O.J. Simpson: Plotting Revenge Against … Kim Kardashian?!

Unless you’ve tuned out the news entirely due to the events of the past nine months, you’re probably aware that O.J. Simpson was granted parole last week. Yes, the Juice will soon be loose after serving nine years in prison on robbery charges. A lengthy bid, to be sure, but O.J. got off pretty easy when you consider he  totally allegedly murdered two people. Anyway, O.J. was sentenced to an astonishing 33 years, and some folks believed he’d never live to see his release date. But now, Simpson is soon to be a free man once again, and many who were once close to the former NFL star/probable double murderer are understandably a bit worried. Among the concerned parties are several members of the Kardashian clan. The family was once close with O.J. but the relationship was damaged irreparably by that whole “him almost certainly killing two people” thing. We learned earlier this week that Kris and Caitlyn Jenner are “terrified” by the news of O.J.’s impending release. And now it seems they may not be alone in their totally justified fear of a seriously scary dude. Radar Online has spoken with a former cellmate of Simpson’s named Vernon Nelson, and based on the ex-con’s claims, Kim Kardashian may want to double down on her security detail. It seems O.J. is quite displeased with Kim for comments she made on Keeping Up With the Kardashians implying that he’s guilty of the murders of Ron Goldman and Nicole Brown Simpson. “Simpson griped, ‘I always treated Kim with respect. I don’t know why she would dog me out, but I guess she will do anything to promote their reality show.’” Nelson wrote in an email interview with the site. The former inmate also claims that Simpson blasted Kim with “very powerful and serious” insults that “made the hairs on my arm stand up!” Ominously, when Nelson asked Simpson if he had a message for those on the outside who he felt had wronged him, the former football star seethed: “Tell them to expect me like they’re expecting Jesus to come back because I’m coming!”  We’re no biblical scholars, but we’re pretty sure Jesus didn’t come back, like, to stab everyone. Thankfully, it’s unlikely that the 70-year-old Simpson would ever be able to get anywhere near the heavily-guarded Kim, but still. Scary stuff for a woman who’s already been through a lot in the past year. View Slideshow: O.J. Simpson Trial Stars: Where Are They Now?

O.J. Simpson Granted Parole; Former NFL Star to Be Released From Prison in October

One of the most infamous public figures in America will soon be a free man once again. O.J. Simpson was granted parole moments ago after delivering a rambling account of his crimes and his time behind bars to a committee of prison officials. Simpson has served nine years behind bars on armed robbery charges stemming from a 2007 arrest in Las Vegas. Simpson told the parole board that he had no intention of committing a crime on the day in question, but was simply trying to retrieve items that he believed had been stolen from him. He maintained that it was only by sheer coincidence that he and the victim wound up in the same city on the same day. “As a perfect storm we all ended up in Las Vegas, you know?” Simpson said with a laugh. “I was there for a wedding and [was told that] the property was there.” Simpson often contradicted himself during his testimony, offering excuses and justifications for his actions one moment, then telling the parole board that he takes “full responsibility” for his crimes the next. “When I came into the [hotel] room I noticed spread out everywhere was my personal property,” said in his account of the robbery. “The only thing I saw that was on display that wasn’t mine was some baseballs, and I made it clear to everybody those are not mine. All I want is my property. … I wasn’t there to steal from anybody.” In response to allegations that he pointed a gun at the robbery victim, Simpson stated, “I would never, ever pull a weapon.” Bizarrely, Simpson told the board that he’s lived a “conflict-free life” and that his primary regrets are being unfaithful to his wife and turning his back on his religious beliefs. “I had some problems with fidelity in my life, but I’ve always been a guy that pretty much got along with everybody,” Simpson said. “I was always a good guy, but could have been a better Christian, and my commitment to change is to be a better Christian.” Over the course of the past year, there’s been a sudden resurgence in the public’s interest in Simpson’s life and crimes, in part due to a popular FX miniseries about his murder trial and an award winning biographical documentary. While there were some concerns that Simpson’s parole might be in jeopardy due to recent behavior behind bars, but most legal experts who speculated on the matter predicted that Simpson would be deemed eligible for parole. Simpson was convicted of armed robbery 13 years to the day that he was acquitted of the murders of his wife, Nicole Brown Simpson, and her friend, Ronald Goldman. The former NFL running back, sports commentator, and movie star may be released from prison as early as October 1. View Slideshow: O.J. Simpson Trial Stars: Where Are They Now?

O.J. Simpson: All Smiles in New Mug Shot!

The Juice is once again loose on the Internet. In an image released on Monday by Nevada’s Department of Corrections, O.J. Simpson is posing for his first photo since July 13. And he looks pretty darn happy to be standing for another mug shot, doesn’t he? The picture above was snapped this week at Lovelock Correctional Center, where Simpson has been a prisoner ever since he was convicted of armed robbery back in 2008. Indeed, the probable murderer was arrested for breaking into a Las Vegas hotel room nine years ago, joining a group of other men in making an attempt to steal some sports memorabilia. Simpson is eligible for parole next year. According to one former friend of the ex-running back, Simpson may admit to killing Nicole Brown Simpson and Ron Goldman upon his eventual release from prison. But we find that pretty hard to believe. We also doubt he’ll try to hook up with the Jenners upon his release. View Slideshow: 18 Celebrities Who May Have Killed People In one of the most famous trials in this nation’s history, Simpson was found not guilty of murdering his ex-wife and her friend in 1994. Three years later, a civil jury found him liable for the double murders and ordered him to pay $33.5 million in damages. But O.J. remained a free man… until, in a truly stunning development for someone who almost got away with murder, he went ahead and got convicted of a different felony many years later. The case has been back in the news of late because FX aired a mesmerizing miniseries based on the investigation and trial this spring; while ESPN and ABC will premiere a six-part documentary on June 11 titled “O.J. Simpson: Made in America.” So now we have to ask once again: Do you think O.J. did it? Obviously He did View Poll » View Slideshow: O.J. Simpson Trial Stars: Where Are They Now?
