‘Breaking Dawn’ Wedding Scene Shot

‘Long wedding night until 6 am,’ ‘Twilight’ newbie Mia Maestro tweets after night shoot. By Jocelyn Vena Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson on the set of “Breaking Dawn” Photo: Fame Pictures With only a week or so reportedly left in the production of “Breaking Dawn,” members of the film’s cast have teased fans that the big wedding scene between Edward and Bella has been shot. “Long wedding night until 6 am. Everyone was SO neatly frocked up 🙂 Just about to start facing this Saturday…,” “Twilight” newbie Mia Maestro tweeted on Saturday night, revealing nothing else about the highly anticipated scene. Ashley Greene seemed equally tired by the shoot when she too took to Twitter on Sunday to share with her fans her exhaustion from shooting into the wee hours. “Whyyyyyyyy can’t I fall asleep! These night shoots are killing me! Messing up my sleep patterns hard core,” she wrote . You most likely won’t see leaked shots from the wedding scene after sexy photos of Edward and Bella in bed on their honeymoon hit the Internet late last week. The leak prompted “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer and director Bill Condon to release a letter proclaiming how “heartbroken” they were over the shots being released. Pattinson also addressed the leaks to MTV News over the weekend, noting that he was equally upset about the shots making their way online. “It’s just ridiculous. I literally can’t believe that it happened,” he explained at the junket for “Water for Elephants,” adding, “I want the ‘Twilight’ troops to mobilize, all the good fans, and find out who these little sh–s are and just hack into their computers and destroy them. I’m being genuinely serious, ‘Twilight’ fans … Punish them.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com . Robert Pattinson Fumes Over ‘Breaking Dawn’ Photo Leak

‘Water for Elephants’ star calls for ‘the ‘Twilight’ troops to mobilize.’ By Aly Semigran, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson Photo: MTV News Twihards, your call to action for retribution and justice has come. And, the call, by the way, is coming from none other than Robert Pattinson . When MTV News caught up with “Twilight” star Pattinson on Sunday, a hot topic was those leaked ” Breaking Dawn ” photos that hit the Web (and were swiftly taken down), and the star was obviously fuming mad about the whole thing. “It’s just ridiculous. I literally can’t believe that it happened,” Pattinson said regarding the photos, which show his character, Edward, and Bella (Kristen Stewart) on their honeymoon and Bella going through what appears to be her vampire transformation. Pattinson, who said he wanted to speak to us about the leaked pictures “because MTV seemed like the right place to do it,” immediately asked for help from the series’ most hard-core — and equally ticked-off — fans. “I want the ‘Twilight’ troops to mobilize, all the good fans, and find out who these little sh–s are and just hack into their computers and destroy them,” RPattz said with a laugh, later adding, “I’m being genuinely serious, ‘Twilight’ fans … Punish them.” In fact, the 24-year-old star — who is promoting his latest flick, the period drama “Water for Elephants” — then asked Twihards to do him another favor while they are bringing down the culprits: “Find out who hacked into my e-mail address, too, and destroy them,” he urged. It wasn’t just the content of the leaked images that bothered Pattinson so much — “It’s raw footage: It’s not even what people are going to see,” he noted — but the intention behind it. “Why do this maliciously? You’re not a fan. You’re just a di–,” he said, once again with a laugh, adding,”That’s all there is to it. “I’d understand it more if they sold the stuff,” he continued, referring to those who pulled the online stunt. “But, it’s like, ‘Oh, you just want to be annoying?’ ” At one point, with an exasperated sigh, the actor called the people responsible for the leaks “idiots.” Pattinson also said he was angry on behalf of all of those who are currently working on the final two installments of the wildly popular saga, saying the leaks are frustrating “especially when you’ve been working on something for eight months.” “It’s an exciting movie, and everything is so different, and a lot of people have worked really, really hard.” Of course, Pattinson wasn’t the only one upset by the leak. On Friday, Summit Entertainment, “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer, “Breaking Dawn” director Bill Condon and producer Wyck Godfrey released a statement on Facebook that read, “As some of you may know, pictures and screen grabs of ‘The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn’ as a work in progress have leaked on the Internet. We are extremely proud of this film and also extremely heartbroken to see it out there at this stage. The film and these images are not yet ready or in their proper context. They were illegally obtained and their early dissemination is deeply upsetting to the actors, the filmmakers and Summit who are working so hard to bring these movies to fruition to you in November 2011 and November 2012.” The message went on to urge, “Please, for those who are posting, stop. And please, though the temptation is high, don’t view or pass on these images. Wait for the film in its beautiful, finished entirety to thrill you.” Luckily, the photos, which have mostly been all but erased from the Web, didn’t even reach Pattinson. The star, who revealed that he and Stewart haven’t filmed their “Breaking Dawn” wedding scene yet, nor has he seen Bella’s wedding dress , noted, “I didn’t even see the leaks.” Sound off about the leaked “Breaking Dawn” photos in the comments section below. Yesterday, tragedy struck the production of Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn in the form of leaked stills depicting Bella (Kristen Stewart) and Edward (Robert Pattinson) consummating their relationship between the sheets. Emily Browning Talks Auditioning For ‘Hunger Games’

‘Sucker Punch’ star also opens up about declining ‘Twilight’ audition. By Terri Schwartz Emily Browning Photo: Jason Merritt/ Getty Images The role might have recently gone to Jennifer Lawrence , but there was a point in time when “Sucker Punch” star Emily Browning might have played District 12 champion Katniss Everdeen in the upcoming Lionsgate adaptation of “The Hunger Games.” “I read for [‘Hunger Games’] a couple of times, but I’ve never read the book, to be honest — which I know is terrible of me,” Browning said in an interview with the Playlist . “I was nervous about it.” Despite the fact Browning started out her acting career as one of the leads in an adaptation of a popular children’s series, it was that experience that turned her off from moving on to starring in the young-adult genre. She admitted that there was a period of time between when she filmed 2004’s “Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events” and when she agreed to come onboard Friday’s “Sucker Punch” that she seriously considered quitting acting altogether. It was during that time that she found out “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer said she would be the perfect Bella Swan for the upcoming adaptation of the novel, but Browning wasn’t ready to commit to a franchise. “I was just exhausted, and I was like, ‘I’m sorry, but I just can’t sign onto a trilogy right now,’ ” Browning told MTV News in 2009, after she finished “The Uninvited.” “To be honest, if I had gone on to do the film straight after ‘The Uninvited,’ I would not have been a good Bella . and I’m hoping people realize that now.” But it was the fact that she was vilified for reportedly turning down the “Twilight” role that caused Browning to remain so hush-hush about trying out for “Hunger Games.” “It’s always hard for me to talk about these kinds of things, because I know there was a big deal with ‘Twilight’ and my involvement with people wanting me to do ‘Twilight,’ so I’m always like, ‘Oh, people love this book so much, I don’t want to get involved, I don’t want to talk about it!’ ” Browning explained. “I read for [‘Hunger Games’] a couple of times, but I think every single girl in Hollywood read for it a couple of times, to be honest.” Would you have liked to see Emily Browning play Katniss Everdeen or Bella Swan? Meet The New Superman: Henry Cavill

British actor known for ‘The Tudors’ was once attached to McG-helmed reboot. By Mawuse Ziegbe Henry Cavill Photo: Michael Loccisano/FilmMagic He’ll be flying into movie theaters in 2012, but who exactly is the newest Superman, Henry Cavill? The latest screen star to don the famed crimson cape has gained fame as a castmember of Showtime’s period romp “The Tudors,” and will hit the big screen in the upcoming Greek mythology epic “War of the Gods.” But before he was tapped to play the iconic superhero, he was super close to portraying everyone from Twilight’s Edward Cullen to James Bond to, ironically, Superman in another filmmaker’s vision of the superhero. He was up for Superman before British screen star Cavill has been making a name for himself stateside as Sir Charles Brandon on the saucy historical drama “The Tudors,” but he’s come close to portraying Superman before. MTV News caught up with Cavill back in 2009, and the then 25-year-old star told us he was set to zip through the sky as the Man of Steel in director McG’s (“Terminator Salvation”) take on the American icon. However, a shuffling of filmmakers resulted in Cavill getting dropped from the project, which eventually became the 2006 flick “Superman Returns.” “I was attached to the McG ‘Superman’ movie,” Cavill told MTV News “Then Bryan Singer came on and took the helm and he made his movie. “[The McG and Singer versions] were two different movies,” Cavill explained. “So it wasn’t so much of a sting because it was like, ‘Oh, I got [the role],’ and then the movie just didn’t happen.” He also reportedly missed out “Batman” … and “The Green Lantern” Cavill was rumored to be on the shortlist of leading men up to vanquish Gotham-area baddies in Christopher Nolan’s “Batman” franchise, a role which eventually went to fellow Brit Christian Bale. Ryan Reynolds also reportedly beat out Cavill for the “Green Lantern” series. He lost Edward Cullen to Robert Pattinson Thanks to RPattz, Cavill missed out on one of the biggest movie franchises in recent years, “Twilight,” even though he had some strong support in his corner. “Twilight” author Stephenie Meyer once said that Cavill was her dream choice but Mother Nature thwarted the casting. “The only actor I’ve ever seen who I think could come close to pulling off Edward Cullen is Henry Cavill. Henry was Albert, the young son in ‘The Count of Monte Cristo.’ Can you see it? I know I can!” Meyer blogged in 2007. However, after some delays in development, Meyer conceded that Cavill had aged out of “Twilight” territory. “The most disappointing thing for me is losing my perfect Edward.” “By the time the movie came around, I didn’t look right for the character,” Cavill explained to MTV News in 2009, adding, “No one even called me or my agent.” … And he was almost James Bond The actor also auditioned for the role of 007 in “Casino Royale,” but instead Daniel Craig knocked back shaken martinis and coolly took out henchmen as the world’s first blond Bond. He may not have played Bond but he does drive the character’s famed car In a 2009 interview with JustJared.com , Cavill opened up about his biggest splurge, which he said was an Aston Martin — the same sleek, high-end ride that’s been associated with Bond. “It was one of those things that just ended up happening, like, ‘Right, okay, just treat yourself,” he said. The star also dished that he enjoys video games like World of Warcraft and shows like “Dexter.” Related Photos Henry Cavill Imagined As The New Superman

‘Breaking Dawn’ Star Angela Sarafyan Gushes Over Castmates, Director

Actress, who plays Tia, gives MTV News a ‘Breaking Dawn’ update straight from the set. By Jocelyn Vena Angela Sarafyan Photo: Alberto E. Rodriguez/ Getty Images Angela Sarafyan came onto the “Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn” set last November and was warmly welcomed by the director as well as her castmates. When MTV News recently spoke to Sarafyan, who plays vampire Tia of the Egyptian coven, she gushed about her experience on the movie set. “I went on-set and met Bill Condon and he is truly such a great, great person,” she said. “I’m honestly humbled by the fact that he is kind and generous and, with the enormity of this film, has been so graceful about giving every actor their time. He immediately put me on a great starting point. We were all in this incredible Egyptian casbah in Baton Rouge [back in November] and it was quite magnificent. It was quite easy. It’s not as pressure-filled as you’d think. It felt like an independent project where everyone’s having a nice time, no one’s pressured. It’s been that way almost every day that we’ve worked on this.” Three movies into the franchise already, the crew is currently in the midst of filming the final two films, “Breaking Dawn” parts one and two, and the “Twilight” newbie says that things are so relaxed on the set that she doesn’t feel like a rookie castmate. “I was telling my mom, and I say these kids, they’re [probably] people who are not very nice and they’re stuck up … and they’re the complete opposite. They’re very kind and sweet and normal and awesome,” she explained. “I don’t think I could find anything bad to say about a single person on the set. They’re quite humble and normal people. It was a delight to come into that. “About being the new kid on the set, there’s so many of us, we’ve all become a family ultimately,” she added. “It’s been quite easy.” Sarafyan even got to help create a bit of backstory in order to play Tia. “I always envisioned Tia like Cleopatra and Benjamin like Marc Anthony, so even though they’re the younger vampires, they’re very strong-willed and rebels. We have this entire history of how they were 4 and they met and they fell in love and at 16 they turned into vampires,” she explained. “It’s something along those lines. And it’s funny, I spoke to Stephenie Meyer and she has a similar idea of what we created.” Now Sarafyan and the rest of the cast are “actually in the middle of it all. We’re midway through and we’re not necessarily shooting as the script goes.” And as Robert Pattinson recently revealed, the big fight scene is currently being shot. “We’re shooting it on green screen, so it’s really quite unpredictable because we don’t know what we’re going to be doing day to day. Every character is pretty much in it except Ashley Greene’s character and Jackson [Rathbone’s] character. Were spending 14 hours a day hanging out with each other and it’s been really exciting because at the end of the day, we don’t know what it’s going to look like,” Sarafyan said. “It’s almost half the script, so it’s taking a while to shoot it.” Sarafyan’s next film is “A Good Old-Fashioned Orgy,” in which she co-stars with “Saturday Night Live” players Will Forte and Jason Sudeikis. ‘Eclipse’ Will Be Re-Released On Friday To Celebrate Bella’s Birthday

‘The Twilight Saga: Eclipse’ will hit theaters again on September 10. By Jocelyn Vena Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson in “Eclipse” Photo: Summit Didn’t get a chance to see “Eclipse” in theaters the first time around? No problem! The movie will be re-released this Friday (September 10). Summit is releasing the flick to the cinemas again in honor of Bella’s birthday, which is on September 13. “Bella Swan’s birthday is on September 13! What are you doing to celebrate?” a message on “The Twilight Saga” official Facebook page reads. “In celebration of Bella’s birthday, ECLIPSE will be re-released in theatres nationwide this Friday! It’s your last chance to see it on the big screen with your friends.” The film, the third installment in the “Twilight Saga,” was originally released last June. It follows the love triangle between Bella, Edward and Jacob as they fend off a group of vampires, led by Victoria, who would like to see Bella out of the picture. In addition to fending off evil vamps, Bella must decide if she wants to stay human and possibly be in a relationship with werewolf Jacob or turn vampire in order to be with her true love, Edward, a choice that Jacob hopes she doesn’t make. “The love triangle is real,” Stewart said of the power struggle back in June, just as the film was hitting theaters. “In [ ‘Eclipse’ ], she is just older and a little bit more [wise]. Now you really believe her. It took a while for her to know herself well enough to make a decision.” After the “Twilight” actors wrap up other projects they are working on, they will head back to the set to film the last two movies in the series, “Breaking Dawn” parts one and two , expected for release in 2011 and 2012 respectively. “Dreamgirls” director Bill Condon will helm the final film adaptations of Stephenie Meyer’s best-selling books. Nikki Reed Explains Bella And Rosalie’s ‘Breaking Dawn’ Bond

The onetime rivals’ love for baby Renesmee is ‘the one thing that’s strong enough to bring them together.’ By Kara Warner Nikki Reed Photo: MTV News With “Eclipse” about to leave theaters and a sizable gap between the release dates of “Breaking Dawn – Part 1” and “Part 2,” the “Twilight” news seems hard to come by these days — at least until the cast starts filming “Dawn” this fall. Lucky for us, MTV News caught up with Nikki Reed recently to talk about her upcoming indie film “Last Day of Summer” co-starring DJ Qualls, and, naturally, the conversation veered into “Breaking Dawn” territory. As fans and readers of Stephenie Meyer’s final “Twilight” book know, Reed’s character Rosalie and Kristen Stewart’s Bella form an unexpected bond late in the series. We asked her thoughts on how the relationship between the two women changes in the final two films. “What is that saying: Nothing makes two people bond more than the hate of another?” Reed said. “I kind of feel like that [describes Bella and Rosalie’s relationship], but in relation to love in ‘Breaking Dawn,’ because they both love this child so much.” Speaking of Bella and Edward’s much-discussed baby, Renesmee, Reed explained that a shared love unites the two. “I think it’s finally the one thing that’s strong enough to bring them together — their love for this [child]. It’s bizarre,” Reed said, since in the books and the films Bella and Rosalie don’t exactly get along perfectly. “It’s like they learn to co-exist for the sake of the kid, almost like they’re a divorced couple.” Reed has also said that her character’s motivations for wanting Bella to have the baby at all costs are all about that love she has for the child, not politics. “I think that Rosalie just always wanted to be a mom, and that’s how I look at it,” she said. “It has nothing to do with being pro-life or anything. I think it’s about her want, her need to be a mother, and this is the only opportunity she’s ever going to have, so she’s willing to let Bella die so she can have that and fulfill that, and that’s how I look at it. It’s her own personal desires.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn – Part 1.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com .

Is James Franco Joining The ‘Twilight’ Cast?

Actor shows up for Esquire interview holding Stephenie Meyer book, saying, ‘It’s for a project.’ By Eric Ditzian James Franco Photo: Getty Images What’s fun about James Franco is that you never know what to expect from him. He might pop up in some self-deprecating Funny or Die videos, or play a pillow-obsessed weirdo on “30 Rock,” or appear as a serial killer on “General Hospital.” Heck, the guy is starring in the latest reworking of the “Planet of the Apes” franchise . He keeps you guessing. So what are we to make of this new Esquire interview, in which Franco hints he’s getting involved with “Twilight”? When the interviewer first meets the 32-year-old actor, he’s cradling a paperback that he reluctantly admits is the first volume in Stephenie Meyer’s vampire series, saying, “It’s for a project.” Does that mean he could be joining the cast of “Breaking Dawn,” which is set to begin filming in the fall? Or is this mysterious project just about vampires or teenage drama? A rep for Franco did not return MTV News’ request for comment by press time. All we can say for certain, at this point, is that Franco is a fan of the book. “It’s crazy how much sexual tension there is,” he said. “It just builds and builds. I mean it never stops. It’s sort of explosive by the end. Crazy. Like they’ll blow up with it. And of course, they don’t. Which is the point too, I guess.” Franco did say that the project was “way, way off” and only “something I’m thinking about,” so Twi-hards should proceed with their Franco dreams with caution. Whether or not he joins the “Twilight” cast, it’s funny to note that his brother, Dave, actually auditioned for the role of Edward Cullen. And he’s not sorry he lost out on the part to Robert Pattinson. “I don’t want that kind of fame,” the younger Franco said. “Hell no. I don’t like the idea of losing my anonymity and not having a personal life.” Check out everything we’ve got on “The Twilight Saga: Breaking Dawn.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com .
