanted to align itself with ever since the group was consummated in 2008. “Very early on, the four of us agreed that Shady would be the best place for the group to be,” he said, “before our first album was finished.” In very unspecific terms, Budden mentioned Royce Da 5’9’s past relationship with Eminem being a factor in the deal getting done. The Detroit natives collaborated often in their early careers, but had a falling out in the early aughts. Royce famously warred with Eminem’s D12 crew on countless tracks over the years, until finally reconciling with Slim Shady in 2008. “It was way too much sh– that went into it,” Joe said of the Shady signing. “It was very deep.” On camera, visibly weary of talking about what may have slowed the deal down, Budden instead tried to focus on the positive. “Just the fact that Em is so passionate about the project,” he said. “It’s one thing to get a record deal, and it’s one thing to get a record deal with someone who gets it. And he gets it. So it’s something we’re all excited about and we can’t wait to get in.” Related Photos Eminem And The New Shady Records Family Related Artists Joe Budden Slaughterhouse Eminem

‘American Idol’ TCA Panel: Our Top Five Season 10 Discoveries

Ryan Seacrest and the newbie judges talk ‘Idol’ at Television Critics Association event, and we got the dish. By Kara Warner Steven Tyler, Jennifer Lopez and Randy Jackson at the 2011 TCA Tour Photo: Frederick M. Brown/ Getty Images It’s hard to believe we’re just one week from the season 10 premiere of “American Idol.” Seems like just yesterday Lee DeWyze was crowned champion, Simon Cowell bid viewers a tearful goodbye and Fox took to cleaning house on the judges panel. Ellen DeGeneres left, Kara DioGuardi headed for the exit and Randy stayed. And after headline-making debate as to who would replace the newly departed judges, we learned that pop icons Steven Tyler and Jennifer Lopez would join Jackson. And a new era of “Idol” was born. With a nod to that new era, the “Idol” team — host Ryan Seacrest, Jackson, Lopez, Tyler and executive producer Nigel Lythgoe — appeared at the Television Critics Association’s biannual event on Tuesday to talk about the 10th season. While much of the 45-minute TCA press conference was spent discussing things we already knew (changes to the show’s format, the newbie judges’ style), we did get some scoops and narrowed them into a list of our top five favorites. J.Lo’s Glam-tastic Wardrobe Although Lopez said she won’t wear anything particularly fancy or have clothing made specifically for the show, the singer’s wardrobe will certainly be a conversation topic this season. Did you see the unique jumper she sported back in September during the official judges’ announcement? It’s a shame her footwear will be concealed behind that panel table. Steven Tyler Is the New Paula Steven Tyler will fill the wackiness void left by Paula Abdul. Yes, the Aerosmith frontman has said that he wanted to be on “Idol” because of a viewing of Lopez’s rom-com “The Backup Plan” (he savored the chance to sit next to Lopez). But Tyler’s best moment was in response to a question about whether “Idol” producers would put him on a five-second delay as a precaution for any swear-word slippage. Tyler’s answer? “F— no!” You Can Count on Randy, Dawg! In a season rife with change, we can count on veteran Randy to be the reliable, enthusiastic judge we know and love. Although he claimed he’ll bring more heat in season 10 — “A little less yo’s, a little more ‘no’s. You’ll see more hair on the Dawg.” — we’ll have to see it to believe it. ‘Idol’ Songwriters? The potential train wreck (or genius) that could ensue in allowing contestants to pen original songs will be must-see TV. Executive producer Ken Warwick was quoted saying that everyone was “pleasantly surprised” by two contestants’ efforts in that area thus far. Simon Says We will miss Simon Cowell. It’s not that we aren’t already rooting for the new panel, but no one cuts to the chase or brings delusional contestants to their knees quite like Cowell. On the fluffiest, most extravagant talent show in history, his acerbic voice of reason was sometimes the only one worth listening to. “American Idol” premieres Wednesday, January 19, at 8 p.m. ET on Fox. Eminem Signs Slaughterhouse, Yelawolf To Shady Records

Cashis and D-12 remain on the roster as Shady enters ‘new generation.’ By Jayson Rodriguez, with reporting by Sway Calloway Eminem, Slaughterhouse and Yelawolf on the March 2010 cover of XXL magazine Photo: Kai Regan/ Harris Publications Eminem is back in more ways than one. The Detroit lyricist is reviving his Shady Records company, and Wednesday (January 12) he announced the signing of two new acts: underground supergroup Slaughterhouse and upstart rapper Yelawolf . Cashis and D-12 remain on the roster, but Em made no secret of wanting to bring new life to his company. “Yelawolf and Slaughterhouse, it’s kinda phase two of Shady,” Eminem explained in a statement. “It’s the new generation of Shady Records, and as we’re trying to rebuild our label, it’s exciting for hip-hop, and with all of these forces coming together and with what everybody’s capable of on the mic, it’s gonna be fun.” The four-man Slaughterhouse collective — Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I and Royce Da 5’9″ — was in talks with Shady Records for longer than a year working on the deal. “I been answering that question for a year and change, ever since that Drake ‘Forever’ music video,” Budden told MTV News during an appearance on “RapFix Live,” citing a scene where the group stands behind Em during his verse. “It’s like, Eminem is a whole nother entity. The guy is nominated for 10 Grammys.” Southern rhyme slinger Yelawolf is backed by music industry veteran Kawan “KP” Prather, who inked an upstart T.I. to his first deal and helped Usher on the superstar’s Confessions album. “Considering where I’m from and the sh– I’ve been through, it’s hard to put into words what partnering with Shady means to me, my team at Ghet-O-Vision and my state of Alabama,” Yela said in prepared remarks. “I can tell you that when you’re willing to give your life up to see a dream through, the reward is great,” he continued. “And now that I’ve become an apprentice to one of the greatest artists in the world, my potential reaches beyond anything I ever imagined. Let’s kill this sh–.” Both acts are expected to deliver projects in the coming months. What other artists would you like to see on Shady Records? Share your ideas in the comments below! Joe Budden Says Eminem/Slaughterhouse Deal ‘Not Done’

‘[It’s] too premature for me to speak on,’ Jersey MC says of whether supergroup will sign with Shady, on ‘RapFix Live.’ By Mawuse Ziegbe, with reporting by Sway Calloway Joe Budden Photo: Rich Sancho/ MTV News For fans of the supergroup Slaughterhouse, Joe Budden has one thing he can confirm about the crew’s buzzed-about deal with Eminem: It’s too early to confirm anything. Whispers that the hip-hop A-Team of Budden, Crooked I, Royce Da 5’9″ and Joell Ortiz will ink a contract with the Shady Records boss have followed the foursome for a while, but while closing a deal with the Detroit hip-hop head looks promising, nothing has been nailed down just yet. “The deal is not done. If everything goes according to plan, [then] hopefully. [It’s] too premature for me to speak on,” Budden said during his “RapFix Live” interview on Thursday (December 16). Even though Budden doesn’t have any new answers for Slaughterhouse acolytes eager for an official stamp of approval from Em, the Mood Muzik MC noted that he’s been fielding the same fan inquiries for a minute. “I’ve been answering that same question for a … year and change. Maybe ever since the Drake “Forever” video … when Slaughterhouse was standing with Eminem, I’ve been answering Eminem questions,” he said. “Eminem is a whole ‘nother entity, the guy’s nominated for 10 Grammys.” Em may be a chart-ruling trophy magnet but Budden said the first time he chopped it up with the Recovery lyricist, it was his wit that made an impression on the New Jersey-bred spitter. “[He said] something real sarcastic. Something sarcastic as far as rapping goes. I think it was about a verse that I was doing. It’s OK. But he’s funny like that,” Budden recalled, before explaining Shady’s disarmingly down-to-earth charm. “It’s almost like you’re not even talking to him, like he’s not who he is. I’m a huge fan, so I’ll be sitting there like, ‘Holy snap, it’s Em,’ then [you’re] cracking jokes the next minute. [He’s] just a real cool guy.” Budden also told MTV News last month that despite his outsize fame, Em remains a dedicated guardian of hip-hop culture. “Em, to be as successful as he is, and I’ll just tell this to anybody with two ears, or one ear, for that matter, is just one of the most supportive hip-hop people that I’ve met,” he said. “He’s really, really just into hip-hop and rap and lyrics. He’s just really into all of the things that group was built around.” What are you looking forward to from Slaughterhouse and Joe Budden? Let us know in the comments! Eminem, Jay-Z Joined By Dr. Dre, Drake At Historic Detroit Concert

D12, 50 Cent and G-Unit, Young Jeezy also hit Comerica Park stage as Em, Hov unleash flurry of hits on first stop of Home and Home Tour. By Shaheem Reid Eminem and Jay-Z (file) Photo: Kristian Dowling/ Getty Images Detroit hasn’t screamed this loud at a baseball park since Kirk Gibson was hitting home runs in the 1984 World Series. Hip-hop history was made as Jay-Z and Eminem co-headlined the Motor City’s Comerica Park (home of the D-Town Tigers for the past decade) on Thursday night (September 2), the first of two shows on consecutive nights. While Jay’s high-grossing touring schedule helped him to top this year’s Forbes’ “Hip-Hop Cash King” list , Eminem took a much-needed sabbatical to deal with a myriad of personal issues. Now beyond his darkest hour, Em had one of his brightest moments ever onstage. Not only did he gift his hometown with a seemingly endless string of hits, he pulled off some major surprises. After D12, 50 Cent and the G-Unit — acts that fans likely expected — came out for performances with Em, Slim Shady pulled off a shocker. Dr. Dre came out, first stunning the people then delighting them with smashes. After his name appeared on the Comerica big screen, the man heralded by many as the greatest producer of his time came out to the opening notes of his world-famous “Next Episode.” Then the familiar first keys of “Still Dre” were played. “Haters say Dre fell off,” the Doc rapped. “How n—a? My last album was The Chronic. ” After that, the Shady/Aftermath duo took it back to Dre’s Chronic days with “Nuthin’ But a ‘G’ Thang.” “One, two, three and to the fo,” Em rapped in Snoop’s cadence. ” ‘Cause you know we came to rip sh– up!” Dre spit later. Dr. Dre appeared to be in the best shape of his life. Wearing a T-shirt with the late Proof’s face printed on it, Dre looked strong enough to end the Undertaker’s undefeated streak at Wrestlemania. “Got dammit, Detroit. Do I love you or what?” Eminem asked his fans. “Look what I brought out for you.” Em then told Dre he wanted him to feel the love; Detox chants followed. “Deeee-tox. Deeee-tox,” they yelled from the bleachers to the bullpen. Dre just smiled and said, “I’m Comin’!” One would-be guest who couldn’t attend for obvious reasons was Lil Wayne. But Shady made sure to salute Weezy after “No Love.” And the Young Money flag did wave proudly in Detroit as Drake came out for “Forever” and gave a special nod to the Motor City. “In Detroit, faded off the brown,” Drake rapped. “Nino!!!!” the crowd responded. “I’m so honored to be here to tonight. This is history in the making. I want y’all to make some noise for the muthaf—in’ legend that is Emimem.” Em’s legend was largely built off his mastery of music and a catalog made for the kind of environment he played on Thursday: stadiums. The Detroit rapper has been making sing-along anthems throughout his career. Not just tracks you rap in the shower or in the car, but big records like “Sing for the Moment,” “Stan” and “Cleaning Out My Closet” — tracks practically begging for an audience of tens of thousands holding lighters up. Em proved he still has that rare connection with his fanbase. Grown men took off their shirts and got rock-n-roll rowdy when he rapped. “Got dammit, Detroit, I’m back,” Em said early on in the night. “Did you miss me?” It was clear that Em missed his fans as well. He was engaging, lively and energetic on this night. After the “Real Slim Shady” and “Without Me,” Em thanked his fans again. “I love you. This song is for you.” “Not Afraid” followed. After screams of “encore, encore,” Em brought out the Unit, D12 and Detroit legend Trick Trick who had earlier performed on “Lose Yourself.” Thursday’s Home and Home show kicked off with B.o.B, who came back later for “Airplanes, Pt. 2,” and set the tone with a quick set that included “Nothin’ on You.” The audience was eventually alerted that the Jiggaman was 10 minutes away from showtime. Two clocks filled two oversize screens on the enormous stage while the Beastie Boys’ “No Sleep Till Brooklyn” blared from the speakers. When the countdown hit “0,” Jay rose from beneath the stage, the lyrically intricate “Dynasty Intro” being played by his band, the Roc Boys. Then a brief snippet of “Lucifer” played before Jay went into his jaw-dropping verse from Rick Ross’ “Free Mason.” During “D.O.A. (Death of Auto-Tune),” Jay rhymed “this might need a verse from Jeezy.” On cue, the Snowman came out for the “Dey Know” remix followed by “Soul Survivor.” His mini-set ended with “Put on for My City” and “Lose My Mind.” After that though, it was the Jay hit parade — with assistance from Memphis Bleek. The Brooklyn duo rocked with a flurry of big records, including “You Don’t Know,” “99 Problems” and “(Originator 99).” During “Big Pimpin’,” Jay delivered Pimp C’s verse in the late UGK legend’s cadence. “What y’all know about them Deetroit boys?” Hov asked. A tribute to hip-hop’s fallen soldiers ensued, as the audience shouted in unison, “Prrrrrooooooooof!” “I know y’all going through a lot, but Detroit has heart and Detroit will be back,” Jay said. Hov and Slim Shady shared but a few minutes of stage time as Jay emerged for “Renegade” during Em’s set. The Home and Home Tour continues Friday night (September 3) at Comerica Park and comes to the Bronx, New York, on September 13 and 14 at Yankee Stadium. Were you at Jay and Em’s Detroit stop? Eminem Wanted Recovery To Be ‘Different,’ Alex Da Kid Recalls

‘He was looking for new things,’ the ‘Love the Way You Lie’ producer tells MTV News. By Jayson Rodriguez Eminem Photo: Kevin Winter/ Getty Images Despite countless attempts to get in touch with the Shady Records camp, Alex Da Kid kept striking out. The British producer contacted Eminem’s management and sent various beats, but none of them made the Detroit MC take notice. Then Alex produced B.o.B’s “Airplanes,” featuring Paramore’s Hayley Williams, and suddenly, Em was the one reaching out to him. The rapper loved “Airplanes” so much that he dropped a verse for the remix, “Airplanes, Part II.” It wasn’t until later, however, that the Shady One realized the producer of B.o.B’s hit was the same guy who was sending him musical samplings. According to Alex Da Kid, Em’s camp then reached out and requested “something different.” “A lot of time, generally in the industry, [artists] will say they want something different, but they don’t know what that is until they hear it,” said Alex, who produced Recovery ‘s “Love the Way You Lie,” featuring Rihanna . “So you kind of just go out there yourself. ‘Cause if you chase what they did before, it never really works out, and I wanna do different things anyway. That’s my thing. I took his past work into account, but he was looking for new things, and I did my thing, and luckily it worked out.” The producer, who also helmed Nicki Minaj’s first single, “Massive Attack,” sent over only one beat, and Eminem jumped at the record. The result was “Love the Way You Lie,” an ode of sorts to the rapper’s tumultuous relationship with ex-wife Kim. Rihanna recently spoke about the collaboration and explained how Eminem got her to appear on the track. “They reached out to us directly, and they just said, ‘We have this song, and we just think Rihanna would be perfect to sing it,’ ” Rihanna recalled in an interview with E!’s Ben Lyons. “And, of course, I was like, ‘OK, if I love it, I’ll definitely do it, because I love Eminem.’ And I love the song. “It’s really beautiful, and it really stands out,” Rihanna added. “It’s a really unique record. I’m really excited about it.” What do you think of “Love the Way You Lie”? Share your thoughts in the comments. Pitbull Says Music Was A ‘Hobby,’ On ‘When I Was 17’

Rapper’s drama teacher was ‘the first person who really believed in me.’ By Kara Warner Pitbull Photo: MTV News Recent forays into celebrities’ formative years on MTV’s “When I Was 17” have included everything from bad-hair horror stories to sports dreams to online-auction obsessions. We delve into Pitbull’s past on this week’s episode, in which the rapper reveals the beginnings of his music career and sends a special shout-out to a high school drama teacher for believing in his potential. “Music to me is something I did as a hobby,” the 29-year-old admits on the show. “I did it in school, freestylin’ against cats. … My drama teacher [saw] me one day battlin’ someone. She thought it was a fight, because there were 200, 300 kids all around, trying to watch what’s going on.” “I was blown away by him,” said Hope, Pit’s drama teacher. “You couldn’t take your eyes off him.” Pitbull, whose real name is Armando Christian Perez, remembers that moment fondly and with appreciation: “When she saw it, she was the first person who really believed in me.” Pit once told MTV News his rise to fame has been an experiment and an education. He counts his struggles and his successes as a blessing. “If you continue to work hard, let that be the fuel to your fire.” Along with past hits like “I Know You Want Me (Calle Ocho)” and “Go Girl,” you can catch Pitbull rollin’ with Enrique Iglesias and the “Jersey Shore” cast in Iglesias’ new single and video for “I Like It.” “When I Was 17” — this week featuring Pitbull, Vanessa Minnillo and Chris Paul — airs Saturday at 11 a.m. on MTV.

Bizarre Says Eminem, D12 ‘Back In The Lab’ For New Mixtape, Album

‘We’re in our little grimy studio and we’re knocking it out,’ Biz says, in Mixtape Daily. By Shaheem Reid Bizarre Photo: Shady The O.D.: A Mixtape Daily Exclusive D12’s Bizarre says “the Band” is back in the lab making music together. The Detroit collective are simultaneously recording their next official LP and a new mixtape. “It took Marshall a little bit of time to get on his grind,” Biz said of his D12 partner Eminem. “Now he’s about to drop the Recovery album. I got my album, I snuck it in there,” added the rapper, who just released his solo independent LP, Friday Night at St. Andrews. “Right now we’re working on this mixtape. We decided we should work on this mixtape to get the streets a little hot right quick then drop the album. We’re kinda doing both at the same time. We’re definitely back in the lab working. All original material,” Biz said of the tape. “If you got some beats man, hit me up, man. We don’t discriminate when it comes to music — ain’t no politics with us. If you got some fresh music, some hotness, we got you.” Biz noted that with all the fellas back together after a long hiatus, which included grieving over the death of their partner Proof in 2006, the vibe finally felt right. “It’s good, man,” he said. “It’s a nice feelin’, man. We’re taking it back to the roots. We’re in our little grimy studio and we’re knocking it out. I can’t describe the feeling. To get back in there with the group and get on some beats, it’s a challenge within ourselves. We don’t even let each other hear each other’s verse before we rap, so you definitely need to be trying to come with it. It’s a friendly competition thing. It’s a lot of pressure, but it’s good pressure.” It’s probably no surprise that the guy who’s really terrorizing the booth on both efforts is Em. “Em is sounding crazy,” his longtime friend said. “He always sounds crazy. This dude is an alien. He’s probably got hundreds of raps thought about already, in different styles and different patterns. That’s one dude you can’t compare yourself to … or worry about what he’s doing. If you worry about that cat, you’re gonna be lost.” While his rhymes will surely reign on the D12 project, whether we’ll hear any beats from the Shady Records head is up in the air. “Em ain’t really into producing no more, but he’s gonna be on both projects,” Biz said. Neither D12 project has a release date, but Biz said he thinks the mixtape will drop in the fall on the mischief-making Devil’s Night. For now, Bizarre is pushing his solo LP and recording. “It’s a … historic place in Detroit,” he explained of his album’s title. “[St. Andrews], it was a church that they turned into a club and had hip-hop on Friday night. Being that Detroit is such a gangsta city, this was the only outlet we really had for hip-hop, breakdancing and battling. Basically, I’m paying homage.” For other artists featured in Mixtape Daily, check out Mixtape Daily Headlines or follow the Mixtape Daily team on Twitter: @shaheemreid and @mongosladenyc .

Eminem Keeping June 22 Recovery Release Date, Despite Leak

MC has often moved up release dates after album leaks in the past. By Jayson Rodriguez Eminem’s Recovery album Photo: Interscope Eminem changed the rules regarding album’s traditional Tuesday releases in the past, when the MC would push up the date by weeks after his projects were bootlegged or leaked online. Now, with his forthcoming Recovery set having hit the Web two weeks early , the rapper has reportedly decided to keep the same June 22 release date. According to XXLmag.com , a representative for Em confirmed the date would stay the same despite the album being available illegally. An Interscope Records spokesperson was unavailable at press time when contacted by MTV News. Recovery arrived online and via blogs earlier this week, following the lead single “Not Afraid” and the Pink-assisted “Won’t Back Down” . The first video from the project, “Not Afraid,” premiered Sunday and departs from the rapper’s usual satirical efforts. Last month, Eminem revealed the tracklisting for Recovery, and the rapper chose to work with Lil Wayne, Pink, and Rihanna for the project. In the past, he’s kept his circle of collaborators short, mostly limited to the Shady/Aftermath camp, including Dr. Dre and 50 Cent. For this collection, however, Eminem chose to work with a bevy of new contributors, such as producers Just Blaze, Jim Johnson, and DJ Khalil. “A lot of good music is being made [by Eminem],” Just Blaze told MTV News in April. “He’s really back spitting. The wordplay is crazy, the metaphors are crazy. He’s really back on his game. He had his ups, he had his downs, he’s back way, way, way up. This is definitely going to be up there with the best of his albums, for sure, for sure. The fact that he’s branched out working with a lot of different people now, collaborating in a lot of different ways that he never has before, I think he’s going to surprise a lot of people.” Are you excited to hear Eminem’s new album? Eminem Reveals He’s ‘Rebuilding’ Shady Records

‘There’s a new group we’re looking to sign, Slaughterhouse,’ Em says of hip-hop group. By Jayson Rodriguez Eminem Photo: Universal With the release last year of his album Relapse, Eminem announced to the world that he was looking after himself and his music after a five-year hiatus. Now, as he puts the finishing touches on his follow-up, Recovery, the Detroit MC says he plans to focus on his record label, Shady Records. In an interview with BBC’s Radio 1 on Friday (June 4), Eminem was asked about mentoring up-and-coming rappers, and Em admitted he’d been eying a few acts. “We’re kinda trying to start the process of rebuilding our label, Shady Records,” he said. “I’m sure I’ll be looking for younger talent, coming up. There’s a new group we’re looking to sign, Slaughterhouse,” he said referring to the rap supergroup made up of Joe Budden, Joell Ortiz, Crooked I, and Royce da 5’9″. “But I don’t want to give anything away. We’re looking at a few [artists] now.” Slaughterhouse has been linked to Em for some time, beginning last year when the foursome appeared with Eminem in Drake’s “Forever” video. Their cameo led to speculation that the heralded underground lyricists would soon be connecting with the Slim Shady camp. Royce da 5’9″ spoke to MTV News in September and didn’t deny the rumors. “It’s very much what it looks like,” Royce said of Slaughterhouse joining the Shady roster. “That’s always a possibility. It’s conversations being had, very good conversations. I just did an interview recently and they asked me to address the rumors. I said, ‘Rumors are what they are, people see things and they jump to a conclusion.’ I never said it wasn’t going to happen — I left it right there in the middle. I think it would be a great thing if it could happen.” Earlier this year, Ortiz said negotiations were in the “ninth inning,” but more important, the Brooklyn wordsmith revealed Slaughterhouse and Emimem have already begun collaborating on music while they wait for the ink to dry on the paperwork. “We got in the studio with Em already,” he said. “We traded bars and stuff with all of us.” Which MCs would you like to see Eminem sign to Shady Records?
