Kanye West Parkinson’s Lyric Sparks Outcry

Kanye West is “ignorant” and “distasteful,” according to the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, and not just because he impregnated Kim Kardashian . The group is livid with the new father of Kaidence Donda West (or whatever the baby name really is) for lyrics that use Parkinson’s as a punchline. In “On Sight,” from his new album Yeezus , which dropped Tuesday, Kanye raps “A monster about to come alive again / Soon as I pull up and park the Benz.” “We get this bitch shaking like Parkinson’s.” Yeah. We can see how some might not be thrilled. In response to the song, APDA VP Kathryn Whitford said in a statement: “We find these lyrics distasteful and the product of obvious ignorance .” For over 50 years, the group has been the nation’s largest organization dedicated to helping those with Parkinson’s and furthering efforts to find a cure. No response from Kanye’s camp … but we don’t recommend taking a page out of Lil Wayne’s playbook following that rapper’s Emmett Till “apology.” What do you think? Domino Book Chain Collapse Sets World Record

This awesome video of books collapsing has set a world record for longest domino chain – and it’s all for the good cause of encouraging kids to read. The Seattle Public Library set up 2,131 hardcover books end-to-end in an effort to promote its Summer Reading Program, then filmed the thing. Concept designers Luke Greenway and Laura D’Asaro assembled lines of books that traverse stacks, climb stairs, and even spell out the word “read.” Not only that, the tumbling works encircle a number of library patrons in action! Kim Kardashian Baby Name: Kaidence Donda West?

Ladies and gentlemen, say hello to… Kaidence Donda West! While Kim Kardashian is yet to speak on her daughter – and while the world’s most publicity-hungry family has been oddly silent since Kim gave birth on Saturday – we’re now hearing the Kimye baby has been christened with the aforementioned moniker. The rumored middle name is after Kanye’s late mother, who passed away in 2008 from plastic surgery complications. The rumored first name, meanwhile, seems to make sense based on three factors: It has a connection to music. It is unusual. It begins with the letter K. The family was reportedly taken by surprise when Kim went into labor five weeks early and is scrambling to determine the best way to monetize the new addition. Electric Road That Charges Cars: Tested By Volvo

As demand for electric cars rises, Volvo and Swedish power company Alstom are teaming up to create a road that charges vehicles as they drive over it. One of the biggest complaints around electric cars is that their batteries just aren’t good enough for going on long trips, limiting their use to urban areas. Some innovators have suggested solutions like extra batteries you could keep in the car, or an optional detachable motor that propels the car from behind. Volvo and Alstom are thinking way bigger than those quick fixes. In their attempt to develop a surface that charges vehicles merely by existing underneath them, they build a quarter-mile long track at a Swedish test facility. It’s not clear how this would scientifically happen, but the goal, obviously, is to keep electricity supplies constant, rendering battery concerns irrelevant. The project is in its very early stages, but cool idea, no?

Sean Lowe to Desiree Hartsock: Pick Bryden Vukasin!

Sean Lowe may have found true love with Catherine Giudici, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t wish Desiree Hartsock the best in her new quest for love. He has an opinion on who she should pick, too: Bryden Vukasin! Sean says he and Catherine Giudici are both big fans of Bry. “Catherine and I watched the first two episodes. I think so far Desiree is doing a great job. Catherine and I both like Bryden , the military guy,” he said. “He seems the most normal, like a man’s man, whereas, I think at least in the first few episodes, so many of those guys were caught up in the drama already.” “Bryden seems like a cool dude, so I think we’re both rooting for him.” Desiree certainly likes Bryden, seeing as she’s kissed him twice so far this season and he’s survived through the first four episodes, including last night. How far does he make it? See The Bachelorette spoilers if you dare. As for other advice he’d give? To get “thick skin,” but that’s about it. “I think Des is gonna do just fine on her own,” Lowe said. “She’s a smart girl, and I think she has a lot of great qualities. I don’t think she’s gonna have any issues.” Can Bryden be the man Des dreams will sweep her off her feet? Or will Zak, Brooks, and others step into that role? Time will tell. New John Mayer Song: A Diss to Taylor Swift?

John Mayer has released his latest track, a single titled “Paper Dolls,” and it has the Internet buzzing. But not because some woman is strolling around in the video showcasing her prancercise skills. Even though she is. Instead, the Twitterverse and Facebook worlds are abuzz with chatter that this is Mayer’s revenge against Taylor Swift – and there’s strong evidence to back this claim up. John Mayer – “Paper Doll” “You’re like twenty two girls in one/And none of them know what they’re runnin’ from,” reads one lyric, making listeners think of Swift’s “ 22 .” Then there’s Mayer’s reference to someone painting “another sky,” which would seem to be a rebuttal to Taylor’s 2010 single “Dear John.” It included the words: “You paint me a blue sky and go back and turn it to rain.” Mayer kicks off his summer tour July 6 in Milwaukee. In the meantime, listen to his latest effort above and react: Is he going off on Swift in “Paper Dolls?” And is he out of line if so? Or does Taylor have this coming? She did once tell ex-boyfriends to bring it , after all.

Draya Michele And Shaniece Hairston Party In L.A. The sun was shining bright in Cali this weekend and what better way to take advantage of the nice weather than to hit the daytime party scene. BBW Reality star and L.A. party girl Draya Michele was spotted at the TOXIC Day Party held on the Lure Patio in Hollyweird sippin and stuntin’ with a host of her ‘fine azz girls’ crew. Taking advantage of the Summer weather, Draya hit up the day party in a colorful two-piece short set with her waffle-colored cakes and abs of steel on blizzy blast. Also spotted coolin’ out in Lala land was BBW star Evelyn Lozada’s daughter Shaneice Hairston, who celebrated her 20th birthday by getting slizzard at  a pool party attended by close friends and family. Pretty sure it’s a bad idea to post pics taking bottle to the head when you’re not quite legal. SMH. During an uncharacteristically wild night out on Sunday, June 9, he was attached at the hip with leggy blonde model Shayna Terese Taylor, and Playboy‘s Playmate of the Month for May, Kristen Nicole, as well as a third mystery blonde. After arriving around 5:30 pm to sbe’s XIV Summer Sessions in Los Angeles, Ryan hunkered down at a table next to the DJ booth drinking Grey Goose an insider tells RadarOnline.com. He was accompanied by a “mystery blonde,” the NY Post first reported, but Radar has learned that Seacrest actually enjoyed the company of THREE fair-haired honeys. Though he stopped to take a pic and chat with Shayna Terese and Kristen, he grabbed yet another blonde in an orange top for a stint in the DJ booth around 6:30 pm. “He asked if he could go up there and stayed for like 30 minutes with the girl in the booth,” the source says. “Then they brought out a couple bottles of champagne and he was spraying the crowd,” the insider says. “The crowd was going crazy and Ryan was loving it. He didn’t even want to get off!” Around 8:45pm, he finally called it a night. Meanwhile, his ex, Julianne Hough, was spotted on the arm of her brother, Derek, across town at the Season 2 premiere of Starz drama Magic City. Happy 50th Birthday, Johnny Depp!

Johnny Depp hits the half-century mark today. One of Hollywood’s favorite actors for years, the Kentucky native is showing no signs of slowing down as he enters his sixth decade on this ninth of June. A critical and fan favorite, he was 2012’s highest-paid actor while winning Best Actor at the Golden Globes for Sweeney Todd: The Demon Barber of Fleet Street . He also claimed the SAG Award for Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl , and can be seen this summer with Armie Hammer in The Lone Ranger . Not bad for a 50-year-old. He’s also reportedly dating Amber Heard , his gorgeous Rum Diary co-star, after both thespians ended their respective, long-term relationships last year. Between Depp, Brad Pitt (49), Tom Cruise (50) and George Clooney (52), it’s looks like 50 is the new 30 for Hollywood leading men these days. Happy birthday Johnny!
