Boys just wanna have fun … New Haven police arrested a man at Red’s Café, in Connecticut, just before 12:30 a.m. on Sunday after receiving a report of someone inside with a gun, police said: A bar employee told police she’d argued with Sean Peterson, 38, of New Haven, when he insisted on entering the bar on ladies night, police said. She told police that Peterson displayed a gun when she told him he couldn’t enter the bar because he wasn’t a lady, police said. After Peterson went to the bar, the employee and the owner called police. When police responded and approached Peterson, he reached into his pocket, swore at the officers and fled, police said. Officers tackled Peterson after what they called a violent struggle and removed a knife from his left pants pocket and a .41 caliber Smith & Wesson model 657 Magnum revolver, police said. Empire State Building Shooting Victims Were Shot By Police A laid-off designer hellbent on revenge executed the man he blamed for his firing on a packed Midtown street yesterday — and then baited NYPD officers into a suicide-by-cop outside the Empire State Building that left nine pedestrians struck by police gunfire. Jeffrey Johnson maniacally pumped five rounds into his former colleague Steve Ercolino around 9 a.m. outside 10 W. 33rd Street. He then calmly strolled onto bustling Fifth Avenue, where he pointed his weapon at cops. The ensuing gunfire sent tourists and commuters into a frenzied scramble for cover right in front of the main entrance of the landmark skyscraper. “I couldn’t believe there was a shooting at 9 o’clock in the morning in front of the Empire State Building!” said Marc Engel, an accountant who witnessed the shoot-’em-up from an M34 bus. “It took about 15 seconds, a lot of pop, pop, pop, pop — one shot after another.” How the hell did 9 people get shot by the cops you ask? Johnson, who was carrying a black canvas tote-bag, pulled out his .45 as he spotted the cops — who were posted outside the Empire State Building. The officers ordered him to “freeze” and drop his weapon, but Johnson raised his gun instead, according to Browne. The cops opened fire — hitting Johnson with at least seven of their 17 shots, Browne said. Two innocent bystanders were hit by rounds from the cops’ guns, while another seven passers-by were grazed or struck by bullet fragments that ricocheted off large flower pots along Fifth Avenue. Here are some of the facts that have been revealed in the wake of the tragic shooting * All nine wounded bystanders were struck by NYPD bullets that were aimed at Johnson, whose handgun jammed when he tried to shoot at the officers. The victims were five women and four men. * Johnson, 58, blamed his victim and ex-co-worker, sales exec Steve Ercolino, for causing his dismissal as a women’s accessory designer about two years ago from Hazan Import Co. * One of the cops who killed Johnson, Officer Craig Matthews, is suing the NYPD for retaliation he faced after exposing arrest and summons quotas in The Bronx’s 42nd Precinct. This Dude is Sick! Nate Summerfield was arrested for murdering his on-again-off-again girlfriend. Apparently, he had a history of abusing the 33-year-old, Lynn Jackenheimer, who is also a mother of two. The “couple” were on vacation with her children when the murder took place. Nate Summerfield, 27, was captured by U.S. Marshals at a Legacy Inn motel in Wadsworth, Ohio, where he checked in yesterday under a fake name, authorities said. The bust capped a nationwide manhunt for Summerfield, who is suspected of strangling Lynn Jackenheimer during a July 4 beach vacation in the Outer Banks. Around the time of the alleged crime, Summerfield was photographed playing happily on a beach with the kids. But things appeared to have turned stormy for the troubled relationship sometime during the family holiday. The 33-year-old Ashland mom’s body was found on July 14 in a bag in a cul-de-sac on Hatteras Island. An autopsy showed she was strangled and stabbed. Summerfield returned from the trip to Ashland on July 8 with the two children but without Jackenheimer. His brother told police that Summerfield confessed to strangling her and then fled in his car without the kids. The two had a 3-year-old son together, Leland, while Jackenheimer’s 13-year-old daughter, Ciara, was from a previous relationship. Family members said the two had a turbulent history, and Summerfield had a history of roughing up Jackenheimer. We wanted to show you what everyone in court saw and see if it changes your opinion. An overwhelming amount of feedback and big opinions were tossed around on and offline yesterday about the Tony Farmer case. All of this makes us ask the question, Have we become too forgiving when it comes to Assault? Are we more concerned about this talented athlete and his ruined Basketball career? Should he have gotten a slap on the wrist and been sent on his way? His Lawyer seemed to think Farmer would get probation and from Tony’s reaction yesterday, we’re pretty sure he was thinkin’ the same. Maybe he should have gotten served with mandatory time at a treatment facility? Maybe he won’t serve all three years of his sentence? We can try to spin this in a positive light but really, what it boils down to is another Assault case that has our community up in arms…but for the wrong reason. We are somehow neglecting to keep in mind that Tony plead guilty to robbery, assault, kidnapping (which is a federal offense and brings more than 3 years in some cases), and intimidation of the victim. All of this stemming from the same attack you just watched. That same attack where you see his ex crouching in a corner, flinching away from him, as his 6’7″ azz scares her to death, beats her, and proceeds to pull her outside by her hair. We hope all parties involved find some peace and that everyone at least takes a real lesson away from all of this: That one bad decision will change the rest of your life forever. Images via Twitter
Shooting Spree Suspects Wanted To ‘Purify The White Race’ Shameless race-related incidents seems to be at an all-time high right now… A young couple accused of killing four people in a multistate crime spree last fall have been indicted of federal racketeering charges alleging the rampage was part of a campaign to “purify” and “preserve” the white race, the U.S. Attorney for Oregon, said Friday. A federal grand jury handed up the indictment Thursday against David “Joey” Pedersen, 32, and Holly Ann Grigsby, 25, prosecutor Amanda Marshall said in a news release. Grigsby will be arraigned Monday in Seattle. Pedersen’s arraignment in Portland hasn’t been scheduled. “The indictment in this case alleges horrendous crimes were committed as part of defendants’ white-supremacist campaign to kidnap and murder targets on the basis of race, color, religion and perceived ‘degenerate’ conduct,” Marshall said. They are charged in the killing, kidnapping and robbery of four people last fall: Pedersen’s father, David “Red” Pedersen, and stepmother, Leslie “DeeDee” Pedersen, on Sept. 26 in Everett, Wash.; Cody Myers, a 19-year-old from Oregon on Oct. 1; and Reginald Clark, 53 of Eureka, Calif., on Oct. 3. Clark was black and Grigsby allegedly told investigators that Myers, a Christian, was killed because his name sounded Jewish. SMH. The TV personality made headlines months ago when he claimed Trayvon Martin was killed because of his hoodie not because of his race. Now, Rivera is standing by his statement, reports The Root. Rivera appeared on Fox News on Friday to discuss Chicago’s rising murder rate. He claims that some of the city’s homicides occurred because victims wore “thug wear.” He went on to say, “I was right about the hoodie wasn’t I. I hate to brag but I got criticized by every pundit in America when I said Trayvon Martin would be alive but for the fact that he was wearing thug wear… he was was wearing the hoodie. Turns out now that we look at George Zimmerman’s interviews with the police; he didn’t profile Trayvon Martin because he was Black, he profiled him because he was wearing a hoodie… he was a strange kid wearing the same garb like other perpetrators of house break-ins in this community.” For all the education this guy has, he says some of the dumbest isht in the fawking world!
