Despite reports saying that R. Kelly did not have the money to get out of jail, the Associated Press has reported that the singer couldn’t afford the bail, he should be out by tonight. R. Kelly posted bail on Monday afternoon and was released from the Chicago jail where he spent the weekend, officials said. BREAKING: R&B singer R. Among the conditions of release is that Kelly have no contact with females younger than 18. During a hearing earlier Monday, Kelly’s lawyer pleaded not guilty on his behalf to all 10 counts of aggravated sexual abuse that he faces. Prosecutors allege that he sexually abused four women, including three who were minors at the time. Kelly has denied the allegations. This is a developing story; please check back for updates. Kelly,” took another look at old sexual misconduct allegations against the R&B star. Scaff said Kelly singled the girls out at the after-party, had a member of his entourage ply them with drugs and alcohol and told them to meet him at his hotel suite. Scaff said the two girls were in Kelly’s hotel room when Kelly entered with his penis already outside of his jeans. A new documentary about the alleged sex crimes Michael Jackson made its debut at the Sundance film festival last month. With a runtime of over four hours, Leaving Neverland was only screened once, but despite its small audience, the film quickly became the talk of the festival. Neverland is set to make its broadcast debut on HBO in March, and according to a new report from TMZ, Jackson’s family is doing everything in its power to prevent that from happening. According to court papers obtained by the site, the Jacksons — who have already compared the film to ” a public lynching ” — have filed a $100 million suit against the network. Such a move is not uncommon in cases where a piece of journalism threatens major damage to the reputation of a rich and powerful person — even when that person is no longer living. What’s unusual in this case is that the Jacksons may have a valid case. TMZ reports that the family’s attorneys are not disputing the claims made in the documentary. Rather, they’re arguing that HBO relinquished its right to disparage Jackson in any way when it reached an agreement with the singer nearly 27 years ago. Back in 1992, HBO aired a concert special entitled Michael Jackson Live in Concert in Bucharest: The Dangerous Tour. Jackson’s contract at the time required all major media partners to sign a very specific non-disparagement agreement. “HBO shall not make any disparaging remarks concerning Performer or any of his representatives, agents, or business practices or do any act that may harm or disparage or cause to lower in esteem the reputation or public image of performer,” reads a document reportedly signed by HBO execs. HBO’s lawyers will likely argue that the contract is voided by the fact that Jackson is dead and HBO is a radically different network now than it was in 1992. But no doubt the Jacksons have hired a legal dream team, and if there’s no expiration date on the contract, then they may succeed in burying Leaving Neverland — for now. The hatchet has been buried. Literal bread has been broken. The feud, alas, is over. On Tuesday night, Ariana Grande ran into Piers Morgan at a restaurant in Los Angeles, prompting the singer and the obnoxious talk show host to sit down and hash out their differences. Back in November, you may recall, Morgan trashed Ellen DeGeneres as a hypocrite and the all-girls group Little Mix for showing some skin on the comedian’s talk show. The chauvinistic Brit criticized the group for using its sexuality to promote their music, an accusation that angers both Grande and even her mother. Ariana quickly jumped on Twtitter to explain the concept of female empowerment to Morgan. “I use my talent AND my sexuality all the time because I choose to,” Grande Tweeted at Morgan in response to his remarks. “Women can be sexual AND talented. Naked and dignified. Grande and Morgan even posed for a selfie together (below), alongside which Piers echoed Grande’s sentiment. Josiah Duggar is just so in love with Lauren Swanson. And he wants the whole world to know it, especially in light of some heartbreaking news the couple shared last week about their attempt to start a family. Indeed, just days after revealing that Swanson had suffered a miscarriage in October, Josiah wrote the following in honor of a certain romantic holiday promoted by Hallmark and other companies: “Happy Valentine’s Day baby! “I wish I was better at expressing how much you mean to me. I don’t deserve you, you are the world to me. I cannot imagine life without you. I feel so honored to be your husband. “Thank you for choosing me! I love you.” Pretty darn sweet and sentimental, right? Even more so when you consider that Duggar penned this as a caption to a photo of himself and Lauren on their wedding day. The couple got married in late June in Arkansas. It was presumed at the time that they’d announce a pregnancy shortly afterward, with numerous celebrity gossip sources out there wondering whether Swanson was expecting. As it tragically turns out, the answer at one point was yes: She was pregnant. But Swanson then lost the baby. She and Josiah confirmed the awful news on last Monday’s season premiere of Counting On. “It really was a hard time for our family going through this right after we got married,” he said on air, adding: “And all the dreams of getting to see our little one and hold it in our hands dashed before our eyes.” Swanson started to feel sick as she and her husband were preparing to go away for a friend’s wedding. She initially thought the cramping and stomach pain was due to some kind of dietary problem… but then she learned otherwise. “It was late at night and I went to the restroom, and right there was the baby. Gone. I couldn’t believe it, and I was hoping it wasn’t true,” Swanson told fans and viewers on this return episode of the TLC program. So very sad. We cannot imagine going through such a thing. Thankfully, however, Duggar and Swanson’s bond remains strong, as evidenced by this Valentine’s Day message. And they also have the support of their loved ones to get them through this challenging time in their marriage. “We love you so much and look forward to meeting your little one when we get to heaven!” Anna Duggar, who suffered her own miscarriage, told the pair on Instagram. Porsha Williams and Dennis McKinley’s relationship may have started with a bunch of hurdles, but Sunday’s episode of The Real Housewives of Atlanta showed that they were in it for the long haul. Dennis had been dropping hints about a proposal to Williams for quite some time, so she kept getting her hopes up only to be let down. Porsha and Dennis went out for dinner and drinks with Shamari and Ronnie DeVoe. That’s when Dennis opened up to Ronnie about his plans. “Oh, you’re gonna propose on Friday?!” Ronnie whispered in excitement. “Damn, son! You got it all mapped out?” “I got it mapped out. She don’t know,” Dennis replied before confirming that his romantic plans involved a helicopter ride. Thankfully, Lauren, Porsha’s sister was in the know from the get-go, so she was on hand to help out in any way she could. That meant keeping up the ruse that Porsha was on her way to a charity event. “For real, I’m legit scared,” Porsha said of getting on a helicopter. “I actually texted [Dennis] the other day, and I was like, ‘I don’t think I even wanna do the thing. Just cancel it. Let’s just do something else.’ And he sounded so disappointed that we weren’t gonna go. So I was like, ‘Okay, you know what? Fine. We’ll go.'” When the day arrived, Porsha and Dennis managed to get in and out of the helicopter without any issues. That was a huge positive given how scared Porsha was. Williams was concerned because there were no other people around. “They’re probably here already,” Dennis replied. “They can only fit one couple at a time.” Porsha totally bought it. “I’m glad I got my makeup done!” Porsha said as the duo walked into the high-class building. In a truly romantic moment, Porsha realized her favorite song was playing. When the pair got to the room, there were flowers, photographers and even the singer of her favorite song. “Would you like to be Mrs. McKinley?” Dennis said as he got down on one knee. Porsha gleefully accepted. “You don’t understand how many times we have sung this song in the car to each other,” Porsha said in a confessional. “I have my parts, he has his parts, and Lil’ Mo is here singing it to us! I’ve dreamed about how he was gonna propose. I thought he was gonna propose in Miami, I thought he was gonna propose here, I thought he was gonna propose there.” “But for him to do it like this with the helicopter and Lil’ Mo and all the flowers and — can we talk about the ring? He did that! Skye claimed that Sheck’s crew attacked her friends after previously claiming that an unnamed rapper–later revealed to be Wed–had put “hands” on her. The “Mo Bamba” rapper later denied the allegations, which prompted her to post footage of him on Twitter making his way into her house without her consent bv jumping over a fence. Now, according to reports from The Blast , Justine Skye has filed for and was granted a restraining order against Sheck Wes. In the restraining order request, Skye claimed that he “orchestrated a plan to stalk me and viciously beat my boyfriend and our friends in front of me in public.” She also alleged that ten other men besides Sheck were complicit in the supposed attack. The restraining order rules that Sheck must stay at least 100 yards away from her until their court hearing, which takes place next month. According to reports, Skye says in the request that she does “not feel safe” and believes her “life is in danger.” It also includes a reference to an incident on July 26, 2018, where she claims Sheck “threatened to punch me in the face, headbutted me, told me he was going to ‘hurt me.’” After Skye’s initial allegations and posting of the video, Wes responded by claiming that he never hit her and was simply trying to get back his belongings. “Just clarifying this is a video of me hopping a fence to get my stuff back from a girl who refused to give me my stuff” he tweeted. “Once again for the record I never hit or beat up any woman.”
As previously reported, Antonella Barba was arrested in October on drug charges. Upon inital intel gathering, this crime seemed serious enough, as the former American Idol sensation was charged with a felony due to allegedly carrying over 100 grams of heroin. Yikes, right? But here’s the thing: It turns out the possible crime was actually far worse. According to newly unsealed court documents, Barba is accused of acting as a courier for a major drug ring when Virginia authorities arrested her nearly four months ago with two pounds of fentanyl. Yes, two pounds. While that figure may not be very high when pounds are typically used to measure something… trust us. That is simply a f-ck ton of fentanyl. (Fentanyl is a pain reliever for which one needs a prescription for legal use; it can cause respiratory distress and death when taken in high doses or when combined with other substances, especially alcohol. Prince, for example, died with high levels of fentanyl in his system .) Barba was indicted last week on 11 federal charges, including: – One count of conspiracy to distribute and possess cocaine, heroin, and fentanyl with the intent to distribute. – 10 counts of distribution or possession of cocaine, heroin and fentanyl with the intent to distribute. As of this writing, the ex-artist remains in police custody and will be held until at least Thursday, when she’s set to appear in court for a detention hearing. Barba advanced to the Top 16 of American Idol in 2007. She made headlines over a decade ago not just for her voice, but also because a bunch of explicit photos of the brunette emerged and circulated online while she battled for the title that eventually went to Jordin Sparks. For example, Barba gained notoriety for posing in a wet t-shirt in the fountain of the World War II Memorial in D.C. We aren’t about to post these X-rated images here, but she also allegedly was snapped while she giving someone oral sex. And it sounds like things haven’t improved a ton for the New Jersey native. The heavily-redacted indictment alleges that Barba was one of many members of a drug conspiracy that was active in Hampton Roads between late 2017 and the fall of 2018. This document states that Barba was delivering approximately 830 grams of fentanyl when she was arrested the morning of October 11. In 2012, Barba appeared on an episode of Fear Factor. She, along with a multitude other former American Idol stars, also participated in a “We Are the World” parody on Jimmy Kimmel Live! in May of last year. We hope she finds a way to turn her life around.
Shocking news out of the music world today, as celebrated singer/songwriter Ryan Adams has been accused of sexual misconduct by several female artists, including his ex-wife, Mandy Moore. In a scathing report published today by the New York Times , Moore and six other women detailed sexual and psychological abuse they allegedly endured at Adams’ hands. Moore — who was married to Adams for six years before filing for divorce in 2015 — says that Adams took advantage of her career aspirations and her youth (she was 23 when they met; Adams was 10 years her senior) in order to manipulate her and engage in years of “psychologically abusive” behavior. “His controlling behavior essentially did block my ability to make new connections in the industry during a very pivotal and potentially lucrative time — my entire mid-to-late 20s,” Moore told the Times . “What you experience with him — the treatment, the destructive, manic sort of back and forth behavior — feels so exclusive,” she added. “You feel like there’s no way other people have been treated like this.” “Music was a point of control for him,” Moore said. Singer Phoebe Bridgers recounted a similar situation, in which — as with Moore — Adams plied her with the promise of career opportunities before making his sexual intentions clear. Bridgers says that despite some concerns about his behavior, she accepted an opportunity to open for Adams on tour, but quickly regretted it. “The first day, he asked me to bring him something in his hotel room,” she told the Times. “I came upstairs and he was completely nude.” But perhaps the most shocking account comes from an aspiring musician identified only as Ava, who says Adams began sending her nude photos and other sexually explicit material when she was just 14 years old. “If people knew they would say I was like R Kelley [sic] lol,” Adams messaged her at one point. Through a statement from his attorney, Adams denies any wrongdoing: “Mr. Adams unequivocally denies that he ever engaged in inappropriate online sexual communications with someone he knew was underage,” Adams’ lawyer told the Times , adding, “if, in fact, this woman was underage, Mr. Adams was unaware.” On Twitter, Adams’ tone quickly shifted from combative to apologetic. Before the story broke, he posted a photo of the Times logo with a caption reading: “Fuck you. You are kitty litter. Happy Valentine’s Day.” He also replied to one tweet before the story’s publication: “Run your smear piece. But the leagel [sic] eagles see you. Rats. I’m fucking taking you down.” After the story broke, Adams expressed remorse, while at the same time, denying most of the allegations against him. “I am not a perfect man and I have made many mistakes,” he tweeted. “To anyone I have ever hurt, however unintentionally, I apologize deeply and unreservedly. “But the picture that this article paints is upsettingly inaccurate. Some of its details are misrepresented; some are exaggerated; some are outright false,” he added. “I would never have inappropriate interactions with someone I thought was underage. Period. “As someone who has always tried to spread joy through my music and my life, hearing that some people believe I caused them pain saddens me greatly,” he added. “I am resolved to work to be the best man I can be.
