Source: Anna Gowthorpe – PA Images / Getty Tip Jar Robber Drowns In Pond Running From Atlanta Police Some might say that karma came back quickly for this guy, but damn… According to WSB-TV , a man who swiped a tip jar from a pizza shop in the Migos’ hometown of Gwinnett County crashed into a pond and drowned while running from police. 18-year-old Jaylen Purge was being chased by cops on Beaver Ruin Road and was found dead on Steve Reynolds Boulevard inside his car. “So this guy came, right, and I asked him, ‘How may I help you sir?’ He’s like, ‘Do you guys accept EBT stamps?’ I said, ‘No, sorry sir.’ He said, ‘How about your tips?’ He took the tip jar, and he runs away. I tried to chase him, to stop him, and he drove away like so fast, he almost ran over me,” Angeles said. Cops noticed Purge speeding away from the scene and gave chase. At some point his car ran off the road into some trees where police found his vehicle almost completely submerged. There was less than $100 in the tip jar. SMFH.

When it comes to finding the perfect gift for his 93-year-old grandmother Hattie White, Jay-Z found that gift in the form a monument that will stand the test of time. Hov, Beyoncé, their three children, his mother Gloria Carter and her mom were in Prospect Park on Christmas Eve to see and take photographs with the engraved bench the rapper gifted to his grandmother. As reported by the Jay-Z Instagram fan account @aintnojigga in a now deleted post the engraving states: “Someone is sitting in the shade today because someone planted a tree a long time ago. With love and admiration to our root, Hattie White.” It’s no secret how influential Hattie has been on their lives and in the couple’s music. Jay-Z references his grandmother in his exceptional verse on Meek Mill’s track “What’s Free,” and Beyoncé’s album Lemonade was reportedly inspired by Hattie’s speech from her 90th birthday celebration in 2015 when she stated: “I had my ups and downs, but I always find the inner strength to pull myself up. I was served lemons, but I made lemonade.” If that sounds familiar to you, it was also featured at the end of the song “Freedom” which is narrated by White herself. The R&B singer filed for divorce this past Friday (Dec. 28) in the state of Georgia. The Blast reports : According to court records, obtained by The Blast, Usher Raymond filed to divorce Grace Miguel on Friday in Georgia. The “U Got It Bad” singer is using the same attorney he retained for his previous custody fight with ex-wife, Tameka Foster. The couple, who married in 2015, split up earlier this year but there was no official action taken on their marriage. At the time, they released a joint statement, telling fans, “After much thought and consideration we have mutually decided to separate as a couple.” They added, “We remain deeply connected, loving friends who will continue supporting each other through the next phases of our lives. The enormous amount of love and respect that we have for each other will only increase as we move forward.” The outlet adds that earlier reports that Usher has filed for divorce were ultimately untrue. As previously reported Massey was subjected to racial profiling by two employees at a Portland, Oregon Doubletree for talking on the phone to his mother in the lobby. Jermaine posted a video of the incident on Instagram and said a man named Luis told him he was a “safety threat” to other guests and accused him of trespassing. The Portland Doubletree has since apologized to Jermaine…. We sincerely apologize to Mr. Massey for his treatment this past weekend, and deeply regret the experience he endured. Crazy how that works. A Sun-Sentinel article details how Boca Raton cop Jeremy Codling was fired earlier this year after it was revealed that he used the n-word and frequently told racist and offensive jokes in the presence of Black officers. Initially, only disciplinary action was taken in the form of demotion, pay reduction, and a written letter of apology. Nine days after his demotion, it was discovered that Codling lied about his behavior under oath in addition to storing several pornographic images and websites on his department-issued computer. After being fired on March 5, somehow this d-bag with a badge has been granted a second chance to be an officer of the law. Codling has been given a “last chance,” she said, because significant disciplinary action was taken, he had no previous complaints of racism and if he messes up, he’ll be out of a job, again. “The final part of the discipline is a legal document in which the officer and city agree that that if the officer exhibits any similar behavior in the future, he will be terminated,” Gibson said. Translation: He used to be such a good boy prior to his racism that we just HAD to give him another chance. Peep this sorry a$$ excuse for an apology letter: “I want you to know that I am sorry for offending you with anything I may have said or done; It was never my intent to upset you,” Codling wrote. “Hopefully we can both move forward and have a good working relationship at the Boca Raton Police Department.” That’s how you apologize to a Black man for saying the n-word huh? SMFH. F**k Florida as a whole and definitely f**k the Boca Raton Police Department specifically. They still have the nerve to act indignant and offended when we say “f**k the police”. Tuh.
