According to Daily Mail , doctors believe that unidentified lady may have come into contact with the leech during a bath in spring water. The leech was only spotted when she went to hospital complaining of her painful headaches that had lasted several weeks. Reportedly, the two inch creature had been living inside the woman’s throat for three months. Yikes! Hit play to see it wiggle out of her orifice.

R.I.P Young King: High School Football Star Dies During Routine Knee Surgery

Source: Winslow Productions / Getty Nick Dixon , a senior at Spartanburg High School in South Carolina, had just committed to joining the Wingate University football team next fall on a four-year scholarship, before he died during routine knee surgery. According to reports , Dixon suffered complications Friday during the surgical procedure to repair his ACL and Meniscus. School officials released a statement via Facebook, writing, Nick was a great person, great teammate and a great player…and will always be remembered. Anyone who knows Nick describes him as everyone’s best friend. A talented and highly respected student-athlete. As D7 grieves this unthinkable loss, we ask Nick and his family be remembered in prayer. Nick’s friends launched a GoFundMe campaign and raised more than $16,000 for funeral and burial expenses. Keep the Dixon family in your prayers.

Then burn it. *eyebrow raise* According to Metro UK, the former Spice Girl is eager to have some type of dramatic ceremony to finally rid herself of Belafonte from her life, despite the fact that they have a child together. Here’s what Mel told the DailyMail previously about the surgical removal: ‘I wanted the tattoo removed to help close the final chapter on a toxic relationship. Even though I’ve taken the steps to remove Stephen’s name from my body, the domestic abuse will forever remain with me.’ It is also said that Mel may forego the burning and toss the skin into the sea. Seems like a bit much, but whatever she has to do to heal from her abuse is fine by us. God bless.

Jones, best known for her long-running stint as a co-host on “The View,” underwent treatment as a follow-up to surgery she had 30 years earlier. “On Wednesday, March 17th, a pre-planned cardiac surgery was performed on Star Jones,” representatives for Jones told People magazine in a prepared statement. “This recent surgery is a follow-up to the thoracic surgery she had 30 years ago. The procedure was successful, and she is recovering well with her family. Star is grateful for everyone’s thoughts and prayers.” In the days leading up to her surgery, Jones, 47, hinted about her upcoming plans on Twitter . “It’s clear that God is trying to tell me something and I plan to listen,” she tweeted March 14 in response to a religious service she had attended earlier in the day. “I have a deadline to meet, personal matters to see to and several reasons to celebrate. So starting today, it’s 10 days of focused faith for me.” Following seven days of silence, Jones returned to Twitter on Sunday to thank her fans for their support in light of the surgical procedure. “Thank you for all the good wishes and prayers I feel them all,” she wrote. “By the way who knew ice chips could taste like steak!” Earlier today, Jones addressed the recent passage of health care reform, tweeting : “Can you imagine me trying to recover without health care? Those who voted against it need to [hang] their heads in shame.” Last week’s operation is the latest high-profile medical procedure for Jones, who underwent gastric-bypass surgery in 2003, resulting in a weight loss of 160 pounds. Jones celebrates her 48th birthday on Wednesday.
