New Trailer For Bruce Jenner’s Interview With Diane Sawyer Released Ah boy… Via PageSix ABC has revealed a second, more revealing teaser for its upcoming exclusive interview with Bruce Jenner — this time featuring his voice and his face. “My whole life has been getting me ready for this,” Jenner said in a promo that begins airing on the network Tuesday night. The Olympic champ is expected to speak publicly for the first time about his much talked-about transition to womanhood during the two-hour interview with Diane Sawyer, airing April 24. In the new 16-second clip, Jenner’s face, without his sunglasses, briefly flashes across the screen, but he’s covered up in shades in the rest of the promo. Sources have told TMZ the 65-year-old will not appear as a female during the special. Hopefully Diane gets down to the brass tacks, nobody got time to spend an hour listening to Bruce pussyfoot around the issue. Image via YouTube
Arizona Cop Runs Suspect Over With Squad Car Looks like some cops are skipping the whole middle-man of actually having a confrontation with their suspects and attempting to kill them before even bothering to exit their vehicles. Police in Arizona released dash-cam footage from multiple angles showing the moment one officer decided to run-over an armed hispanic suspect with his squad car — later praised by the Chief of Police for potentially saving the suspect’s life with his actions. Um…okay. Via CBSnews : Police in Arizona released video from a dashboard camera showing how a police officer used his cruiser to put an end to a crime spree in February, CBS affiliate KOLD-TV in Tucson reported. In the video, recorded Feb. 19, an apparent gunshot is heard as suspect Mario Valencia is seen walking down a street in Marana, a town northwest of Tucson. Then, in a decision that Marana police Chief Terry Rozema says probably saved Valencia’s life, Officer Michael Rapiejko drives his cruiser onto the sidewalk and rams Valencia. According to Marana police, Valencia was fleeing from a Walmart where he had allegedly stolen a rifle. He had already been intercepted by police near a post office, where he pointed the rifle at his head multiple times and threatened suicide before firing the gun in another direction and fleeing. Police do not know if he was shooting at officers, and no one was hit by the bullet. The pursuit came to an end outside a self storage facility nearby, where Rapiejko hit the suspect with his cruiser. “This was a dangerous felon who’d been on a crime spree throughout the morning,” Marana Police Sgt. Chris Warren told KOLD-TV in February. “He’d just stolen a weapon, loaded it, was not obeying commands from officers and was walking toward occupied businesses. It’s a busy time of morning, a lot of employees at work, a lot getting ready to come out for breaks, he’s walking toward those businesses. So we had to take immediate action and make sure he didn’t get inside those businesses.” At least this suspect was actually armed before the police made an attempt on his life. Teen Shot In Accident Retaliation Revealed As Toddler’s Brother Yesterday, we reported the Milwaukee man who was shot dead just moments after accidentally running over a 2-year-old boy who darted into the street, alongside a teenager who was on the scene. In an even more tragic turn of events, the young boy who was also shot at the scene by the unknown shooter, later dying during operation, was actually the toddler’s older brother — having run to the scene to check on the 2-year-old just moments after he was struck by the van. Via MailOnline : The 15-year-old Wisconsin boy who was gunned down along with the driver who accidentally ran over a 2-year-old with his van Sunday has now been identified as the dead toddler’s brother. Police say an unnamed gunman opened fire in Milwaukee Sunday after 40-year-old Archie Brown Jr struck and killed little Damani Terry when the toddler darted out of a house into the street. A person armed with a gun rushed to the scene of the crash and shot dead Brown, along with Damani Terry’s big brother, 15-year-old Rasheed Chiles, who ran outside to check on the toddler. Brown, a father of four, was struck in the head by a bullet and died at the scene near a park on Milwaukee’s near northwest side. Chiles was hit in the shoulder and was taken to a hospital, where he died during surgery. The Milwaukee County Medical Examiner’s Office confirmed in a statement late Monday that Damani and Rasheed were brothers. A police statement said Brown was distraught about hitting the child and stopped right away, according to witnesses. The statement didn’t explain how and why Chiles was shot, but police said he and the 2-year-old were attending a cookout together at the house near the accident. Mayor Tom Barrett called the shooting of Brown an ‘assassination’ during an emotional press conference. “Someone got angry,” Barrett said. “Someone took a gun and basically assassinated this gentleman.” So this family lost not one, but two children in this tragic accident followed by what seemed to be an act of revenge. Young Thug Changes Album Title Young Thug and Lil Wayne have been butting heads over the title to Thug’s new release on Cash Money, The Carter 6 , for obvious reasons. Even though Young Thug has already insisted that he means no offense by snatching his “idol’s” album title, it seems Wayne isn’t having it and has moved forward with not only threats , but legal action. Welp, Thug heard that message loud and clear and decided to back up off “The Carter.” So what title is he going with now? Hmmm…so it’s the BARTER 6 now? Wrestlers Sue WWE Over Brain Damage Three wrestlers have taken it upon themselves to sue on behalf of all wrestlers ever, stating that the WWE is exploitative and puts its performers in grave danger of intense brain damage. Via TMZ : Big Russ McCullough, Ryan Sakoda and Luther Reigns (obvious stage names) claim the WWE has known for years … the brutality in the ring has resulted in dementia, Alzheimer’s disease and a lot more. The lawsuit — obtained by TMZ — claims the WWE, “under the guise of providing ‘entertainment’ …. has for decades subjected its wrestlers to extreme physical brutality.” The suit acknowledges wrestling is scripted but nonetheless unrelentingly brutal, claiming “WWE is in the business of selling violence.” The legal docs chronicle various matches in which wrestlers were destroyed. It mentions the 2014 Royal Rumble, in which one wrestler “demolished another with a series of brutal steel chair attacks,” and the docs refer to “the carnage created by the match’s victor.” The lawsuit gives an interesting inside look into wrestling, saying the goal of the WWE is to elicit “heat,” meaning heightened violence with the use of various props, including chairs, ladders and tables. The suit singles out various moves, including the Brain Buster, Bulldog, Cobra Clutch Slam, Facebreaker, Jawbreaker and Powerslam. It singles out the chair shots to the head, which was banned in 2010. The suit claims, “The WWE coerces its wrestlers to work while they are injured by, among other methods, threatening to strip them of their position within the organization if they refuse.” It says they are “universally encouraged to ‘wrestle through the pain.’” And the lawsuit mentions Chris Benoit, who was “routinely hit in the head with a chair.” Benoit, who killed his wife and son along with himself, was autopsied after his death. A doctor concluded Benoit’s brain was so damaged from CTE, it “resembled the brain of an 85-year-old Alzheimer’s patient.” Do you think something like this will bring some real change to the wrestling industry…or do these guys stand a chance at all?
Will And Jada Respond To Jaden’s Dress Everyone knows Will & Jada’s kids are on their own page , but recent snaps of Jaden rocking dresses have gotten people asking “where are their parents?!” for the umpteenth time. Will has spoken about Jaden’s fashion choices in the past, but he seemed more concerned with his son wearing the same pair of dusty shoes for years on end more so than if his clothes were gender-specific. Well a source close to the Smith fam shared with HL how they really feel about Jaden’s new easy, breezy, feminine-inspired style: “Will and Jada have their own arguments about their kids and some of the choices they make, but they are both on board when it comes to Jaden’s fashion choices. They are so used to it by now that it doesn’t bother them at all. They like his choices and think he looks pretty cool.” Well no surprises here. The figure is apparently more advanced technology than a hologram and will be be commissioned for a 2018 tour.
