‘Jersey Shore’ High Five: Operation Rescue Vinny!

Plus, the Situation is hungover and the girls wear bunny suits in this week’s episode. By Jim Cantiello Mike “The Situation” on Thursday’s Episode of “Jersey Shore” Photo: MTV The Situation’s back and he got a Hugh Hefner-themed surprise party, what with the strippers and the wheelchairs. Here now, my five favorite moments from this week’s “Jersey Shore.” 5. Hungover Situation You can’t get any more DTF than a stripper, right? Wrong. Just ask the Situation , who brought home one of his party favors. “I don’t even remember her name. It might as well be A-nita because all night she was saying ‘I need a cigarette. I need French toast.’ Well I need you to get the hell out of my house!” I think Hungover Situation is my favorite Situation. On the other hand, dude, she’s a stripper who never actually took her clothes off. That’s like being mad at your anorexic friend for giving you a crappy restaurant recommendation. 4. Old Man With Vinny gone, Danny the T-shirt guy is looking to find a new employee/housemate and made J-Woww write up a “Help Wanted” sign after she tore down the first one. J-Woww says, “What should the sign say, because Danny’s being a douche …” “You should write, ‘See old man inside for details!’ ” the Situation laughs. The Situation – 1, Danny – 0. The Situation walks away, and J-Woww says under her breath, “But then people would think they should talk to you .” The Situation – 1, J-Woww – 1,000,000!! 3. Operation Rescue Vinny! What better way to help a guy with anxiety than to crowd him, shout loud things in his ear and bum-rush him in the comfort of his own home?! Um … get better Vinny! 2. Crack Is Wack! In all seriousness, Vinny was happy to jump in the car and return to Seaside with his roomies. Too bad they nearly died on the way back … [ They moon each other. Snooki sees “a ball.” They all scream. ] Don’t drink and drive. Don’t text and drive. Don’t try to blind people with your ugly-ass ass and drive. 1. Funny Bunnies Gotta hand it to MTV. Always looking to lure in new audiences for their programming. This week they dedicated a segment entirely to furries! Snooki and Deena hump each other in giant bunny costumes. Later, Snooki uses her new bunny costume for evil when she scares J-Woww. Amazing. Let’s just hope she doesn’t pull that on Vinny for a few days. Jersey Shore Sneak Peek: Party Store Tiiiiiime

Snooki and Deena hit up a local party supply store on an all-new Jersey Shore this evening. The results are about what you would expect from Team Meatball. When the vertically and intellectually challenged duo ventures out to buy supplies to throw a shindig for the guys, all hell breaks loose in the local party store. Donning giant rabbit heads, the two decide to go at it like that particular species, which is pretty much what goes on most night’s at Ocean Terrance in Seaside. Seriously. Sometimes Deena and Snooki make out with each other. Jersey Shore Sneak Peek: Party Time

‘Jersey Shore’ High Five: Coping With Vinny’s Absence

Plus, the Situation’s birthday tantrum and Snooki learns a new word. By Jim Cantiello Pauly D on Thursday’s episode of “Jersey Shore” With Vinny gone, the “Jersey Shore” cast spiraled out of control! Deena danced so hard that her hair extensions needed to be surgically removed, Snooki was half a body shot away from the morgue and the Situation “left the show” because nobody cared that it was birthday. Here are my five favorite moments from this week’s “Jersey Shore”: 5. A Tribute to the Fallen This week’s episode picked up where last week’s left off. Vinny went home to Staten Island to calm down after his anxiety flare-ups. You know, re-charge his batteries and get away from reality-TV cameras for a while. Wait, what? MTV sent a camera crew home with him? Get better, Vinny! Back in Seaside, Vinny’s housemates paid tribute to their fallen comrade in unique ways. Ron? “In honor of Vinny, I’m wearing skinny jeans!” Sweet! Respectful! Well done, Ron. How about you, Pauly? “I’m gonna smash this girl in Vinny’s bed in honor of Vinny leaving the house.” That’s … something! Snooki and Deena, you’re up next! “Meatball day! I love gay dudes! You can dance with them, and then at the end of the night, you’re not expected to give them …” — well, you get the idea. Forget Harvey Milk. I think the gay-rights movement has a new hero. And last but not least: the Situation, who honored Vinny by leaving the house! Except, instead of walking out for mental-health reasons, he did so because his castmates didn’t make him a birthday cake. America, don’t pay attention to the millionaire toddler having a temper tantrum. 4. Mrs. Sitch Speaking of the Situation, he might be on the path to “wife-ing” perennial hookup Paula. And if it happens, I vote Sammi as maid of honor. To quote Sammi: “I like Paula. She might be dirty and grimy and skanky and disgusting, but she’s pretty cool.” To the happy couple! 3. Presented Without Comment Deena: “I know I’m not the smartest crayon out of the box but this isn’t rocket scientists. We can start a party!” 2. Snooki the Word Nerd Snooki learned a new word! “My ass is protruding! Protruding!” Careful, Snooks! Don’t wake up the scary ancient vocabulary monster! “It’s the word of the day: ‘protruding.’ Let’s use it all day.” JWoww asks, “In what context?” [Cut to Madonna’s “20/20” interview: “Look it up.”] Alas, the vocab monster is now awake. 1. How Do You Say “DTF” in Bosnian? On Pauly’s b-day, fellow birthday boy Mike passed off a hot Bosnian girl to his buddy. But as soon as she got back to the house, it became painfully obvious that when “Jersey Shore” airs in Bosnia, they cut out all the sex stuff. [The Bosnian girl wants to talk all night rather than hooking up and is confused why other girls are there. Pauly gets mad, calls her a cab home and kicks her out.] First a war, now this. Will Bosnia ever catch a break? For continuing “Jersey Shore” coverage, be sure to check in with MTV’s Remote Control blog. ‘Jersey Shore’ Star Vinny Hit ‘Breaking Point’ Before Leaving

‘I had to go home to recharge; Pauly is just not enough,’ Staten Islander tells MTV News of taking a break from the boardwalk. By Christina Garibaldi, with reporting by Matt Elias Vinny contemplates leaving on “Jersey Shore” Photo: MTV After spending season four of “Jersey Shore” in Italy, the Seaside gang headed right back to Jersey, as fans saw after last week’s season-five premiere . But while they wasted no time getting into their old routine of hitting the gym, tanning and fist-pumping the night away, one castmember wasn’t really up for GTL. “I had to go home to recharge; Pauly is just not enough,” Vinny told MTV News , about his departure on Thursday night’s (January 11) episode. And although Ronnie assured us that fans of the hit MTV show would see a much “lighter side” of the crew this year, it seems Vinny had a hard time adjusting to life back in Seaside Heights. With little personal time between the Florence and New Jersey seasons, Vinny decided to pack his bags and head home to Staten Island for a breather. “We just came from Italy, and you know we all hit a wall at some point,” Vinny explained. “We all kind of reached our breaking point in some way because it was so hard, the schedule, you will see my personal problems happen in the first couple of episodes. I’m just the type of person, when I’m feeling like that, I need certain things.” “Jersey Shore” fans know that Pauly D and Vinny share a special bond, so how did his bro handle the Staten Islander’s exit? “We almost had a blowup when he left,” Pauly revealed. “You just expect him to be there; you don’t realize what you got till it’s gone, I’ll tell you that.” Mike “The Situation” added, “I know [Pauly] was genuinely upset. We were all upset, but Pauly took it to heart, I know that for a fact.” It wasn’t just Pauly, though. All of the housemates were affected by Vinny’s departure. “It hit home for a lot of us because we all had to kind of face our emotions, because Vinny’s the person that’s always our voice of reasoning and [now he] is saying, ‘I can’t take it anymore,’ ” JWoww explained. “This is a family, when you have … a brother or sister leave, it’s heartbreaking, it’s sad. You really do feel like something is missing in the house.” For continuing “Jersey Shore” coverage, be sure to check in with MTV’s Remote Control blog. The Season 5 premiere of Jersey Shore kicked off another crazy summer in Seaside Heights last week. But from the looks of the preview that aired after the episode, we haven’t seen anything yet from MTV’s band of tanned, juiced-up guidos/ettes. In the coming weeks: Sitch has objects hurled at him (what else is new). Sitch is seriously contemplating getting wifed-up. Jenni experiences some relationship drama. One cast member leaves the shore house. You best believe the gang will be goin’ HARD. All that and so much more. Watch the sneak preview below: Jersey Shore Season 5 Preview

Sammi Giancola Previews "Happier" Season of Jersey Shore

After some fistfights with JWoww and screaming matches with Ronnie, Sammi “Sweetheart” Giancola somehow managed to mellow out in Season 4 of Jersey Shore. What can we expect from her in the coming fifth season? “We were so happy to be home,” she said . “We went straight from Italy to Seaside with no breaks, so we were extremely comfortable with each other.” “You’re gonna see a happier side of Jersey Shore .” At least for a time. There are apparently some explosive developments this season (and every season), namely Vinny Guadagnino peacing out of Seaside. Don’t expect too much drama from Sam, though. “The new season was actually really good for me and Ron,” she said. “But then things happened – and now we’re single. I’m just working on myself now.” No word if she and Ron have gotten back together in the time it took us to put together this post, but check out the Jersey Shore Season 5 trailer below: Jersey Shore Season 5 Trailer

Snooki Slapped With $7 Million Lawsuit

Looks like Snooki has bigger problems than being a drunken buffoon. The MTV personality has been hit with a $7 million counterclaim in her legal battle with a licensing company, SRG Ventures, with whom she partnered to launch an array of Snooki-related merchandise last year, but filed suit against in October. Snook says they didn’t fulfill obligations. SRG says otherwise. The star, real name Nicole Polizzi, sought to end her contract with the company, alleging that it did not land her sufficient money or branding partnerships. SRG Ventures fired back with a counterclaim against Snooki and her managers, claiming she sabotaged the deal by negotiating behind the company’s back. A rep for Snook told the N.Y. Post , “Ms. Polizzi disputes SRG’s version of the facts and looks forward to her day in court.” Hopefully she wears underwear. Jersey Shore returns for a fifth season January 5. Watch the trailer! ‘Jersey Shore’ Season Five Trailer: Home Sweet Home

Castmates return to New Jersey after Italian vacation for the new season, which premieres January 5 at 10 p.m. ET/PT. By James Dinh “Jersey Shore” castmates celebrate their return to Seaside Photo: MTV After spending some fish-out-of-water time across the pond in Italy, the “Jersey Shore” gang is heading back to their Seaside Heights stomping ground for the fifth installment of the MTV series , premiering Thursday, January 5, at 10 p.m. ET/PT. And after a quick glimpse at the just-released trailer , it appears as if the GTL crew is ready for tons of partying, booze and, of course, drama. “Shore” is expected to pick things up where the season-four installment ended, as the eight housemates bid farewell to Florence, Italy, and prepare for their New Jersey return. In the two-minute teaser, the fist-pumping crew toasts to yet another crazy summer and is later greeted to what looks like a surprise welcome-home party. “We’re back in our habitat and I’m ready to tear the speakers off this joint,” Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino yells. Despite Snooki and Deena’s meatball escapades, the usual club dance battles and pranks galore, it isn’t all fun times for the gang — especially when Vinny decides to depart the Seaside Heights house. “This is real. This is a reality right here. Vinny’s out of here,” Pauly D says during a confessional after his castmate’s departure. As teased during the previous season, the battle between Snooki and the Situation shows no signs of slowing down. With his badgering comments about the pint-size guidette’s boyfriend, the Situation doesn’t appear apologetic about playing the part of an instigator, saying, “I do have that secret and I’m blowing it wide open.” While one scene depicts the two castmates in the middle of a food fight, another scene shows the Snookster swatting a plastic baseball bat at the womanizer. MTV News caught up with Deena earlier this year, who spoke about her time back in the States. “All of us became so close,” she said of their European vacation. “So here, it really was like we were brothers and sisters. You get annoyed with each other, then you’re fine. But you’ll see, we had a lot of fun in Jersey; we had so much fun. We were home, we were comfortable.” The fifth season of “Jersey Shore” premieres Thursday, January 5, at 10 p.m. ET/PT on MTV.
