I’m not trying to make you guys depressed or jealous or anything, but there’s at least two things in this throwback picture of Emily Ratajkowski at last year’s Super Bowl that 99.9% of us will never get to experience: 1) attending a Super Bowl and 2) getting within two feet of Emily’s perfect cleavage. Oh well. Better luck next year, I guess.
The Petty Bushes Slid Thru & Won The Super Bowl 999-year-old Presidential couple George H.W. & Barbara Bush won the Super Bowl with their coin toss appearance that came just weeks after they fake died to avoid Trump’s cheeto dusty Inauguration in a deliciously petty moment we’ll never forget. Hit the flip for the best (and funniest) reactions to the Bushes appearing at the Super Bowl after curving Trump’s inauguration.
As you’re no doubt aware by now, the New England Patriots defeated the Atlanta Falcons in the first overtime Super Bowl in NFL history. One of the more memorable images of the Pats come-from-behind win was Tom Brady’s supermodel wife, Gisele Bundchen, celebrating with selfies and giddy dancing in the team’s luxury box. If a report published today by Radar Online is to be believed, however, it seems the couple’s revelry may have been short-lived. The website claims that now that Brady has earned a record fifth Super Bowl ring, Bundchen is pressuring the 39-year-old to hang up his cleats. “Giselle is begging him to retire and go out on top. She has retired and wants him to too,” a source claims. “They have more money than they can ever spend and she is worried about him.” Yes, the Bundchen-Brady crew certainly isn’t lacking for cash, and she the insider says she already knows exactly what she wants their lives to look like post-football. “Giselle wants Tom to follow the David Beckham model post sports,” the insider continued, “Do endorsements, modeling and personal appearances.” Unfortunately, it seems her pleas to step away from the game are falling on deaf ears: “He is a competitor and thinks he has another five years in him. He thinks he can win again,” the source claims. It’s true that Brady has talked about sticking with the sport he loves into his 40s, but it seems unlikely that Bundchen is doing much to discourage him. After all, Brady is somehow at the top of his game and his thirst for competition is well-known throughout the league. Of course, if Gisele does have concerns for her husband’s safety, they’re certainly not unfounded. The more we learn about the damaging effects of CTE and frequent concussions, the more we realize that it’s crucial for players to know when to step away from the game for good. Brady may be the best quarterback to ever play the game, and for many, he secured his “GOAT” status with last night’s victory. It’s tough to imagine what more he could stand to gain by staying in the league, but Tom Terrific didn’t get to where he is without an unquenchable desire to prove himself again and again. During his ill-fated run for the presidency, Jeb Bush referred to his father, former President George H.W. Bush, as the greatest man alive. The 2016 election obviously didn't turn out the way his family hoped, but judging by the reaction his old man got at Super Bowl LI? Jeb! hit the nail on the head with that statement. George Bush served one term as president from 1989-1993 before being replaced by Bill Clinton, who defeated him in his bid for reelection. The father of Clinton's successor, George W., the elder Bush has become an even more respected statesman in the two decades since. He and former First Lady Barbara Bush received a massive ovation as they oversaw the coin toss at the big game on Sunday night. It marked the first public event since the couple – based in Houston, the host of the Super Bowl – was hospitalized within days of each other. George went home from the hospital last week after being treated for pneumonia. He had been at Houston Methodist Hospital since January 15. After experiencing shortness of breath, he was later admitted to the ICU to address an acute respiratory problem stemming from pneumonia. Bush’s wife was admitted to the same hospital on January 18 as a “precaution.” Her doctors later said she was suffering from bronchitis. The hospitalizations forced the duo to miss President Trump’s inauguration on January 20, though they wished him the very best. Last night, the entire nation saluted the very best. The 41st President of the United States was taken to midfield for the coin toss in a wheelchair while his wife rode alongside in a golf cart. Bush is 92. Barbara, 91, married him 71 (!) years ago. The Bushes were greeted with a well-deserved ovation so loud, the game's referee struggled to be heard during the opening ceremony. The winner of the coin toss? America. And Atlanta, who went on to lose another coin toss, and the game in overtime, three hours later. Watch George H.W. Bush do the honors below!
