New Study Links Online Hate Groups To Racist Murders A new report has come forward to shine light on the connection between on line hate groups and racially-motivated murders. via TIME According to a report released Thursday by the Southern Poverty Law Center, a non-profit civil rights organization, there has been a developing online trend of posters on online hate forums being “disproportionately responsible” for mass killings and racist crime. A community of “White Nationalists,” Stormfront describes itself as “the voice of the new, embattled White minority.” Users of the website were responsible for over 100 murders in the last five years, claim researchers. Past visitors include Wade Michael Page, an American veteran who killed six people in a mass shooting at a Sikh Temple in 2012. Another was Anders Behring Breivik, the Norwegian extremist who killed 77 people in a shooting spree at a youth summer camp in 2011. “It has been a magnet for the deadly and deranged,” said Heidi Beirich, author of the report. People certainly underestimate the effects of online hate groups.  Do you agree with the findings in this study?

Sad and senseless. Boy Shot Twice In The Head In Brooklyn Crossfire It’s a shame this innocent boy could possibly die over senseless violence. According to NY Daily News: A 13-year-old was shot twice in the head in East Flatbush, Brooklyn, Monday when he was caught in the crossfire, cops and witnesses said. The teen was outside 1066 Flatbush Ave. with his mother around noon when he was shot once behind the ear and once in the eye, witnesses said. Pizzeria manager Rufino Salazar, 25, said the mother and blood-spattered son came running into Avenue Pizza II after the gunshots rang out. “He was shot in the right eye,” Salazar said. “She was screaming, ‘My boy is dying! My boy is dying!’” The teen, Gama Droiville, was taken to Kings County Hospital Center in serious but stable condition. Assitou Diallo, 49, was with her 10-year-old son outside the pizza shop when the bullets began flying. Diallo said she pushed her son inside the shop, and began trying to care for the wounded teen. “I was standing right there,” she said, pointing at the spot where the teen was struck. “It just missed me.” SMH.

Stop The Violence: 4 Confirmed Dead With 14 Injured After ANOTHER Gunman Opens Fire At Fort Hood Military Base In Texas

Yet another shooting at Fort Hood military base… Shooting Reported At Fort Hood In Texas A military base is suppose to be a very secure place and yet they have psychos running loose with guns. SMH. via NY Times As many as four people were killed and 14 were wounded after a gunman in uniform opened fire at Fort Hood on Wednesday, shutting down the sprawling Army base and inciting a huge police response, a member of Congress said. The shooting echoed the deadly rampage carried out there in 2009 by an officer who turned on his fellow soliders. Officials at Fort Hood released few details about the shooting but said that it appeared that the gunman was among the dead. On a conference call with reporters, Mr. McCaul said the authorities had identified the suspect as Ivan Lopez but that a motive for the shooting remained unclear.  The shooter was wearing an Army uniform, but it was unclear whether he was on active duty, Mr. McCaul said. In Chicago, President Obama described the shooting as a fluid situation that White House and Pentagon officials were closely following. “We are going to get to the bottom of exactly what happened,” the president said. “We’re heartbroken something like this might have happened again.” Gun contol in this country is a must. Shorty wanna be a thug … Kahton Anderson To Be Tried As Adult In Bus Shooting Murder Via NYDailyNews The 14-year-old gang banger accused of gunning down an innocent Brooklyn father of two on a crowded city bus was armed with a powerful .357-Magnum pistol, sources said. “Pretty big gun for a pretty small man,” a disgusted Police Commissioner Bill Bratton said Friday after Kahton Anderson was charged with second-degree murder and ordered to stand trial as an adult. The lanky Anderson, who was aiming at a rival gang member when police said he fatally shot 39-year-old Angel Rojas in the head, said nothing as he was led out handcuffed from the 79th Precinct stationhouse in Bedford-Stuyvesant. “The stupidity of those gangs that basically, over nothing, are trying to kill each other,” Bratton fumed. “Unfortunately, in the process, (they) kill innocents as they did with this hardworking young man trying to raise his family.” Anderson was arraigned Friday in Brooklyn Criminal Court and ordered held without bail. He never cast his eyes toward his mother and at least four other family members who sat in the court. Prosecutor Lindsay Gerdes said Anderson “made statements to police shortly after being arrested, admitting his participation in the crime.” Although Kahton is very young, he’s far from a baby, and his mother seems a lil delusional about who her son really is. This is not Anderson’s first brush with the law — he has a prior arrest from 2011 on his rap sheet. The details of that bust were not available because it was a juvenile arrest and his file is sealed. Still, his mother tearfully called her son “a good kid,” even as she said she would pray for Rojas’ family. “A tragedy has happened,” said the mom, who declined to give her name. “Both families are suffering a loss.” Her son, she said, is just “a child.” “My son did not get on some bus and start shooting,” she said. Unfortunately, ma’am, that is exactly what he appeared to do. Yes, both families are suffering a loss, but there is only one victim here. Former Venezuelan Beauty Queen Monica Spear Murdered A group of aint isht scumbags have left the 5-year-old daughter of a former Venezuelan beauty queen without both parents after they murdered the woman and her husband during an attempted robbery before shooting the child in the leg. via THG Tragic news today out of Venezuela: Monica Spear, a 29-year old wife, mother and former Miss Venezuela, was killed in an attempted robbery last night. According to local police, via Globovision, the ex-beauty pageant winner was in the car with her husband and daughter when their vehicle crashed. Assailants then approached the family and murdered both Spear and her husband, Thomas Henry Berry; their five-year old girl was left with a bullet wound in her leg. The trio had been on vacation and were traveling in a Toyota Corolla toward the city of Valenica when the horrible incident took place. Spear won the crown of Miss Venezuela in 2004 and took part in Miss Universe 2005 in Thailand. She had appeared in a number of Venezuelan and Telemundo soap operas since then. Wow. Hopefully they catch the lowlifes that did this!

It’s A Wrap: Newtown, Connecticut Residents Vote To Tear Down Sandy Hook Elementary After Tragic Shooting Massacre

No one wants to be reminded of that day in the slightest… The City Of Newtown, Connecticut Votes To Demolish Sandy Hook Elementary Via WBUR In a referendum marked by a large turnout and an emphatic result, the people of Newtown, Conn., have voted to demolish Sandy Hook Elementary and build a new school. Sandy Hook was the scene of a mass shooting last December, when 20 children and six staff members were killed. Saturday’s vote asked citizens to decide whether to take nearly $50 million in state money to fund the demolition of Sandy Hook and the planning and construction of a new school on essentially the same site. “The vote was 4,504 yes to 558 no. The registrar of voters said Saturday’s referendum had the highest voter turnout the town has seen since the 2008 presidential election,” reports the News Times. “I thought it was going to pass by at least 80 percent, but it’s more like 90 percent. It’s time to bring our children home,” Selectman James Gaston Sr. tells the Newtown Bee. Since the attack, former students of Sandy Hook Elementary have been attending school in nearby Monroe, Conn. “This was another hurdle overcome,” Board of Education Chair Debbie Leidlein tells the Bee. “Now we’re ready. We’ve got great plans moving forward to bring our families home.” We can only imagine that there are lots of people in Newtown still grieving after their loss. Daughters Return Home From Store To Find Their Mother Dead A Brooklyn man is the prime suspect in a murder after he sent two young girls (pictured left) to the store while he was home alone with their mother (pictured right) and they returned to find her dead. via NY Daily News Two Brooklyn girls — given $8 by their mom’s former boyfriend to get food at a nearby chicken joint — returned to find their mother dead in a pool of blood, police sources said. The two daughters, 5 and 15, left their Brownsville apartment around 8:45 p.m. Wednesday and headed to Crown Fried Chicken around the corner, police sources said. When the girls got back 15 minutes later, they found a scene of unspeakable horror. Their mother, Sellis Gonzales, 46, was lying motionless on the floor. She was shot six times — three bullets to the head and three to the midsection, police sources said. Khadija, the older sister, called her grandmother in North Carolina to break the news. “My mother is on the floor covered in blood,” she told her grandmother, her voice shaking in hysterics. Cops late Thursday identified the ex-boyfriend as Eric McCormick, 40, and said they were searching for the suspect. The Gonzales family said McCormick is a cross-country truck driver who had abused his girlfriend in the past. “We know it was him,” snapped Ursula Gonzales. “This was not the first time he hurt her. He’s a control freak. He’s controlling and abusive.” The importance of taking heed to warning signs in an abusive relationship can never be stressed enough, especially when there are children involved. There aren’t enough kleenex in the world to prepare you for this one… 1-Year-Old Girl Shot Dead While Walking With Babysitter In New Orleans Via NYDailyNews A city is looking for answers after a one-year-old New Orleans girl was gunned down in the arms of her babysitter while they were on a walk down a city street late this week. Little Londyn Samuels was killed after a bullet continued through the back of her 18-year-old nanny on Thursday night, leaving the babysitter wounded, but in stable condition as of Saturday. The two had been on a stroll through Central City, when shots rang out around 8:20pm. NBC News reports that there were two shots fired, both passing through the babysitter’s torso and into baby Londyn. She was able to frantically call Londyn’s father, 20-year-old Keion Reed, alerting him that his little daughter was shot. Her mother, Andrea Samuels, 22, broke down crying when she heard the news, family members told WWLTV. “She was my world, she was everything, she was my reason for getting up in the morning,” the grief-stricken father later told the station. Family members told the Times-Picayune that Londyn was just learning how to walk. “She used to stand on her feet and try to wiggle,” her aunt, Euneka McGee, 20, told the paper. Lord Jesus… According to the Times-Picayune, the NOPD has taken in a man and a woman for questioning, and are searching for a second man in regard to the shooting. The city’s mayor, Mitch Landrieu, told NBC News that the violence must be quashed. “When a young man kills a child in the arms of an 18-year-old, we have to take it to a new level,” he said. R.I.P. Londyn Samuels. We can’t even imagine the pain that this family is feeling right now, our thoughts and prayers are with them.
