Katherine Jackson on the Attack Against Michael Jackson’s Estate, or Being Set Up?

Even in death, the personal life of Michael Jackson remains as bizarre as his musical talent was profound. The King of Pop is simply peerless on both arenas. The latest saga? A declaration filed with the court, purportedly signed by his mom, Katherine Jackson, in which she attacks the executors of MJ’s estate.

Jennifer Lopez Named People’s ‘Most Beautiful Woman’

Robert Pattinson, Jennifer Lawrence also make the ‘Most Beautiful’ cut. By Jocelyn Vena Jennifer Lopez Photo: Tony Duran / FOX Jennifer Lopez’s career is red hot these days. She’s burning up the charts and she’s bringing her signature J. Lo charm as one of the judges on “American Idol.” To top it all off, Lopez landed the coveted cover of People magazine’s “Most Beautiful” issue this week, garnering the magazine’s “Most Beautiful Woman” title. “I kind of like it. We’ve kind of owned it now,” she says in the issue of being dubbed a diva early on in her career. “But I certainly don’t like and I’ve never been a person who has what they call ‘diva behavior,’ which is something they tried to pin on me for a long time.” Lopez always looks flawless, with perfect hair and makeup and couture to die for, but she admits that she prefers being undone. “That’s when I’m my happiest,” she said. “Just being able to touch my face and rub my eyes and put my fingers in my hair and not having to worry about messing it up. It’s so much better.” Lopez isn’t the only Hollywood heavyweight being honored in the “Most Beautiful” issue. “Hunger Games” star Jennifer Lawrence made the cut, as did Zac Efron, Megan Fox, Rooney Mara, Jessica Simpson, Camilla Belle, Ryan Reynolds (who incidentally is also People ‘s Sexiest Man Alive), Amanda Seyfried, Lauren Conrad and Robert Pattinson, to name a few. “I would like to move on to do something different … Maybe wear makeup in a movie,” Lawrence joked in the issue about her dark roles so far. “I mean, that’d just be crazy, right?” Related Photos Jennifer Lopez: From The Block To ‘American Idol’ The Evolution Of: Jennifer Lopez Related Artists Jennifer Lopez

Taylor Lautner Talks ‘Twilight’ Tattoos In His #3 MTV Moment

Lautner will debut the ‘Abduction’ trailer and chat with MTV News on Wednesday at 7:56 p.m. ET. By Jocelyn Vena Taylor Lautner Photo: MTV News With so much talk about his abs at the VMAs and that one special moment he shared with Tom Cruise at the MTV Movie Awards, who could forget the time Taylor Lautner waxed poetic about “Twilight” tattoos? With just a few days until “MTV First: Taylor Lautner,” which premieres Wednesday on air and online at 7:56 p.m. ET, we’re counting down Lautner’s finest MTV moments — and at #3, the action stud recounted one particularly jarring fan encounter. “Usually, they don’t have something for you to sign, so they stick out their hand or their arm for you to sign, so I’m going down the line signing arms,” he said of an autograph session last summer. One of the arms came with a big surprise: “Then I get to an arm that has a gigantic wolf pack tattoo!” After feeling the tattoo to make sure it was real, he signed the fan’s arm, hoping that his signature wouldn’t also make the final cut as a permanent tat. “Sure enough, the very next day I get a call from a buddy saying, ‘Did you sign somebody’s arm? Because it’s tattooed to her now,’ ” he recalled. “I didn’t know whether to feel bad or whether it’s cool. It’s so different.” Don’t miss “MTV First: Taylor Lautner” this Wednesday at 7:56 p.m. ET on MTV and MTV.com. Tune in to see Lautner debut the trailer for “Abduction,” followed by a live 30-minute interview on MTV.com. Tweet questions using the hashtag #asktaylor to get in the conversation! Steven Tyler, Rihanna, Robert Pattinson Pop Up At ACM Awards

The Band Perry, Taylor Swift, Miranda Lambert and Lady Antebellum big winners. By Gil Kaufman Steven Tyler and Carrie Underwood at the ACM Awards on Sunday Photo: Ethan Miller/ Getty Images You could be excused if you tuned into the 46th Academy of Country Music Awards show on Sunday night and thought that maybe you’d overslept and missed the Grammys. In addition to the usual compliment of cowboy hats and bedazzled boots, there was a healthy dose of rock and pop glitter at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. In addition to “American Idol” judge Steven Tyler lending his formidable pipes to a duet with Carrie Underwood on her hit “Undo It,” the pair chewed up the stage for Aerosmith’s “Walk This Way,” with Underwood looking comfortable screeching the song’s chorus into a microphone with a glittery whip on the end. There were also some awards handed out, including four to Miranda Lambert, who won Best Female Vocalist, as well as Single, Song and Video of the Year honors for her tune “The House That Built Me.” But her roll ended at the fan-voted Entertainer of the Year trophy, which went to Taylor Swift, 21, the youngest-ever winner of that honor. “This is the first time I’ve ever won this, and I’m just losing my mind,” a teary Swift said in her signature breathless manner. “The fact that this is from the fans makes it so beautiful. … You are the best thing that has ever happened to me. Ever … We just got back from touring in Europe and Asia, so thank you for this wonderful welcome-home gift.” Earlier in the night, Swift premiered her new single, a get back tune at critics who’ve slagged her live singing in the past, which she performed while plucking a banjo. It was a big night for Grammy winners Lady Antebellum as well, with the country trio winning Top Vocal Group and Album of the Year for Need You Now, while bluegrass newcomers the Band Perry snagged Best New Artist. It was five in a row for Brad Paisley, who once again went home with the Best Male Vocalist hardware and the Gwyneth Paltrow-starring “Country Strong” took the Tex Ritter Award for films that emphasize country music. The performance-heavy three-hour show also featured the sight of Rihanna being joined by Sugarland’s Jennifer Nettles for a dramatic duet on Ri’s new single, “California King Bed,” and folk pop icon James Taylor joined Zac Brown for a medley of “Colder Weather” and “Sweet Baby James.” Among the presenters were “Idol” host Ryan Seacrest, as well as Robert Pattinson , who appeared on the show with his “Water for Elephants” co-star Reese Witherspoon. ‘American Idol’ Elton John Night Boosts Haley Reinhart, Casey Abrams

Pia Toscano and Scotty McCreery also wow the judges. By Gil Kaufman “American Idol” top ten plus one Photo: FOX Theme nights are always tricky, and on Wednesday (March 30), the “American Idol” top 11 had to take on the imposing catalog of Elton John. Some soared and some crashed, and a couple of recent cellar dwellers — Casey Abrams and Haley Reinhart — appeared to pull themselves out of the fire with gutsy performances. As always on non-country theme weeks, the question was “What is Scotty McCreery going to do this time?” He made the obvious choice, the obscure “Country Comfort,” which he picked because it had the word “country” in it, but also because it’s one of Elton’s only country-leaning tunes. With lyrics about grandmas and factory closings, it was pretty much what you’d expect: a Vince Gill-esque, aw-shucks acoustic amble accented by pedal steel and piano — with a shout-out to his real granny! — that, well, sounded like just about everything McC has done so far. “Nothin’ I could say to you that an old-fashioned pair of high-heeled cowboy boots wouldn’t fix,” Steven Tyler gushed cryptically, adding that he (still) loves everything about the teen crooner. Once again, Jennifer Lopez gave the most sage advice, encouraging Scotty not to get too in his head and doubt himself. Randy Jackson marveled at how fast Scotty has matured on the program and said he felt like he was at a headlining show by the “Idol” finalist. If Scotty always brings the country rumble, dreadlocked rude girl Naima Adedapo similarly finds a way to add a reggae swag to her songs. Wearing a white jumpsuit with red, yellow and green accents, she gave a Bob Marley-esque island vibe to “I’m Still Standing,” struggling at points to keep in tune but truly making it her own and creating one of the most unique “Idol” makeovers in the recent memory. Lopez and Jackson loved the reggae lilt but weren’t sure if it wasn’t a better idea than the payoff, and maybe a bit corny. Talk about someone totally in the pocket on Elton night. Paul McDonald went for it with the legendary “Rocket Man,” which mentor Jimmy Iovine suggested he play like it was an encore in front of 20,000 screaming fans. Wearing his signature flowered country suit and strumming an acoustic guitar, McDonald started out mellow and seductive, with just a piano for accompaniment. It seemed like he blew off Iovine’s advice, because while he retained that ragged Ray LaMontagne vibe, he barely got out of second gear, keeping things mostly low-key and feathery. Randy called it “quiet comfort” and said, despite being pitchy, Paul’s soft, gentle voice was once again infectious, and Jennifer suggested he was holding back and needed to let loose. “Don’t Let the Sun Go Down on Me” is an old “Idol” favorite, and despite being counseled to move out of the ballad-ballad-ballad routine, Pia Toscano went with the emotional staple. With a subtle arrangement, Toscano put the focus squarely on her powerful voice and, backed by a gospel choir, she seemed to hit the sweet spot once more. “Pia, you’ve done it again,” Tyler said, gently needling Randy’s suggestion that Pia switch it up. “That’s what you are and you sang it, you nailed it. And you know how I know a good song? It makes me cry inside … that’s just about as good as it gets.” Lopez said the notes Pia chooses take the audience to “an otherworldly place” and that Toscano seems poised to break through to another level. Stefano Langone made his first trip to the bottom three last week, so he was probably hoping that the epic “Tiny Dancer” would do the trick. But the cheesy arrangement and his smarmy Disney-style performance probably didn’t save the day. All three judges liked it and said Stefano seemed to be really taking their notes and trying to connect with the audience, keep his eyes open and his voice focused on his sweet, high range. Teen Lauren Alaina was just a toddler during the second revival of ultimate weeper “Candle in the Wind” in 1997, but her restrained, country lilt came off like the ultimate mash-up of past “Idol” divas Kelly Clarkson and Carrie Underwood. Though the performance was a bit sedate, her vocals were controlled and crisp and she gave off her usual

Lil Wayne Renews His Love For New York At Long Island Shows

Closing the second night of the I Am Still Music stop at Nassau Coliseum, Weezy gives a shout out to his Rikers COs. By Rahman Dukes Lil Wayne performs in Long Island on Monday Photo: Kevin Mazur/ WireImage UNIONDALE, New York — It’s been roughly two weeks since Lil Wayne returned to the big stage with his I Am Still Music Tour . He’s been tearing up venues across the country in the days that followed, but there was something sentimental about his two nights of sold-out shows at Long Island’s Nassau Coliseum. After all, just a few months ago, a little more than 20 miles away, Wayne was doing hard time at Rikers Island , serving a one-year prison sentence on weapons charges stemming from the 2007 arrest that followed his show at New York’s Beacon Theatre. On Monday night, Wayne exchanged the 8-foot cell he was housed in at the Eric M. Taylor Center for a hockey arena and thanked fans for their support during his down time. “A few months ago, I was stuck in this island,” Wayne told to the audience. “This place called Rikers Island. It was people like Drake and people like y’all who made me feel like I was in a paradise of love. Shout out to the COs I’m cool with, but tell the warden to kiss my ass.” But in reality, Weezy showed no signs of bitterness towards the state he unwillingly called home for the majority of 2010. The larger-than-life MC appeared on stage sporting a blue and orange New York Knicks cap, his signature polo shirt and black leather pants. Wayne closed out his New York run backed by a live band, unearthing a catalog of smash hits including “Mrs. Officer,” “Go DJ” and “Got Money” as well as mixtape cuts such as “I’m Single” and “Bill Gates.” With appearances by Lil Twist, Mack Maine, Shanell and Nicki Minaj, Weezy continued to make the point that his Young Money movement was reminiscent of previous rap powerhouse cliques who made their marks in the hip-hop game. “Remember how Diddy had his artists? And Jay had Roc-a-fella, and Baby had all his artists?” Wayne asked. “Well, I have all my artists.” Halfway through his set, Wayne introduced Minaj, and the Queens MC ripped through her own records for her hometown crowd. Nicki ignited the audience with hits “Roman’s Revenge” to “Did It on ‘Em” to the celebratory “Right Through Me” anthem, for which she donned a wedding dress. And as she assisted Wayne on “Roger That” he appeared to be stunned by Nicki’s tight, ripped-up jeans. “Make some noise for the best rapper aliiive,” Nicki yelled at the crowd, referring to Wayne as she exited the stage. “Make some noise for them pants!” Wayne shot back. Preceeding Wayne’s set, Rick Ross also ignited the coliseum with his array of hits and a surprise guest appearance by close friend DJ Khaled, who joined him for “We Takin’ Over.” Khaled also showed his New York support wearing a New York Yankees clubhouse jacket. The show had emotional moments in between songs too. Wayne took time to send prayers for earthquake victims in Japan and acknowledged members of the military in the audience who came out to support the MC in their uniforms. “We got a couple soldiers in here; make some noise for these men,” Wayne said, removing his tinted shades as the house lights spotlighted the warriors. On the night of his arrest years ago, Weezy vowed to never return to the Big Apple. But judging by the diamond-studded grin he flashed throughout the night as the crowd chanted “Weezy’s Home,” it’s a safe assumption that the MC was happy to be back in New York. “New York always showed us love,” said Birdman, sitting in his tour bus following the show. “It was just unfortunate he had to come out here and do time. But the people always showed us mad love. New York is probably one of our biggest markets. They always supported us, and we always showed them love.” Related Photos Lil Wayne Brings ‘I Am Still Music’ Tour To New York Related Artists Lil Wayne
