In January, Kristen Stewart was named the spokesperson of Balenciaga . And now The Twilight Saga star has posed for her first campaign on behalf of this fragrance company. She looks as happy as usual on the poster, too: Photographer Steven Meisel shot the photo, which Stewart endorsed during a recent chat with Women’s Wear Daily. “There is something natural about it,” Kristen said of the pose and set-up. “It’s very alive. I think that as a young person wearing it – considering that I’ve never worn a scent – it kind of puts you on this level of, like, ‘Whoa, check me out.’” The scent promoted here, Florabotanica, combines mint, vetiver and amber. Robert Pattinson is likely taking a whiff of it right about now.
‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ actress also addresses rumors of a fairy-tale sequel with MTV News. By Fallon Prinzivalli, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart Photo: Frazer Harrison/ Getty Images Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart have been co-stars both on- and offscreen. Now, with their wildly successful film franchise coming to a close, the stars behind Edward Cullen and Bella Swan may be exploring another film project together. When MTV News caught up with Stewart at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards , we asked her to address rumors that she and Pattinson are working on a script together. “We are constantly working,” she said, “but no.” ” We are!” her “Snow White and the Huntsman” co-star Chris Hemsworth chimed in. ” ‘Snow White and the Huntsman 2’ written by us, and it might be more of a straight-to-video version if they let us write it.” “No, no, ” Stewart replied. Hemsworth defended his statement: “If they let us write it! If they let us write it.” “It’ll be better,” she said. “Our version? We’ve basically written it. No, I’m kidding. We’re gonna write the second one, all of us [in the cast].” “We are,” Hemsworth agreed. “It’s gonna be a group kind of exercise. Everyone just closes their eyes and start scribbling and then whatever’s on that page, [that’s the script].” Talk surrounding a “Snow White” sequel was previously reported back in April, when Universal was said to have approached screenwriter David Koepp about penning a script. Stewart told MTV News last year that she’s “over the moon” about this project and would “love” to work on more films if the franchise continues. While the movie’s director, Rupert Sanders, said the fairy-tale princess could go dark in a sequel, Stewart remains skeptical. “Well, I’m not saying anything. Nothing at all,” she laughed. “Let’s undermine our entire lead character in the very second [film]. It’s like, ‘No, that’s my whole [thing].’ It would be so weird to [make her darker]. It would break me, which would probably be interesting to watch.” “But then we have to rebuild you, which is exciting,” Hemsworth added. “That’s the third one, the rebuilding,” Stewart replied. “See how far in the future she lives?” the Aussie actor said, addressing us. “Never in the moment.” Well, she is coming off four films, soon to be five, with “The Twilight Saga.” And Hemsworth conceded, “She’s done this before, hasn’t she?” Check out everything we’ve got on “Snow White and the Huntsman.” For young Hollywood news, fashion and “Twilight” updates around the clock, visit HollywoodCrush.MTV.com .
‘Hunger Games’ sequel reportedly eyeing Armie Hammer, Taylor Kitsch and Garrett Hedlund for the role; let’s take a closer look. By Fallon Prinzivalli Armie Hammer Photo: Getty Images Fans have been rallying behind their favorite actors to star in “The Hunger Games” since the books were released. The most popular character to speculate about is Finnick Odair, who makes his debut in the franchise’s second novel, “Catching Fire.” With the movie set to begin filming in the fall, rumors have been flying surrounding who will land the role of the dreamy District 4 victor. Most recently, Robert Pattinson was linked to the part , and even though fans supported him, he quickly denied those rumors. With countless actors’ names tossed into the casting hat, there’s speculation that the film may be down to its final three choices for Finnick. E! Online reports a source who revealed the top guys in the running are “Battleship” star Taylor Kitsch , “The Social Network” actor Armie Hammer and “TRON: Legacy” star Garrett Hedlund . When MTV News reached out to Lionsgate for confirmation, we received this statement: “Like the first film, Lionsgate won’t be commenting on any of the rumors until we officially announce.” Alongside “Bridesmaids,” “The Hunger Games” is the most-nominated film at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards landing eight nods including Best Kiss, Best Cast and the coveted Movie of the Year. Jennifer Lawrence is nominated for Best Actress, Josh Hutcherson is up for Best Actor and Liam Hemsworth has a shot at Breakthrough Performance. There’s still time to vote for your favorite stars before the awards air this Sunday, June 3 at 9 p.m. ET by heading over to MovieAwards.MTV.com . So while we wait to see which film is your favorite and which leading man is joining this incredible cast of stars, we thought we’d take a look at the good and bad of each actor landing the role of Finnick. Taylor Kitsch The Good : If you’ve seen “Friday Night Lights,” you know Kitsch’s ability to play a self-assured character. As womanizer Tim Riggins, he certainly knows how to gaze at a lady until she swoons. Finnick exudes the same arrogant charm — though he’s more of a one-woman man. At one point in “Catching Fire,” he reads a poem to the citizens of the Capitol dedicated to his one true love, and many of the audience members faint, believing it’s about them. Kitsch certainly has that same charisma to capture viewers’ attention. The Bad : Kitsch’s huge roles aren’t gaining him any box-office success. After Disney shelled out $250 million on the epic “John Carter,” it raked in only $30.6 million domestically its first weekend in theaters. Similarly, he headed up Peter Berg’s “Battleship,” which was released in theaters May 18 and currently has a 34 percent rating on Rotten Tomatoes. While he’d be a supporting character to Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss, he may need the success of the franchise more than the franchise needs him. Armie Hammer The Good : Like Jennifer Lawrence and Josh Hutcherson, Hammer played a vital role in a film nominated for Best Picture at the 83rd annual Academy Awards. With “The Social Network” under his belt, he’d fit right in with Lawrence, who was nominated for Best Actress for her role in “Winter’s Bone,” and Hutcherson, whose film “The Kids Are All Right” was also nominated for Original Screenplay. He can hold his own in the spotlight and already understands the fame that comes with a wildly popular film. If the casting directors continue on their award-winning path, choosing Hammer is a no-brainer. The Bad : His tight schedule may conflict with “The Hunger Games” when it begins filming. He’s currently working on “The Lone Ranger” with Johnny Depp and is already linked to three other films with tentative 2013-14 release dates: “By Virtue Fall,” “Cut Bank” and “2:22.” Since this role is so important to fans, they won’t want an actor who may not be able to devote 100 percent to the project. Garrett Hedlund The Good : Hedlund recently made his way to the Cannes Film Festival, where he debuted his film “On the Road” alongside “Twilight” star Kristen Stewart. While the film itself received mixed reviews , Owen Gleiberman from Entertainment Weekly singled out Hedlund’s acting, writing, “The best thing in the movie is Garrett Hedlund’s performance as Dean Moriarty. … [He] is as hunky as the young Brad Pitt, and like Pitt, he’s a wily, change-up actor. He gives Dean eyes that glitter with a seductive enthusiasm that borders on being a little cracked.” Did that last sentence also instantly remind you of Finnick, “Hunger Games” fans? The Bad : While he’s been fairly successful in films like “Country Strong” and “Four Brothers,” he hasn’t had enough roles allowing him to prove his abilities to take on such a large project. The role of Finnick may shock him a bit, especially considering the fame that’s sure to come along with it. But then again, he could always ask Stewart for advice. While we wait to hear who will officially be taking on the role of Finnick, catch your favorite “Hunger Games” actors at the 2012 MTV Movie Awards. During MTV Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week, KStew explains why the final film of the saga left her ‘shell-shocked.’ By Kevin P. Sullivan, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart Photo: MTV News Even with one enormous summer blockbuster a week away from release, Kristen Stewart excitedly discussed the conclusion to the “Twilight Saga” at a MTV Movie Awards Sneak Peek Week event for ” Snow White and the Huntsman .” ” Breaking Dawn – Part 2 ,” which won’t hit theaters until this November, surely ranks among one of the most anticipated films of the year, and Stewart counts herself among those eager to see the finale. “I’m excited. I have to see it done,” she told MTV News’ Josh Horowitz. “I haven’t seen it. It’s a big deal.” The story for the final “Twilight” will take the story in an intriguing different direction as Bella adjusts to life as a new mom and a new vampire, no longer the plain Jane every-girl. Stewart told MTV News that the change makes for a surprisingly different movie experience. “It’s so bizarre, the tone change. You’ve always been behind her. You’ve always been using her. She’s how you see that world,” she said. “Now that her perspective has completely changed, it’s like ‘Where am I?’ It’s really cool. I, myself, am still a little bit shell-shocked. It’s not like sitting down and watching a ‘Twilight’ movie.” From the sounds of it, “Breaking Dawn – Part 2” will likely have more than a few award-worthy moments, much like “Part 1”. Kristen Stewart and Robert Pattinson will be returning to the MTV Movie Awards , airing this Sunday at 9 p.m. ET, to defend their long-running legacy as the Best Kiss champions, along with several other nominations for “Breaking Dawn – Part 1”. ‘When she says ‘I don’t give a f—,’ she means that,’ the ‘Snow White and the Huntsman’ actress tells MTV News. By Fallon Prinzivalli, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Charlize Theron Photo: MTV News For two people who seem so different, Kristen Stewart and Charlize Theron have great offscreen chemistry. In our “MTV First: Snow White and the Huntsman,” they made each other laugh with their comments and played off each other’s answers — like when Stewart described Theron in three words, saying, “I want you,” and Theron replied, “You got it,” and spread her legs apart. When MTV News’ Josh Horowitz caught up with the “Young Adult” actress, she chalked up their friendship to the age-old “opposites attract” phenomenon, saying that what specifically attracts her to Stewart is her genuine personality. “The first thing I noticed about her was when she says ‘I don’t give a f—,’ she means that,” Theron said. “She’s not just trying to be cool. She’s not trying to be edgy. She’s very, very authentic, and that’s what I like about her.” The two actresses star in an original adaptation of the classic fairy tale “Snow White,” which follows the princess as she fights alongside the Huntsman to reclaim her kingdom from the evil Queen Ravenna. The film hits theaters June 1, and Theron got to know Stewart as they worked on the project together. “I think that there’s an incredible girl there,” Theron said. “And I like that she’s so different because I think that it’s authentic — and there’s nothing I despise more than people trying to be something that they’re not. And all these, kind of, quirks that she has, they’re authentic to who she is and she’s not putting it on, she’s not trying to do it. She’s just really who she is.” While the “Twilight” actress has received bad press in the past when people mistook her timid nature for rudeness or conceit, her co-star had nothing but praise for her character. “You know, a lot of people at that age can still be [finding themselves]. And of course she’s still going to be finding herself in certain [ways], but I’m pretty impressed with where she is already at her very young age,” Theron said. “And I have so much respect for someone who can just authentically be themselves.” Check out everything we’ve got on “Snow White and the Huntsman.” For breaking news, celebrity columns, humor and more — updated around the clock — visit MTVMoviesBlog.com . Kristen Stewart. Who knew she had it in her?!? At last night’s MTV Movie Awards , the Twilight Saga star won Best Kiss along with co-star and real-life boyfriend Robert Pattinson. It was the latter’s third consecutive time taking home this trophy, only in this case Pattinson and Stewart did not make out, nor did Rob kiss Taylor Lautner , because he was not in attendance. So, what was a lonely Stewart to do on stage? Actually be funny! She called out for Chris Hemsworth as a make-out partner… then Charlize Theron… and finally Lautner (“Taylor, old friend. Help an old friend. Come on!”). When no one showed up, Kristen was forced to rely on her own lips. Watch the video now and see what we mean: Kristen Stewart Wins Best Kiss
Superhero flick trails behind two James Cameron blockbusters in the first and second all-time-gross spots. By Terri Schwartz Chris Hemsworth and Scarlett Johansson in the “Avengers” Photo: Marvel Watch out James Cameron because “The Avengers” is coming for you next. Marvel’s all-star team of superheroes has officially become the number-three highest-grossing movie of all time in the United States as well as worldwide, besting “The Dark Knight” and “Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, Part 2” for the honor. As of June 1, the movie made $538 million domestically and $1.3 billion worldwide, placing it behind only Cameron’s “Titanic” and “Avatar.” That’s not the only number-three spot “The Avengers” is in. “Snow White and the Huntsman” has debuted with a strong $20 million Friday gross in its debut weekend, knocking “Men in Black 3” from its top spot last weekend. “MIB3” came in second on Friday with an $8.3 million intake, while “The Avengers” rounded out the top three with $5.7 million. In all likelihood, that ranking will be indicative of the rest of the weekend as well. Considering “The Avengers” has been in theaters for a month, that’s some pretty strong continued momentum. We’ll attribute some of it to fans wanting to support their favorite Avengers going into the 2012 MTV Movie Awards weekend. Captain America and Thor are facing off against each other in the Best Hero category, but they’ve got some stiff competition in the form of Harry Potter, Katniss Everdeen and “21 Jump Street” ‘s Jenko. There’s only a very slim chance that “The Avengers” will climb any higher on the all-time box-office charts. In the U.S., it would have to top $659 million to oust Cameron’s “Titanic” and cross $761 million to beat “Avatar.” And it seems even less likely that it will pass either of those movies worldwide, as it would have to more than double its international grosses. Still, not too shabby for Marvel’s group of superheroes. Related Videos MTV Rough Cut: ‘The Avengers’ Related Photos ‘Avengers’ Snow White And The Huntsman

Best Kiss nominee and Movie Awards presenter says she was ‘so not ready’ for film’s emotionally charged speech. By Amy Wilkinson, with reporting by Josh Horowitz Kristen Stewart Photo: MTV News UNIVERSAL CITY, California — In her latest film, “Snow White and the Huntsman,” actress Kristen Stewart proves that the fabled heroine is not only fair, but incredibly fierce. Suiting up in armor and wielding a glinting sword, Snow White must save her kingdom from the clutches of her evil stepmother, Queen Ravenna (played by Charlize Theron ). Yet, for as much onscreen bravery as she showed, Stewart was admittedly apprehensive about one scene in particular, she revealed during Sneak Peek Week, leading up to the 2012 MTV Movie Awards tomorrow at 9 p.m. ET, where the actress is also a presenter. Stewart, along with co-star Sam Claflin , took to the Universal Studios CityWalk stage to debut an exclusive clip from the film and participate in a 30-minute Q&A session. When asked by a fan in the audience which scene was the most emotional for her to film, the Best Kiss nominee hesitated before recalling a moment late in the movie in which Snow White rallies her troops. Clad in a billowing white gown, Stewart delivers a rousing monologue, encouraging the townspeople to take up arms against the Queen — not for her sake but for their own. “It kept getting kicked to the end of the schedule. It was like, ‘I’m so not ready for that; put that one off a little longer,’ ” Stewart recalled. “Every single day we were re-writing it. I still need to frame that thing — laminate it somehow and give it to Rupert [Sanders] the director — the different renditions of it. It’s disintegrating.” Co-star Claflin was quick to praise Stewart for her performance in the movie’s pivotal moment. “The girl was wearing no shoes in the coldest day of English history and was wearing, like, a nightie,” Claflin said. “I don’t know how she did it, honestly. Man power. Woman power. Girl power … she did a smashing job on that.” Head over to MovieAwards.MTV.com to vote for your favorite flicks now!
