DICE Content With Never Charging For DLC

Infinity Ward and DICE both released downloadable content packs for their respective military shooters yesterday. Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 ’s Stimulus Package hit Xbox 360, while Battlefield: Bad Company 2 ’s VIP Map Pack released for PC, PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360. The biggest difference between the two batches of DLC? Price. While the MW2 Stimulus Package cost 1200 Microsoft Points ($15), DICE released their DLC for free (unless you buy Bad Company 2 used in which case you have to throw down $15 to buy a VIP code to download the DLC). Ultimately, the pricing decision is the publisher’s call; in this case, EA and Activision. But as DICE senior producer Patrick Bach told Xbox World 360 magazine (via Computer and Videogames ), the free DLC approach initially came from DICE. “We don’t ever want to charge for our maps and insisted to EA that this attitude was crucial when it came to keeping our community happy and playing together,” said Bach. DICE has said they have more DLC plans in the works, and, clearly, if they have their way, it will continue to be free. However, despite Bach’s insistence that “We’re owned by EA but we’re still very much DICE,” if EA calls for a price tag for DLC, it’s hard to imagine DICE really being able to do anything about it. Thankfully, DICE has the fans love on their side, and that is always the most desirable shield to have when it comes to dealing with major publishers eyeing that bottom line. If DICE decided to charge for Bad Company 2 DLC, what would you be willing to pay for it? Do you think the MW2 DLC is overpriced or worth every cent? Source: CVG

Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush: It’s Over!

Perhaps we didn’t give Radar Online and its vague, anonymous sources enough credit, because it looks like Kim Kardashian-Reggie Bush breakup rumors are true. Sources confirm to E! News that the reality star and her Super Bowl champion NFL star beau have called it quits for real. So what was the issue this time around? The ” increased fame and crazy busy schedule” of Kim have been an ongoing source of conflict for the twosome, who reunited last August after a quick breakup. While Kim’s in South Beach shooting Season Two of Kourtney and Khloe Take Miami , Reggie, who has always had trouble with the spotlight, has been out in NYC. She was by his side as he won the championship with the New Orleans Saints this winter, and then vacationed in Costa Rica. But following that, things went south. We may never learn exactly why, as the couple mutually decided to part ways a few days ago and have agreed not to discuss the split in public, says a source. Of course, this being Kim Kardashian and Reggie Bush , another reunion between the running back and world’s greatest body isn’t completely out of the question. They do truly love each other and there’s no bad blood, say insiders close to the pair who say they’re even open to the idea of reconciling further down the road. Just the same, “they need to be apart” right now. Sad news to report for us, but also good, we suppose, in the sense that it seems like it’s what they both wanted. Besides, now there’s at least a 0.01 percent change Ray J can dump whatever skank he picked on his reality show and swoop in for another romp with Kim.

I had to go to Zone Six. Have I ever let you down?” Alley Boy gets the prize for wildest mixtape title this year (see above). The rapper said he wants to keep street rap in the spotlight. “I put that title on the mixtape because I wanted something to stand out,” Alley said. (Mission accomplished.) “Just to be different. The topics I went in on, it’s a lot of things people would call negative. My whole image, it seems it’s so negative. I went there with it. I feel that those words definitely represent my attitude. It’s so watered down in Atlanta right now. I wanted to let folks know I’m a force to be reckoned with. I wanted a strong concept and strong title.” He also has a story behind his MC name: “I’m from Zone Six. Edgewood’s finest,” he said. “The way I came up in these hallways, these cuts, these alleys, it just fit me.” Alley has a slew of guest spots holding it down for the A as well. “I wanted to go in with my boy [Young] Dro,” he said. “We got a song called ‘Tall.’ Yung L.A., we had some controversy goin’ on. I wanted to show I reach out. I’m about the A. Princess from Crime Mob is on there. She goes stupid hard.” Waka Flocka Flame is also on the mixtape, as is Gucci Mane, who called in from jail on an interlude. Joints to Check For

A high level Republican insider’s take on Sarah Palin.

This comes from an interview conducted by E Online’s Ted Casablanca (Who just recently was virtually tarred and feathered by the Palin-bots for reporting on Sarah’s great “swag grab” right before the Oscars) In this interview Casblanca asks a GOP insider what he thinks of Sarah Palin’s chances in 2012. You can read the entire interview by clicking the title above, but I wanted to direct your attention to this quote in particular: I kind of see her as the Jon Gosselin of politics: Way out of her league, thinks she’s something more than what she really is and is desperate for attention and tongue-bathing. She doesn’t know when to just go away and be quiet for a bit. Okay look I understand that when somebody is constantly seeking the spotlight and putting their personal life on display for all the world to see, like some kind of sideshow freak, that it may seem fair to compare them to one of the most shallow fame whores on the planet. But I just think that this Republican insider was being completely unfair in making this comparison! In other words I think that this man owes John Gosselin an apology!

Shannon Elizabeth Hotness Relapse

I can’t remember the last time I had Shannon Elizabeth on the site, come to think of it, I can’t remember the last time I saw Shannon Elizabeth do anything. Anyhow, here she is out the other night looking pretty decent for a chick who’s been out of the spotlight for a decade or so. I think that’s all I’ve got to say about her, how sad. This has always been her problem, she’s hot and all but once she’s gone, we forget she even existed. Like genital warts.

Matt Damon ‘Disappointed’ With President Obama’s Progress

After campaigning vigorously for Obama, the ‘Green Zone’ star voices dissatisfaction with president’s accomplishments thus far. By Larry Carroll Matt Damon Photo: Jason Kempin/ Getty Images After being one of the most prominent celebrities campaigning for change in 2008, Matt Damon is changing his tune these days, admitting that he is “disappointed” with President Barack Obama progress thus far, couching his comments by noting the inflated expectations that greeted Obama. While speaking with the press to promote his soon-to-be-released political thriller “Green Zone,” Damon reportedly told New York’s Daily News that he isn’t thrilled with how Obama’s first term has gone so far. “Everyone feels a little let down,” Damon said. “Because on some level, people expected all their problems to go away.” Damon is voicing his dismay about President Obama while promoting a movie about the failings of the previous administration. In “Green Zone,” Damon plays Roy Miller , a soldier who fights to expose the Bush regime’s lack of factual clarity regarding weapons of mass destruction. The film will no doubt bring Democrats out to the theater — but in his own personal beliefs, the always-upfront Damon refuses to tow the company line. “I’m disappointed in the health care plan,” Damon said in regards to Obama efforts that he feels are falling short. “And in the troop build-up in Afghanistan.” Less than two years ago, it was Damon who campaigned alongside Obama for “Hope” and “Change,” saying he would do “whatever it takes to help Obama win.” Nowadays, with a vocal segment of the population critically judging Obama’s first year in office, Damon is saying that people can’t sit around expecting the president to change the world. “Real change comes from everyday people,” he insisted. “You can’t wait for a leader.” A high-profile Democrat whose statements about Sarah Palin appearing on the scene “like a bad Disney movie” the spotlight when the former vice presidential candidate became a national figure, Damon went on to explain that his “Green Zone” character falls much more in line with Palin’s politics than his own. “Monty was a Republican — he voted for Bush,” explained. “He went to Iraq with the absolute conviction he was going to find the WMDs.” Damon added that he plans to stand by the president, but hopes that he gets more accomplished in his second year in office than he did in his first. “Politics is compromise,” the actor admitted. “I’m disappointed [in the compromises Obama has made].” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com .

Nicki Minaj Pulls Double Duty For BET’s ‘Rip The Runway’

MC hosts and performs on show, which airs March 15. By Jayson Rodriguez NEW YORK — With Lil Wayne scheduled to turn himself in to begin his one-year prison sentence on Tuesday, the rapper’s Young Money crew will undoubtedly move into the spotlight as they look to keep their boss’ brand burning hot. Drake is the heir apparent, but YM’s lady of rhyme, Nicki Minaj , has proven she’s just as capable of being a Weezy ambassador. On Saturday night, the female MC entertainingly pulled double duty hosting BET’s “Rip the Runway” with actor Pooch Hall and performing alongside Ludacris . “Pooch, you haven’t even complimented me on my shoes yet,” Nicki said, teasing her co-host as the pair introduced the show, set to air March 15 on BET and Centric. “The Game” actor quickly made amends, christening his counterpart “Sexy Minaj.” She certainly earned the praise: Her hot-pink minidress was hugging her curves like a long-lost relative. The dress was one of many outfit changes for Minaj. Ludacris got the crowd off their feet for the first of many times throughout the night when he kicked things off with his latest single, “My Chick Bad.” “My chick bad, tell me if you seen her,” Luda rapped. “She always bring the racket like Venus and Serena.” Minaj stormed onto the stage for the third verse, much to the delight of her fans — there were plenty of Barbiez on-board — in a snake-print bodysuit and pink wig. “Trash talk to them then I put them in a Hefty,” she rhymed. “Running down the court, I’m dunking on them Lisa Leslie.” Along with the “Rip the Runway” performances, new designers’ spring and summer lines were presented. BET’s “106 & Park” co-host Rocsi Diaz, Sean John model Miguel Perdomo and artist Amanda Diva were among those strutting down the catwalk. Upstart MC B.o.B. a.k.a. Bobby Ray performed his first single, “Nothin’ on You,” as the Tennille White Chicago line was showcased. Trina was partnered with Haute Couture during her performance. Newcomer Roscoe Dash and Soulja Boy Tell’em had the rowdiest performance of the night, hands down, with “All the Way Turnt Up.” The song was paired with sporty clothing line Protege and featured a model in high heels frantically dribbling a basketball to the beat of the horn-laden number. “We alll the waaaay turnt up,” Roscoe sang on the chorus as SB darted back and forth across the stage. A solo turn by Nicki Minaj and performances by Janelle Mon
