The bizarre story of Andre Johnson’s suicide attempt and self-mutilation got a little stranger yesterday as the rapper took to his Facebook page and seemed surprisingly tranquil given his circumstances. Johnson posted a status update that read simply, “Peace – feeling blessed,” leaving followers to wonder if he’s heavily medicated or simply grateful to be alive after jumping from a balcony in an apparent attempt to take his own life. While the Wu-Tang Clan wants nothing to do with Johnson , other rappers have spoken out in his defense – claiming that Johnson has no history of hard drug use, but suffers from profound mental illness. A friend of Johnson’s – another rapper, who goes by the stage name Supreme – spoke with TMZ about the incident and says he saw nothing in Johnson that would indicate he would be capable of damaging himself so severely. Supreme says he never witnessed “any substance abuse” on Johnson’s part aside from casual marijuana and alcohol use. Andrew Garfield is sticking up for Justin Bieber. Despite the singer’s run of erratic, boorish behavior (we still aren’t over that Justin Bieber deposition just yet), The Amazing Spider-Man 2 star blames the artist’s circumstances a lot more than the artist himself. “If I had had these opportunities when I was younger, I would have been Justin Bieber,” Garfield tells Time Out London. Meaning what, exactly? “If you are a 16-year-old kid and you can do whatever the f-ck you want, you’re making trillions of dollars and you have a leopard-print Ferrari, it’s not healthy.” Bieber, of course, got arrested for DUI and drag racing in January and, although it’s VERY unlikely he will serve any time, Garfield says he probably would have gone behind bars at that age if roles were reversed. “If I was going through what I’m going through now when I was 16, I might have ended up in jail.” Garfield is only the latest celebrity to respond to Bieber’s crazy antics. According to a press release – written by Kansas City’s Sprint Center, where Cyrus was scheduled to perform a Bangerz tour show tonight – the artist has been “placed on medical rest by her doctors” and forced to postpone the event. I wanted to badly 2 b there 2night,” Miley herself Tweeted this afternoon. “Not being with yall makes me feel s—tier than I already do.” Cyrus, of course, has already had a rough month. The release — from Kansas City’s Sprint Center, where Cyrus was supposed to perform her Bangerz tour show on Tuesday night — said that the pop star had been “placed on medical rest by her doctors” and would not be able to go on as scheduled. Cyrus herself tweeted a message to fans from her hospital bed, apologizing for the canceled concert. “Kansas I promise I’m as heartbroken as you are.
