Haitian singer Wyclef Jean was shot in his hand in Haiti just outside of Port-au-Prince yesterday, the day before the presidential elections. Wyclef was a candidate for the presidential elections however, was ruled ineligible due to residency requirements. He was treated at a local hospital and was released. TMZ reports that the bullet grazed his hand and that “he’s fine now. It happened late yesterday night and he was released after a couple hours.” When asked about the shooting, Wyclef stated that he was just leaving his car when he heard gunfire and then he noticed that he saw blood on his shirt and shoes and had no idea who fired shots and whether or not he was the target. Wyclef recently performed at a concert given for Haitian presidential candidate Michel Martelly right before the shooting occurred. Glad to hear he’s okay! Jesus, Mary, and Joseph, is NOTHING sacred anymore?!?! A Decatur man who turned himself in to police Thursday has been charged with fatally shooting an Atlanta woman following a funeral. Kelvin S. Bradley, 26, allegedly shot Tomika Webb after the woman got into an altercation with mourners who had just attended funeral services. The man they were mourning was shot and killed one week earlier in front of the same Addison Place residence where Webb, 36, was found dead last Friday, Channel 2 Action News reports. According to Atlanta police, Webb had come to the funeral to confront someone. It’s unclear what prompted the dispute. As tempers flared, Webb attempted to flee in her Nissan Maxima but didn’t make it far, crashing into a few other vehicles before coming to a stop, police said. APD spokeswoman Kim Jones said Webb had gotten into an argument with a man, believed to be her alleged killer, prior to her death. Bradley is being held at Fulton County Jail. This story is just sad. Sad for the family attending the funeral. Sad for the family that just lost a sister, daughter, cousin, friend, behind this foolishness. We have GOT to stop killing each other. Period! Source

Photo courtesy of the AJC The AJC is reporting that friends and relatives of Asheley Jewell, the 15-year-old critically wounded in an apparent road rage incident, will hold a candlelight vigil Saturday near the site of the shooting. As we previously reported, Jewell was shot in the head on Saturday evening on Old National Highway. Jewell, a Stephenson High School sophomore, is the daughter of Kandi Burruss’ late fiance, A.J. Jewell, who died in 2009 after a fight outside the Body Tap strip club. Police have said that two cars were traveling on Old National Highway near Jerome Road when one started chasing the other. Shots were fired and Jewell, a passenger in the car being chased, was struck. No one else was hurt. Jewell was rushed to Grady and underwent surgery. She remains clinging to life. Anyone with information on the incident is urged to call Crime Stoppers Atlanta at 404-577-8477. The candlelight vigil will be held at 7 p.m. Saturday at O’Reilly Auto Parts, 5549 Old National Highway in College Park. Read more at the AJC.com. The family of Kandi Burruss ‘ late fiance A.J. Jewell has been hit by tragedy once again. A 15-year-old Stone Mountain girl was in critical condition Monday at Grady Memorial Hospital. Asheley Jewell was riding in a car with friends Saturday night when police say someone from another vehicle opened fire. Investigators said Jewell was riding in a car with friends on Old National Highway when another vehicle started chasing the car. Someone in the vehicle opened fire on the car Jewell was riding in, shooting the teen in the back of the head. Jewell was transported to the hospital in critical condition. Police said road rage may be a possible motive in the case. Jewell is the daughter of the late A.J. Jewell, the man who died after a fight outside an Atlanta strip club . Jewell was the one-time fiancé of Real Housewives of Atlanta cast member, Kandi Burruss. SMH. We hope this little girl makes pulls out and makes a speedy recovery. Source
