In a new video, the singer speaks on behalf of the website Get Ur Good On , which pushes teens to get into charity. The singer canceled several dates on her summer tour after coming down with bronchitis. According to a statement from her label, Swift has had to shuffle around a few shows because she “has bronchitis, and has been advised by her doctor that she is not well enough to perform this week.” Her July 8 show in Charlotte, North Carolina, has been rescheduled for November 16, and two dates in Atlanta, on July 9 and 10, are now slated for October 1 and 2. “It breaks my heart to miss out on this weekend’s shows with my friends in Charlotte and Atlanta,” the star in a statement. “I would never cancel if I thought I was physically able to perform these shows. I am so sorry to the fans, but I look forward to seeing you when we come back through your towns, which we will do.” Swift’s tour will resume on July 14 in Montreal. Swift canceled a concert in Kentucky over the weekend, marking the first time the singer has ever had to cancel a show due to illness. She alerted her fans to the news on Twitter , writing, “Louisville, I so sorry to have to postpone this show to Oct 11. This is my first time having to do this. I’m so, so sorry.” When Swift spoke to MTV News in May about the Speak Now tour, she explained it would be all about the fans. “That’s why I’m so blown away. That’s why I can’t wait to go out on tour and thank them personally,” she explained. “We get to have such groovy, cool stuff happening. I’ve never had pyro before. I’ve never had aerialists before. It’s got this grand staircase. The stage in itself looks like an old-world theater. I can’t believe we get to play stadiums. I’m so excited about this tour. I want to live on that stage. Producer Jim Jonsin says The Adventures of Bobby Ray singer ‘wants it to be his album.’ By Rob Markman B.o.B Photo: MTV News B.o.B is out embarking on another adventure. After his 2010 debut, The Adventures of Bobby Ray, produced chart-topping singles and an RIAA-certified gold plaque, the Atlanta rapper is back in the studio crafting his next LP all by his lonesome. “What Bob wanted to do was go into the lab himself and spend his time creating what he wanted his album to have, the direction he wanted,” producer Jim Jonsin told MTV News. “So we’re waiting on him to come back with that house that he’s built so we can go ahead and put all the fixtures in and try to help with it.” Jonsin, who signed B.o.B to his Rebel Rock label, where the artist remains inked alongside T.I.’s Grand Hustle imprint (under Atlantic Records), said that after sessions earlier this year during which he and Bob cut “three or four records,” the “Nothin’ On You” rapper is now out working on the album alone, similar to the recording process on his debut. “Same way it was with the last album. Bob is very creative, he’s a producer, he’s a writer, he’s a real artist,” Jonsin said. While The Adventures of Bobby Ray was heavy on features, with contributions from Bruno Mars, Hayley Williams, Rivers Cuomo and Eminem, Jonsin said the plan for now is for B.o.B to make the album his own. “He doesn’t want to do the feature records; he wants it to be his album,” he said. In that respect, Jonsin, who has created hit records with Lil Wayne, Eminem and Usher, said he’s happy just letting Bob do his own thing and coming in to assist with production duties once the rapper has already laid his foundation. “He does have his ideas and his direction, and everyone feeds off of that,” the multiplatinum producer said. “The A&Rs, the label knows, Tip knows, I know where he’s going. We just gotta hear it, and then we can help him with it.” So far, Bob hasn’t announced a release date or a title for his new album, but in May, the singer told MTV News he’s actually been working on this album for quite some time. “It’s the right timing, and I haven’t revealed the name of the album yet,” he said, “but I’ve been working on this since before The Adventures of Bobby Ray, so it’s a real special project.” What do you expect B.o.B’s new album to sound like? After Cee Lo Green had to drop out of the singer’s Loud tour due to other commitments, the “California King Bed” designated J. Cole as the “Forget You” singer’s replacement. Rihanna announced via Twitter that rapper J. Cole, who was already on the road with the singer, will fill Green’s shoes as her main warm-up act on the tour, which began this month. “#GOODNEWS @JColeNC is our new official opener!” she wrote on Tuesday night. “@CeeLoGreen will no longer be a part of #LOUDtour due 2 commitment with ‘The Voice’ #Cantmissit.” Green had to leave when his schedule became too crammed with other commitments, including his judging gig on the hit NBC talent competition “The Voice,” which is also presenting a tour this summer. “He always puts 100 percent into his work and with the requirements and time commitment to ‘The Voice,’ on top of heading back into the recording studio and an upcoming book, he feels that he wouldn’t give his fans the show that they deserve,” Green’s spokesperson said, according to The New York Times . Rihanna’s Loud tour travels the U.S. through July 24 before heading to Europe in August. It’s set to wrap up in late December. There was a similar switch-up for Rihanna’s Last Girl on Earth Tour in 2010, when Nicki Minaj pulled out at the last minute and was quickly replaced with Travie McCoy. Ke$ha also opened on that tour. However, he knows exactly how to overcome the perils of teenage love, as displayed in the new clip for his single, “Unfriend You,” which premiered Wednesday (June 29) exclusively on MTV and MTV Hits. In the clip, Chance becomes distressed while looking at photos of himself and his former girlfriend (played by teen starlet Ariana Grande), and soon discovers her cozying up to a jock-like replacement. Ready for some kind of break, the 13-year-old singer/songwriter turns to his loyal group of friends in the visual for the heartbreak tune, attending an age-appropriate house party filled with dancing, ping pong and, of course, silly string. In between the festivities, he meets a girl, who seemingly removes all ex-girlfriend woes. Chance takes the fun outside when he and the rest of the house party pay a visit to his former flame’s house, covering it in toilet paper, all before showing off his new gal pal. MTV News caught up with the budding star on the video’s Los Angeles-based set, where he gushed about partaking in some on-camera teen mischief. “It’s been so much fun already shooting it,” he said. “We got to TP this house … This is just more things leading up to the record, so I’m really excited for it.” As for why the YouTube phenomenon felt the heartbreak tune was fitting as the lead single off his debut album Hold On ‘Til the Night , Chance explained, “I think ‘Unfriend You’ is an amazing record because, one, it’s a breakup song, which breakup songs are always fun, and two, it’s referencing social media, especially in this day and age, I think it’s very important to reference social media in music.” Fans who can’t stop listening to “Unfriend You” might find a similar liking to the rest of the singer’s new LP, which drops August 2, since it also deals with the trials of heartache. “When I was writing this record, and especially when I was in the studio cutting ‘Unfriend You,’ I was heartbroken, so it felt good to express myself through the music and through the art of it,” the singer explained.
